Can we not just let this go? Cat was demoded, please enough of this. Its been settled. Cat is still a member can she not post comments? Also once a moderator is demoded. They cannot delete anything. It is removed from their opitions. Steet deleted various posed from the Balto 4 topic, because of problems with the page loading. Some had to be removed in order to get the topic back in viewing order. A lot of things were cleared so the fourm and site can run in tip-top condition. Also the only people who can remove comments are comment moderators. Whom which Cat was not one of and she did not have this opition other then to remove comments from her own page. If your comments keep going missing, I suggest asking some of the comment moderators.

It's really a shame that it's like this... you shouldn't have to search for reasons to stay or even wonder why you came back...
on a site like this things should feel friendly... and well, they don't... thats all I will say for now.

Not really 'mysterious' deletion of comments. More like 'Mod' deletion of comments. If a mod thinks it is spam, then they will delete it. If its off topic, they will delete it. If the whole topic is pointless, they will delete/lock it. There also might be a glitch that deletes them off. If you really want to know WHY it was deleted, think about it for a moment. If you STILL can't seem to figure out why, then PM the mods, asking around. I know you wont hesitate to do that. But I would not continue to post it over and over again.

Mods are required by Steet to report any deletion of comments. As I said before, their was a huge problem with the Balto 4 Topic. Many members who left and deleted their profiles. Once you delete your profile on this site your comments are removed. It left pages of space on the Balto 4 Topic. No one was really able to access it. Steet did something on the fourm which deleted numerous comments and or added them back in. This is probably what happened to your question. I myself did not delete it, nor did I see a moderator report it had been deleted. If it was this important, why not just repost it and I'm sure it will be answered again. Also I had no idea you even posted in the topic, someone else must have answered your question from the project.

What? No, in fact it's the opposite : posts which were not visible because of deleted members were made visible to correct the problem. But this affects the forum only, not the site.
About your problem, I don't know the reason why the messages got deleted, this may also be a bug. But I checked the questions page, and the whole Balto 4 question was deleted (because it was useless, probably, as it has been answered many times already - but mods should have linked the question to another instead of deleting it...), so obviously your message was deleted as well.

Steet, have you checked the moderation logs? If, in any case, someone did delete it purposefully and/or vengefully?
