I never drew wolves before. So I thank Drew for the Wolf Anatomy thread. I have a new appreciation for animators who try to make their characters not only look realistic but MOVE realistic. Looking realistic was hard enough.

So I photographed these sketches. I was too lazy to figure out my scanner.

1st attempt- I tried to draw from memory to amuse myself and see how close I could get.

2nd attempt- I looked at a wolf in the Wolf Anatomy thread and quickly sketched him in.

Profiles- I made a bunch of profile pics to get the wolf's head right. Again, Wolf Anatomy to the rescue! This is my favorite.

3rd Attempt- I decided to be bold (or cocky) and draw him at an angled perspective. It turned out ok I think. Treats to Drew for providing that thread. I made so much progress with that stuff he provided.

I'm naming this guy Blackbeard.

I colored the profile. I think the fur turned out rather nice. Although, I think the ears and nose need a bit of work. Please give some opinions or tips.
