Have you ever seen an amazing animal moment? You can post stories and videos here.
Mine was just today I saw two hares playing in my backyard. They were so cute but then a pug started barking at them and chased them away.
We live by a creek so we see some amazing animals. I've seen hares, blue jays, cardinils (I spelled that wrong!), foxes, and the most amazing animal I've seen was a doe right by our fence. If theres a doe theres gotta be a buck, and if theres a buck theres gotta be a fawn right?
Anyhoo whats your stories?

Ummm... I was riding my horse and she started to flare her nose, and pointed her ears forward... so I looked around and a FL. Panther walked out RIGHT in front of my horse and me...
then just kept walking... my horse tired to chase him.
Then another time I was riding my horse, I saw... deer (many times)
I've seen.... a bear... coyotes...
I caught a bunch of wild snakes... ^^ I love snakes.
Another time I was on a trial that goes for MILES and.. the strangest thing happened...
I ran into a stallion just running around... he was ungroomed and unkept.
he followed me home (because I was on a mare...) and I had to get 3 other horse riders to help me corner him and herd him in a fence.
I put up signs and a guy came to me and Showed me papers for the horse and said he had been missing for awhile.
^^ then he paid me a reward.

Even though I didn't witness the fight or the eating, my dad told me.
One day a cat wandered into my dad's barn and stuck all four feet in Houdini, my dad's heeler-dog. It was one heck of a fight, until Houdini chased the cat onto my dad's truck. My dad drove down the road hoping the cat would fall of, Houdini chasing the truck, with the cat still attached. Somewhere the cat got off and the fight continued, eventually winding back up at the barn, after my dad returned. Houdini got that cat until it couldn't fight no more, then he killed it. For a couple nights it laid there in front of the barn, until I scooped it up in a pitchfork and dumped it in the manure spreader. After sitting in the hot sun for days with absoulutely no shade or protection from the elements, the cat was nearly hairless, its skin was cracked and mumified and what I think was an intestine could be seen through a hole in the skin. It basicly looked like a wad of leather. Houdini jumped into the manure spreader, grabbed the "mummy", jumped out, and ate it, bone by bone.

Being outside at night and having my dogs howling along with the coyotes. That was amazing. It gave me chills. Seeing wolves on my uncle's deck was also something I will never forget.

I don't know.. there aren't many exciting wild animals around here.
I've seen a few foxes. Oooh.. when I was away for the weekend in this cottage in the middle of nowhere I saw a wild Barn Owl. That was nice.

I was once at the zoo looking at some meerkats. They were kept in an enclosure with a low wall around it. Some careless person let their dog put its front paws on top of the wall and it started barking at the meerkats. Some were terrified and ran for cover, whilst others stood on their hind legs and hissed at it. Meerkats are such fearless little animals.

I have a ton of memories with wild animals of some sort. xD But the most recent one was actually today! (June 6, 2007) I went outside to take care of my bunnies and there is this field behind us. I had to go out there and I heard something in the tall grass. Not really thinking of it, I just turned and glanced, my eyes catching something red. I turned back, but after a few seconds, turned around again and stood very still. There was a little fox kit sitting right at the edge of the grass just sitting there looking at me. I didn't want to scare the little thing so I just stood as still as I could, not walking either toward it or away. I just stood there, watching it as it was watching me. I can't even describe what a rush it was! Being that close to a little pure wild fox kit! We just stood there for about three minutes and it just turned and went back to the barn it's living in with it's mother and sibling.
Now doesn't that sound like it would be amazing? Well it was. And I'm so glad that happend. xD
Here is one that happened a few years ago when I still went to summer camp. xD So we were all walking through the woods to get to our camping area. There were about twenty of us or so and I was at the very back because I was feeling really antisocial and I love looking around at nature. xD So we were all walking and I saw a young fawn in the woods a little way off. Then I saw another one. I kinda slowed down so I wouldn't frighten them away. After slowing to a stop, one of the fawns walked out on the path. It was so close to me I could have very easily reatched out to touch it. And how desperatly I wanted to. But even at a young age I had a deep respect for nature and wouldn't have dared touch the young fawn. The other one stayed quite a ways back in the woods. After about a minute or so, the mother dear appeared and ran into the woods, both of her fawns following her. Then they were gone. Just like that.
That's all I shall put now, but I do have a few more. ;D

A few months ago, my dog was attacked by coyotes. She was actually seriously hurt and had countless punture wounds on her back legs. She was stuck in bandages for a full week and loss the use of her back legs for a short time. It was amazing because once I walked outside from hearing my dog yelp, the coyotes just stopped and looked at me like some foreign object but they soon took off and have not come back.

The closest thing that has ever happened to me was when my chihuahua had her pups, one day my sister's friend came to take one away. Suddenly I couldn't find one of the pups and all of us were searching, I panicked and grabbed my chihuahua, tied her to a scarf (don't ask) and took her all over the house, then she started to lead me to my room, to my bed and was sniffing my pillow, I flipped it and had a little bump, I reached inside and there was the puppy! My chihuahua isn't trained for that, she's not even potty trained. XP I'm too lazy.
