I'm sick of haveing people use the LKS as a private chat area. And when you go in to RP they get snappy at you.
The RP boxes need to be moded more.
To make myself more clear, I'm COMPLELTLY agree with you.
And something needs done about this.
It's really annoying to get pushed out of the RP box for RPing.

Good idea, I honestly think that a new rule like that would be a good idea, every time I check that there's no one there but just look back a bit and it had turned into a chat-box, it's crazy....if some kind of new rule does'nt work then maybe Steet should consider removing the RP box, there are RP sections after all.

I agree. The roleplay box is just a waste of space really. I have been told "They'd kill me if I go to the roleplay boards!"... I'd like to say as long as the roleplay does not ask for 'advanced' roleplayers, then no one shall shank you out of it. Seriously. And you know, roleplays dont even last in the roleplay box, so it makes PERFECT sense for those in the roleplay box to go into the roleplay boards here on the forums.

I not only think this rule should be made, but I also think that they should be required to learn how to properly roleplay too. I mean, because what they do in there just does not cut it. If you have to strain to understand what is going on, there is a problem. I am not saying be totally descriptive, but at least try to put effort into it.

I disagree. I discussed this with a few people before and they wanted people banned for not roleplaying in the RP box. That's just ridiculous, in my opinion. I know that it's a box for roleplaying, but come on, why ban someone because of something as asinine as that?

And about removing the RP box; I disagree with that as well. It is, in fact, the most popular box on the site and removing it would cause a great disappointment among more than half of the members. Plus, some people would rather roleplay directly and make a plot as they go rather than be controlled by the roleplays on the forums. It's completely different.

thats not fair because my friends are found in the rp box and they like to talk to me and rp. im not going to tell them to go to the shoutbox and interupt their rp. thats like telling someone what to do

Your friends may do it... but that doens't make it any better. They can rp, and still carry on a conversation on PM's I think it's rude for people to talk in the RP box.
You may think telling them to stop would ruin their RP, but if they are talking they are ruining EVERYONE elses rp. And if you ask me That's RUDE.

I agree with this idea that the RP box should be more closely watched and you should just RP in it because it's not another Shout Box or whatever. But I also agree with Kari that banning someone for this is kind of ridiculos. You'll live if someone is talking and not roleplaying. Seriously it's really not that big of deal.

I know...I hate when people are yelled at for using SMS once...Really it's not that big of deal unless they keep doing it. Even then I think banning for that is a little extreme...
