Ok, so, Archie went to the groomer's today. He goes every ten months or so but was really over-due so looked very, very scruffy. Anyway, the guy that came to collect him said he'd do a good tidy-up, bath and trim his claws. I'm guessing most people know how Archie looks.. -pokes avatar-

Now, imagine Cheif from Fox & the Hound... a black and white version of Cheif. That's how Archie looks. I thought he looked really silly when he came back but I'm just not used to seeing him like this.. I'll have pics up by tuesday so you can see what I mean xD

Ya we went into the pet store today and saw a bunch of dogs getting groomed. I saw a golden retriever looking quite content, a small white dog (bison frise is that how you spell it?) getting all his fur cut off. Poor thing was shaking like nothing ever. Then there was this huge husky looking dog (I'd say he looked a lot like a malmute) getting his fur all nice. Then I saw a black scottie and a Fox and the Hound Copper kinda dog.
Very cute and Archie looks very sweet. Can't wait to see some piccies.

Yeah.. we've had trouble with dog groomers in the past. I'm in the UK. Round here we've mostly got groomer's who set up themselves, they're professional but he doesn't go to a major grooming parlour. We had to get a new one because the woman who used to do him (and very well, I think she did what you were saying, Seppala) hurt her back and can only do small dogs now.

So.. this guy who picked Archie up seemed to know what he was talking about. He gave me the impression that he'd just thin it out and give his legs, tail and backend a good tidy up. By tidy up I meat cut out the mats and dead ends and such. But.. yeah.. I think you're right, Sepalla, they did a summer coat.

It's weird looking at Archie because he's so different. I don't actually know whether I like it or not.. that's why I didn't mention it. xD

We have updates, kids.

There wasn't much that we could do.. I just know that we never asked for the summer cut. On our invoice it says his breed.. border collie cross.. since when do Border collies look like that?! He's nice and soft but I wish they'd left some of his longer coat, he looks more handsome like that. Now he just looks like.. yeah.. like a greyhound.

He's cute both way before he looks like my old border collie Max he died at age 2
