The primetime line up (or the shows) that Cartoon Network has now is much more different than what it was in, say, 1996. The only old show they still have is Ed, Edd, N' Eddy (which will have its last episode in this April, this week I believe). What was wrong with Looney Toons or (my favorite) Cartoon Theatre (which is also how I think I saw Balto 2: Wolf Quest.) The cartoon people are getting on my nerve. I miss the older days...

And its not just Cartoon Network. Disney Channel has also changed. They don't even show Classic Disney Movies (or at least frequently).

I have a suggestion. Why not rent the dvds of some of these shows?
And if you miss them alot why not buy them?
This is why I don't really watch cartoon network or nick anymore.Disney still shows some pretty good movies and just last week they had Alice in Wonderland on.
The only channel I watch is the travel channel because I love alot of shows on it X3 Anyways those are my suggestions for you.

Bugs Bunny was racist sorry to break the news to you  Yes I wish it was like in the 90's it was better I liked the commericals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUVCFu5JiTM they were better then don't you agree? The shows now are just dumb and embarresing to watch except Foster's and Camp Lazo, and maybe Teen Titans

The old shows were better though

Dexters labratory

Bugs Bunny

Flinstones

Ed Ed and Eddy

PowerPuff Girls( I used to like them)

and all the other shows I had no problem watching now I'm embarressed to watch both Cartoon Network and Nicktoons (their shows are so STUPID now)

Cartoon Network these days, I'm getting bored with its 'kiddies', somewhat stupid and silly shows, waa, I miss the old days  . Anyway, Animax is waaaaay better then CN, less stupid, more serious --> more viewers

Cartoons are pretty crappy compared to the 90s. Even long running shows such as spongbob have become, well stupid after the years go by. Many of the shows I use to watch like to name a few, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, The Flinstones, Road Rovers, would be considered not appropriate in todays world. Dam, I miss the 90s. :( [/quote]

What I don't like now is that they've done away with "old" cartoons from the 50's and onward. (Loony Toons, Popeye, etc.) Now they only air them on Boomerang, a channel not many people have. (including me)

Well, do you have satelite or cable? Cause I have DishNetwork, and they put channels that I don't usualy have for free on the free channels (but I have yet to see Boomerrang)

What she's trying to say is why are they not on the air, not "I LIKE EM! I WANT EM' BACK ON THE AIR!"
I know what you're getting at Kiara. You have to realize though, Cartoonnetwork has been lowering the audience age they want to appeal to. Ages 10-18 would watch Toonami during the 90's at primetime. Now, Cartoon Network has decided, the lower the ages, the safer chances of more people watching. So... they're simply getting rid of what appeals to 9 and over the most cause that's a safe bet. Six year olds and 8 year olds don't understand what we see.

Also... the people who saw the original programing like you and me... we're getting older and there's less and less of a chance of the show designed for our generation appealing to the next (Show me a 10 year old today who would like Johnny Bravo Or Gundam Suit). So, CC is losing ratings as their once active audience is growing up.

The Times are a changin'. The junk we see today, it's not meant for us. Cartoonnetwork is kicking us out to make way for new viewers... and they'll get the same treatment 6-7 years from now.

I know EXACTLY what she is saying...but there are solutions to the problem......complaining will get you NO WHERE in the animation world. They could honestly care less about OUR opinion even with a petition.
Enough said,I am entitled to my opinions....

Sounds good to me. I'll just search for them on Youtube or something (though they don't always have them.)
