Well, I do. And I just recently started.
If you'd like, you can look at how I shade/use fur detail to help you.
What Also Helps:
Google (
http://google.com/) some wolf pictures and use those.
Wolf's Rain. These you can also Google, or find some videos on Youtube and watch how the shading changes with each movement. But
be careful because their anatomy is off [a lot].
Run! White Wolf. This helps with
some detailing. I don't think their shading is very "whoohoo-able", and they add
too much detail in the fur (makes the cartoon look cheaply made).
WildSpiritWolf can help you with paws/coloring detail. But PM her (send a note) if you reference one of her pictures and follow her guidlines (You can find her on DeviantArt).
But, if you'd like, I'll make a full-body turotorial on "how to draw detail/realistic wolves", but it might take a while... I'm falling behind here. XD
Other Helpful Art Tips
1.) Keep the picture balanced with a background.
2.) Try to 'break the frame' more than once (when the picture runs off the paper), otherwise this will cause an imbalance.
3.) Don't make the colors
too overwhelming. So no tie-dyed-furred wolves, at least not right away (this will make the picture look screwy).
4.) Try to keep the color's "solid" by blending some of a similar/very close shade to darken it up a little.
5.) Always make sure the shading is: in the right place(s), darker than the pelt color(s).
Well, I hope I helped! PM me if you'd like, and I'll help you out.
