First I took a real photograph of a wolf. I traced very basic lines, separating the colors. Then I colored.

Er, contour drawing first :

*Needs to be from a real life thing, it can't be a photo because its flat, contour drawing is observing the form (countours...) around a 3-dimensional object.

*Can't be traced over, cause well, that's just tracing, not contouring.

*You don't color contour drawings, they are supposed to be an emphasis on line.
