I'm really sorry, if this is in the wrong topic, but I didn't know where to post it... so..

The "animation" program, some of you use, where you draw a drawing, and then edit it on the computer with some effects and stuff, so the drawing looks real cool... what is that program called?

sorry if I'm confusing anybody... :)

I think you mean programs like PhotoShop, well if so then you can buy PhotoShop or PaintShopPro but they can get expensive, you can also download Photofiltre or GIMP free, just tyoe in those names in Google or Ask.com.

This would have been better in the questions section on the main site.

I personally use ImageReady (it sometimes comes bundled w/ CS2, depending on the package you get) though I know that one can animate using only Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. ImageReady isn't really that great, but for me it's better than nothing. Many people use Flash, which is a really good program (I hope to purchase it within the next few years).

thanks^^

and I have heard of sketcher, but I've never used it- I know they have it at TLKFAA, but you can't use it unless you've uploaded art, which I haven't yet.

You can also use Jas Animation Shop 3.
You can purchase it for free, but a trial version.. and it's less sized, and of course.. another tehnique. But It's what I use.
Macromedia Flash is good too.. but that's much more complex. ;)

It really depends... most people use Photoshop, however, Photoshop was originally a photo editor. I, Nekkyo_Okami, and Ray all use Corel Painter IX, which is an art program... it's mostly the same as photoshop, but it's cheaper, and my graphic artist extraordinaire stated that, if you are solely into drawing on the computer and want to do art, use Corel. If you're a photo editor, and are planning on working with photos, use Photoshop.

Not true Kodi, Photoshop has been developed to work as an art program now as well. Painter is a program for serious artists, I would not advise a beginner getting it at all. The program its self is even more complex then Photoshop when going about layering. I would say if you are starting out get Adobe Photoshop Elements.
