I do agree. :] I hate addoptions like that. It's just.. pointless. Like you said, if someone wants something specific, they can get off their lazy butts and do it themselves! It's not that hard.

Yes, I do agree with you there, I found adoptions through galleries to be alot more effective, with less wasted space and more fanart XD But yes, I particularly hate it when people adopt one, draw them once then never draw them again. I've seen like ONE picture of ONE character I put up for adoption, and that was out of six. It makes me angry, I didn't make those for no reason, I was not using them anymore and I wanted SOMEONE to use them. I would've figured those with creative plans for them would care enough to draw them at LEAST as often as Balto himself -_- But no.

Why in the hell would you ask someone to make you a character? No one on this planet can be that lazy! Seriously, come on!

I must agree, there is no point to people asking others to make them a character when they can use their imagination (however crude it is) to make it. Look, while I've typed, I'm thought up a Yorkshire terrier named Bob who wears glasses and wears a Bret Hart t-shirt. That was in about a minute that I thought of that.

I at LEAST give my charcter a pic of what they look like before doing the adopting thing.But I can see why It gets annoying with just the description but not showing the picture with it.

That's why I don't bother checking too often, I hate it.
Last time I checked it was the same few people all swapping chars and making brand news ones for each other, What's the point??
I always thought that adoptions was for characters you either don't want/use anymore or pups of one of your own chars, I don't get this whole "Can someone make me a pup?" thing, I thought that was a request not an adoption??

I think they should post adoptions/contests in their own galleries... in the artist presentation. Ray did that with her own contest, so why don't these people? Plus, having ALL the contests in ONE scrunched topic that Steet made isn't going to work... how are interested people going to find them all?

Yeah, I find this very annoying. While I was browsing through the posts to see what was new, all I saw were these sort of things. It really bugs me. And like what Whitewolf said, it was the same couple of people asking each other to draw a character for them, when all along, the character description was in the profile they wrote! That really gets me going.
