No, seriously folks. I don't know if this would be a rant or a suggestion, but either way, I honestly think mates gotta go. The drama is murder. It's like a BaltoSource soap opera!! You got this person crying their eyes on on the shout boxes because they finds out their mate is cheating on them, and you know what? It totally kills the fun conversation people were having before they came on. I've had that happen to me 1,000,000 times too many, and now, I think it should stop.

And needn't I bring up that old arguement again that this is a kids site? And is it healthy to have two people all goody-goody with each other when they're around -- especially when THEY THEMSELVES are only, what, 10-12 years old? Seriously. And you think the OLDER people on here are pervs...

What is there to do, I hear you ask. Well, I say we put up an ABSOLUTE-0 tolerance rule for talking about mates on the shout boxes AND the forums. Keep it STRICTLY to PMs, and if someone HAS TO tell another person, they can do it via e-mail or IM...or heck...any means OTHER than BaltoSource. And all emo episodes, submissive or not, are all subject to a ban.

Sorry folks. I used to be able to handle it. Not anymore.

I agree 100%, this is getting pretty rediculous Frankly, no one cares who did what to who. And if someone does, they are insane. I am tried of trying to be nice to these people who come on crying and saying they are gonna kill themselves because they lost their 'mate' or whatever. The so-called 'love of their life'. PSHHH! Most people here are just children! You can't expect any relationship to last!

I think this would be a very good rule. I've just encountered my first episode with someone talking about a mate cheating on them. It wasn't very pleasent. This rule would make everything so much easier. I agree with both of you on this one 100%.

Mate talks isn't allowed. It's what it says on the rules list, in the other hand that's RP folks. Not RL. Even if it was online.. you don't have to act like, you're gonna die or something.

Yeah, this sounds 100% good, I can't see why anyone would be against it... this is a BALTO site! I am not entirely certain what "Mates" are, but I can guess from what I have heard... we should just have a "No mates" rule, as you've stated. I don't see how anyone could say otherwise, except the people who do it.

MATES talks aren't allowed here!

Now, if the visitors can't read, I'm not sure I can't do much...
Warn and then report the visitors who do that, that's all I can say.

As for the forums, I don't think there are really mate discussions there, and if there are I probably missed them, in which case you must warn the mods.

Not necessarily. Because it can also work the other way around. Even if we DO put a NO-MATES-PERIOD rule, I doubt anyone will follow it. I suppose I just worded my suggestion wrong, so I apologize.

You got a rule about MATE...TALKING, true. But what the issue here is TALKING...ABOUT...MATES. None of us want to know, and I believe it can deem it accurate to say that no one really cares.

If you can get my true point, I honestly have no problem with the fact that there are mates. I don't. But it's the really annoying drama that I have to put up with -- that EVERYONE has to put up with. To be frank, I want to only appropriate mate-relaetd comment to be "My mate is XXX; (s)he is soo awesome!!" And that's it. If you can just get all the whining, all the fake tears, and all those completely disgraceful episodes to stop somehow, I would be a happy camper.

no that would be unfair to some people. i know what it would feel like not having a mate. thats creul because iv seen some people on the site that are REALLY bf/gf because they go to the same school. some got their bf/gf to join baltosource i see this acually as a way of people helping expand baltosource's amount of members. that is what a great site like this wants right, more members?
