Has anyone ever read any of these 4 Tripods books? I've only read half of "The White Mountains." If you HAVE read any of them, are they good?

I've read them all and I think they were awesome My favourite had to be the third book but they were all good! I thought there were 3 not 4 books?

No, they made another one, everyone says that there are 3 because its called the Tripod Triligy...but the Tripods are machines/aliens that put a "cap" on people.

Is that the one called "When the Tripods Came" which is set 20 or so years after the third one? I haven't read that yet because I just have the first three at home.

Have you seen the TV series? I've seen clips of it on yotube.

no, TRIPOD means 3, i don't know what triligy means. yes, thats the 4th one.

I know Tripod means 3 I never said I didn't, and it's not triligy it's Trilogy (which means three) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trilogy
So Tripod is the name of the aliens (thus having three legs) and Trilogy (meaning 3 also) is the names of the original three Tripod Books thus "The Tripod Trilogy" He must have wrote the 4th one after writing the original three.

Hmm, I guess so, i never thought of that. Like I said, I've only read the first book called The White Mountains which is a GREAT book. I'm reading the second one tomorrow.
