Got bored so I made this topic a while ago. Derived it from its former topic on another website. Seems to fit most suitable here, no?

My question is: what most commonly do you as an artist color your artwork with? Not that I really am all 100% caring in what you actually use, I just am interested in other artists' coloring methods.

Myself, I am a large COPIC marker user. They are my life and I use them for most my works (including my signature). I collect them by the dozens and hope to obtain them all within the next summer or fall here. However, the alternatives that I use are PhotoShop CS2, Illustrator CS2, and plain old colored pencils- both Crayola and Prismacolor.

Sample: (this was a picture I took a while ago for another friend who was interested in what I colored my work with- hence giving me the idea of this topic too. I obtained a few more markers and utensils during this period in between)

I work best with Sharpie markers and/or shading pencils. I'll use any brand of colored pencils I can get. I also do well with MS Paint and gelpens.

I HATE digital. Not to bash CG users, but it's just not art to me when you just point and click to color. (This is just my opinion. I don't want to be flamed for it.)

I use The GIMP, colored pencils, and Sharpies. If Copic markers weren't so rare and expensive in the US, I'd have every color of them by now.

Personally, I prefer Crayola Colored Pencils.

They color smoothly (if used correctly) and you can get a ton of shades from them. It's sharpening that's Crayola's downfall, and how easy the 'lead' is to break.

But, I tend to have trouble with other colored pencils/coloring tools. Exspecially on the computer (my Digital Art makes rotten meat smell good).

I have a lot of trouble out of RoseArt coloring tools. Something about them and *I* don't mix well when together. XD

So, I like to stick with colored pencils (Crayola), because my marker colorings look like poo. :B
