Nooo, they are doing it. And of course they will just spoil everything...
Some comments:
"In the original movie, we saw young Bambi being lead away by his Father, and three minutes later, time has passed and he's grown up
Yes, this scene according to Felix Saltens Book. After Bambis mother died (or in the Book this chapter closes with "Bambi saw his mother never again") there was a timeleap too, and in the next scene Bambi is grown up and scrub his antlers on a tree... so the "mid-quel" will probably leave the book´s story completely.
I think anyone who has seen the original Bambi can honestly say that the Prince REALLY didn't look like Father of the year material
This is according to Salten´s book too. Bambis father was very majestic and reserved, not a friend of useless words, letting find his son out the struggles of live for himself, but was always on his side and helped him, when the odds turned against Bambi. He was always in the background to pay attention on Bambi; remember the Scene after bambis birth, when the camera turned to the cliff on wich Bambis father, watching over his son from the remote, stands.
"
This have been taken from IMDB...
And as somebody said...
"The Great Prince becoming a "good father" TOTALLY kills the lessons of the book."
Oh well... comments?

Yeah it's stupid to make a sequal or midqual to a classic like Bambi. It ruins the story and most of the time the characters too. I really don't look forward to any sequals that Disney makes anymore unless it's to a more recent film that leaves the ending open for a sequal.

I agree with Greykitty.. It's dumd to make a sequal to Bambi. The movie is quite old.

Yeah 63 years without a sequel or midquel and now they make a midquel, a little late isn't it.

I can't wait to see Bambi 2 because we get to see Bambi growning up! But it is sad that they had to make a sequal to the classic though

Last time I saw Bambi was like a few weeks ago, when you watch it the story is just perfect with no need to fill any potholes in the story but now the midquel is going to do that and it's probably going to make the new midquel just like TLK 1/2.

Bambi never needed a sequel. It was a perfect classic, and although i havnt seen Bambi 2, i can sense that it destroys something that has earned itself through A LOT of years.

Allways about money... And the perfect classic, one of the first Disney movies, will now be spoiled with a lame intra-sequel.
