I do like this page, and I know its ment for Balto fan projects, but do you supose it could be modified for other projects too? I ask, because I'd love to see my fan project up there, because it is serious too. And so, as I thought about it, I figured I'd make this a suggestion to make it for not only Balto fan projects, or a place for other fan projects.
Thoughts?

The main problems I see is that this is a Balto site, so steet might reject all other projects. In your case it is wolf-related, so I think there might be a slim chance it would be accepted. Also, it doesn't explicitly state that only Balto projects were allowed, even though that is what almost everyone beleives. Steet's layout project was in there, but then again he's the webmaster, he can bend the rules for himself.
If, steet does not accept these types of projects, you can always use your profile-if you are a person who has useless crap on the profile, clean it out and put your project on there (people don't like to read through all of your insane thoughts).
If the only reason you need a project page is you want a web-space for it, use the profile. Otherwise, if you want people on BS to come to your off-site link, just advertise every few weeks. But be subtle.
I am not against this, I just think there are some people working on non-Balto projects who might fill up the page. And too many projects = not enough people interested in one particular project.
Therefore, if steet does decide to accept these types, then he should be a little picky.
I do want to know what is going on with the fan community! Please post in the forums about your projects, anyone, because I'm sure alot of people would be interested.
I have my own project (Balto's Cave) that I want to share.
So, in conclusion I am undecided at this point about your idea, but I'm leaning towards agreeing. I hope I posted some useful points. Sorry for so many skipped lines, I just want to seperate the content a bit so it is readable.
(In this post I referenced Maya's project, on her profile-hence "in your case". Also "you" doesn't necessarily mean you, Maya, just for hypothetical use.)
P.S. I think I'll go change my profile now!

My profile looks long, but it really isn't that hard to read. A lot of it is just spaced out with lines or such. Nothing really special. And it has a special section to my A Wolf's Tail. ;] I have a site, and forums, but I would also like to advertise it more here, because a LOT of people go here.
And as far as I know, its only Balto related. But, I supose we will find out if he DOES allow this.
And it is stated that only SERIOUS projects are allowed. My A Wolf's Tail project happens to BE serious. I am very serious about it, but taking it slow. I know a LOT more people would jump at this oportunity to post a project... and Steet would probably get a lot of just stupid emails/PMs and such.
Even if this is a semi good idea (as I think about this, I can see the pros and cons, too) or not a good one at all, I've tried. ;] I'd just like A Wolf's Tail to get some more reconizion on BaltoSource. Its worth a shot, eh? Its better than some suggestions.

For now, I would prefer this page to stay with the most important Balto-related contests. But I will probably make another page/system for everyone to post their contests, because well, they should be on the site instead of flooding the forums as it is right now. And when I do, I will probably allow wolves contests or things like that.

Mine is not a CONTEST. I may HOLD contests for it, but it doesn't make it a CONTEST. Mine is a big project, like the Balto IV project, only BIGGER. (Sense it shall be a full animated movie). Its not some silly thing I started one week, and then forgot the next. I happen to care about this very much (although I am very slow at getting it done, with school and all this). Everyone wants to be some big shot with everyone here. Well, I dont. Thats not why I made this project. I made it because I want to make something of myself, for myself. I want to watch my story fly across the screen. So, I am. And I have people who want to help me.
I dont believe my project is simply a silly contest at all. And I'd perfer if it wasn't referred to as one either.

Ok. But that's something I will need to take account : projects != contests. Maybe the section I will make will allow both. I'll need to see how it will work.

Well, I have pretty much nothing else to say...
I do hope the page is made, but not many people know of the contests and projects page, since you can't see a link from the menubar. I would advise adding a link to your signature, but I think you already have one (my brain can't go a few seconds back to remember what your sig was.). So, yeah, I guess...
I think steet might take a little bit if he does decide to do it...I'm kinda confused by the statement he made...So is he doing it or not?
Just advertise your website as much as you can, but still be subtle, so not like posting in rant board topics such things as:
Quote: OMG COOL topicz yo CHECK OUT TRHIS NOW DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!! NOW!!!! PRESSYIT plz people go...there?>d,fgn dm
Now that's just spam. I'm sure you know spam is != to advertising XD.
I like that. !=. I'm goint to use that as shorthand...by the way steet was that a reference to coding? .

I will make a new section for contests and projects, but I don't know yet how exactly it will look.
