This is my precious set of stories, this took me 2 weeks to finish and I love it, it's the story of my pack of chars and the Demon Lord (Who's name shall remain a secret, you have to read ;]) with the Demonai.
This is also the sereis of stories that the winning char of the contest will join and DragonKitty411's char "Hinto" would join if I won him.

Deep in the Alaskan wilderness, standing on an over-hanging ledge on the side of a mountain a large white wolf with blueish markings and a small glowing blue orb that looked like a blue fire ball that floated above it's back, it looked out over a large forest and to the mountains beyond, it sighed,
"Zarnesti sir, we have found it", a large black wolf with grey-black wings announced as it landed next to the white wolf, a slightly smaller white wolf with brightly coloured markings and white-cream wings the opposite side,
"Where?", Zarnesti questioned without looking away from the forest and mountains,
"Over beyond the high peak, deep in Clawe Valley", the black wolf, named Kain, answered cooly,
"Smoke rises from the wasteland in the middle", the white winged wolf, named Kraven, added,
"I see", Zarnesti commented, "Time to set things in motion", the two winged wolves flew upwards and then off toward another mountain, Zarnesti howled and slowly disappeared as he did.
Quite a long way off to the east in the small town of Nome a large wolf-dog named Balto jumped from an abandoned boat, stretched then walked slowly toward the town, a goose followed behind him,
"Not staying behind today Boris?", Balto giggled to his friend,
"No", Boris answered sharply, Balto gave him a sideways look and smiled,
"Don't you look at me like that!", Boris snapped, Balto turned away, still smiling, "Besides, you're useless without me" Boris added, Balto coughed sarcastically,
"Whatever you say Boris", Balto exclaimed as he rolled his eyes, Balto picked up the pace, he was on his way to see his mate, Jenna, who was with one of their pups from their second litter, a female named Saluka, she was trying out for the local sled team that ran the mail run everyday, another of their pups from their first litter, a male named Kodi, was moaning something to Jenna when Balto and Boris arrived,
"Kodi I've heard enough, behave yourself", Jenna scolded him, he sighed and held his head down,
"Why can't you find a racing team to join!", kodi whispered to Saluka,
"Coz I don't wanna race, I wanna do the mail run, deal with it!", Saluka scoffed at his comment,
"Kodiack!!", Jenna snapped, tired of hearing him moan,
"Listen to your mother Kodi", Balto warned as he approached, Kodi sighed again and looked back at his younger sister, she stuck her tongue out at him, he screwed his nose up at her and turned away, she giggled to herself, others near her giggled too. Kodi did'nt like his younger sister much, he always thought of himself as being the next fastest dog in town but Saluka had ruined that, she was smaller than him and thinner, much sleeker too and that made her faster, she'd always been the fastest of Balto and Jenna's second litter whereas Kodi had been slowest of their first litter, Saluka was agile too and ran rings around him whenever she got the chance, Kodi felt his parents always took her side and unfortunately for him Kolchak was the only one of his siblings still hanging around and Kolchak could'nt care less if Kodi was having a hard time of it,
"Thanks for the help Kolchak!", Kodi spat at him when he walked past,
"No problem", Kolchak replied sarcastically, Kodi huffed and scraped the snow with his paw,
"Get the dogs ready!", a man shouted to all the owners, Saluka's owner was a young man, about 20ish, he strolled over to her and led her to the starting line,
"Knock 'em dead girl", he said to her as he ran his fingers through the long, soft fur on her neck, she barked and licked his face, the announcer signalled the race was about to start and everyone moved away, the dogs readied themselves, Kodi sat on the sidelines feeling annoyed, he knew Saluka would probably win, three more dogs came and stood next to him, one looked mostly like a huskt with only a few brown marks, the other was mostly brown with patches of red and the other was all brown with cream markings, the mostly red one was called Mika, the brown one with red patches was called Zarkee and the all brown one was called Sarchie, they were Saluka's siblings, Kodi never had much to do with any of them but Sarchie made him laugh, he reminded him of his own sibling, Aleu, she had been all brown too and had run away to join a wolf pack, Sarchie had been planning to leave to join a wolf pack too, he was going to find his older brother Tenaka, he'd also joined a wolf pack but he did'nt look like a wolf, just preferred to live like one, Balto and Jenna did'nt mind, they'd talked with him about it and he'd agreed not to go until he was 2 years old, he'd be leaving in two weeks. The flare went off and the dogs set off, the track went around the outskirts of the town then back down the main street, the same track Balto had run years before, as predicted Saluka came first, Kodi groaned as she crossed the finish line, he turned away. Saluka's owner went to her, gave her a hug and stroked her head, the Musher of the sled that ran the mail run congratulated him as they agreed she would run on his team, Kodi had been listening and gave a deep sigh when he heard them agree, Saluka grinned at him,
"Well done", Balto congratulated her as he and Jenna approached, Jenna nuzzled her.
Two weeks later a pack of wolves and dogs a mile or so outside of town were watching a light grey female named Alexi argue with a cream and brown husky named Ben, they were arguing because a collie/husky cross named Mist and a red Husky named Stitch had told Ben that Alexi fancied him and told Alexi that Ben did'nt like her and when Ben tried it on with Alexi she snapped and they'd been arguing ever since, Stitch and Mist were the only ones finding it funny, Tenaka, Jake, a medium sized darker grey male wolf, Snowy, a small white and brown female wolf, Moonlit, a smaller blueish coloured female wolf and Valo, a large black male wolf were all unimpressed with the joke, Valo was growing irritated by the bickering and snapped at them,
"Enough of the arguing!", he shouted at them, Alexi and Ben jumped at the at the loudness of his voice, Stitch and Mist stopped giggling too,
"No more of the fighting", Valo scolded them, "And you two should grow up!", he shot at Mist and Stitch, they both slank back, Jake removed his paws from over his ears and gave a sigh of relief, Valo sat back down,
Tenaka relaxed without the arguing. After an hour Valo heard a sound in the bushes, he raised his head and stared towards the bush,
"What is it?", Tenaka asked noticing Valo, the others all looked in Valo's direction too,
"Something in the bushes", he answered without looking away from the bush, the others all stood up, Valo did too, he raised his hackles as something approached, he was about to attack when a brown dog stumbled out of the bush, he was mostly light brown with dark brown and white markings, they could smell that he was like Tenaka, part wolf, Valo rolled his eyes,
"You deal with this one", he told Tenaka as he turned his back on the new-comer,
"Something I said?", the dog asked as Tenaka walked up to him,
"Oh, never mind Valo, he's just that way with everyone, I'm Tenaka", Tenaka told the dog,
"Tenaka huh?", the dog asked,
"Yeah...why?", Tenaka questioned,
"Heh, I'm Sarchie, your brother", Sarchie smiled, "Glad I found ya",
"Brother?", Tenaka exclaimed,
"Yeah, mother Jenna, father Balto, both from Nome...", Sarchie half explained,
"So mum and dad had more pups", Tenaka asked feeling quite shocked,
"Well obviously or I would'nt be here would I?", Sarchie laughed, Tenaka just looked stunned,
"So who's the leader?", Sarchie asked, no one really knew, they had'nt thought about who their leader might be before,
"Valo!", Jake announced without thinking, everyone looked at him, "Valo is", he said again, they all thought about it for a couple of seconds then all nodded in agreement, Valo looked shocked for the first time,
"So...can I join your pack then Valo?", Sarchie asked, Valo looked at him,
"Why not, one more dog won't hurt", Valo moaned at the thought of another dog, Sarchie smiled. Later that night Jake explained to Valo why he said he was their leader,
"You're the largest, fastest, strongest and wisest of all of us, it makes sense for you to be our leader", Jake told Valo, Valo nodded and then walked off to sleep on what had become his rock, it was the tallest around and he could keep an eye on everything from there, he smiled to himself at the thought of finally being the leader of his own pack. Next day the pack went out hunting to teach Sarchie the ropes, the hunt went well and they all fed well, Sarchie felt happy he was part of the pack, so far he'd figured that Valo was to be left alone most of the time unless he wants to speak with you and that Mist, Stitch and Ben were at the bottom of the pecking order, he felt proud he was above them, Valo made them the Omega's because they were all dog, Tenaka and Sarchie were part wolf, whilst walking back through the forest, Tenaka and Sarchie talked the whole time about their parents and about Nome while Jake talked with Snowy, when Snowy and Moonlit first joined the pack they were inseperable but recently Snowy had been spending more time with Jake, Valo rolled his eyes and carried on walking ahead, after only a few steps he stopped dead, Tenaka and Sarchie walked right into him,
"What is it?", Jake asked, Valo's ears twitched back and forth, everyone grew nervous, Valo span around and faced the way they'd just come, all the others turned too, Stitch, Mist, Ben and Moonlit were closest to the the path they'd walked down, something was approaching, and fast, they all flicked their ears as they listened, as something came into view they thought it was a wolf, it's silhouette was like a wolf but something was wrong about it, none of them could figure out what it was...at first, when the wolf came to the bottom of the hill they could see what was wrong, half of the wolf's face was missing, the right side of his face looked normal, even though it was spattered with blood but the left side was missing, all they could see was the wolf's skull, blood was flowing from many open wounds all over the wolf's body, skin was also missing from it's right front leg, they could easily see the bones and muscles in it's leg, it also had a large open wound on it's left side which it's ribs were visible through, they were all so busy studying the wolf's appearance they forgot it was attacking them, it ploughed into Mist's side then grabbed Ben's leg swinging him aside then bit down hard on Snowy's shoulder, Valo regained his composure first and attack the wolf, he grabbed it's tail and pulled it off Snowy then slammed it into the ground and pressed his paw into it's chest and bit it's neck, Jake helped Snowy up and Moonlit helped Mist and Ben get up then they all ran back to their den while Valo fought with the wolf, Valo and the wolf ripped at each other until the wolf finally ran off, Valo ran after his pack, when he arrived Jake was licking Snowy's wound clean while Tenaka and Moonlit were helping Mist and Ben recover from the attack while Sarchie was trying...and failing to calm down a hysterical Stitch,
"What was that?", Jake gasped when he saw Valo arrive,
"I don't know", Valo growled as he realised that not only did not know what the wolf was but that it had gotten away from him,
"That was not of this world", a deep voice exclaimed, the whole pack looked toward Valo's rock where a large white wolf with blue markings stood proudly with a white wolf and black wolf that both had wings landed either side of the rock and bowed their heads respectfully to Valo,
"If it was'nt of this world then where is it from?", Valo asked the wolf,
"It is from the world of demons", the wolf answered,
"Demons?", Valo raised his eyebrow, the wolf nodded,
"I am Zarnesti, I was hoping this would'nt happen, I am sorry this had to happen to your pack Valo", Zarnesti started to explain,
"How did you know my name? and what do you mean?", Valo questioned further,
"I am a spirit and a demon master known as Lord Loss has found his way through a rift from the demon world he dominates to this world, I had been hoping he would return but it seems he has other ideas" Zarnesti answered,
"So what was the wolf I fought?", Valo asked,
"That was a servant of the Dark Lord, it was no wolf, it has just taken the form of one, that was a Demonai, they have no name and are born only to serve Lord Loss, they are ruthless, you were lucky to escape", Zarnesti answered again, Valo thought about what Zarnesti had just said,
"What does this 'Lord Loss' want exactly?", Valo finally asked,
"He wants to rule this world, to do this he needs a sacrificial wolf pack that he will slaughter so he can release his hordes to take over this world", Zarnesti answered him,
"What's with his name?", Jake whispered to Valo in the hope he would ask the question to Zarnesti, but he need'nt have,
"His name, 'Lord Loss', reflects him, he is a lonely being, he enjoys despair and suffering of others", Zarnesti answered before Valo had the chance to repeat the question,
"What are these 'Demonai'?", Valo questioned,
"They were once regular wolves like you until Lord Loss captured them and tortured them, they are no longer real beings, after being subjected to his lair in the centre of the Demon world they have become creatures no longer of this world, in our world it takes 2 months to turn them but in the Demon world 2 months is an entire century, after that length of time in the Demon world you become like them, they feel no more pain, no more hurt only sorrow and sadness, if they fail on an errand Lord Loss sent them on he deserts them and this is when they remember, they become depressed and he feeds from their suffering until they finally die after 3 centuries of sorrow", Zarnesti answered him, Snowy shuffled close to Jake,
"I know it's upsetting but it seems the Demon Lord has chosen the pack he wishes to sacrifice", Zarnesti told them, they all jumped,
"That will not happen!", Valo exclaimed at his comment, he was'nt going to let his pack be destroyed just after he's gained it,
"I know and to do this you will need help, that is why we're here", Zarnesti gestured to the two winged wolves and they both nodded their heads,
"So how do we stop this happening?", Valo asked them,
"You must send Lord Loss and the Demonai back to the Demon World, they make their lair in the Dead Plains in Clawe Valley", Zarnesti informed them, Valo sighed,
"Clawe Valley is in the heart of the Shadow Lands", Valo sighed,
"Yes",
"How do we send them back if we even make that far into the shadow lands?", Valo asked,
"You must destroy the stone he keeps around his neck, it is the key to the Demon Lands", Zarnesti answered, "I must leave now, if you ever need help do not hesitate to howl for us", Zarnesti dissappeared as quickly as he had appeared and the two winged wolves flew upwards and to the North.
They all thought hard about what had been said for a good hour until Ben, Mist and Stitch stood up and started walking away, they had been talking quietly together since Zarnesti left,
"Where are you going?", Tenaka asked when he saw them leaving,
"Home, this isn't for us, we were just day dreaming, we don't have wolf in us, we've just been playing wolves", Ben explained to his friend,
"But you can't leave!", Tenaka protested, as they started talking Snowy walked just inside the forest for some peace, Jake followed her,
"Sorry, but we have to, we can't deal with all this", Mist spoke up, "But....",
"Leave them, let them go", Valo told Tenaka, he thought about arguing but instead he sighed,
"You'll still always be our friend, but we can't stay here anymore", Ben told Tenaka, he sighed and watched his friends leave,
"It's for the best", Valo told Tenaka as he sat beside him watching them leave,
"I know...but it's hard to let them go, they're my friends", Tenaka sobbed, Valo stayed quiet until they were out of sight then turned and lay on his rock. Meanwhile Jake had caught up with Snowy,
"Are you alright?", Jake asked her,
"What are we going to do?", Snowy asked him back,
"Well...we're gonna follow Valo and see things through", Jake replied,
"I don't know if I can do it", she sighed,
"I'll be with you", Jake tried to comfort her, she just smiled at him,
"You're very sweet", she told him, he smiled back, Snowy nuzzled him and he nuzzled her back,
"We should'nt", Snowy pulled away, "Only the leader should...", She trailed off,
"I know we should'nt but...", Jake hesitated,
"But what?", Snowy asked, "It's not right", she sighed,
"I can't help it, I want to be with you", Jake protested, Snowy looked at him, he nuzzled her neck and she leaned into him, she knew she should'nt but she could'nt help it either. An hour later they returned to the pack together, all the others knew what they'd done, Valo took Jake to one side, Snowy wanted to follow but Valo pushed her back,
"Valo I...", Jake started to explain, Valo cut him off,
"I know what went on", Valo told him, Jake gulped and hung his head,
"Be sure there are no young", Valo told him, Jake looked at him astonished, Valo looked back at him, Jake understood, they heard a rustling up ahead, Jake stared at the spot the noise had come from,
"It's not a Demonai", Valo explained calmly,
"What is it then?", Jake asked him,
"A regular wolf, a female I think, she's been following us for a week", Valo informed him, the look on Valo's face told Jake there was nothing to worry about and he returned to the pack, Jake curled up with Snowy, Valo looked at the area the wolf was hiding, he raised one eyebrow then returned to his rock, he did'nt sleep well, his thoughts were haunted by the Demonai he'd fought and the story of Lord Loss and the mysterious female wolf trailing his pack, he wanted to know what this peculiar wolf wanted, he'd tried once or twice to speak with the wolf but she ran away before he got within 100 metres of her, his new pack had already lost three members, although they were dogs that he did'nt like he also wanted a larger, stronger pack, this secretive female wolf may be needed.
