It's based off a book that I haven't read ( it's on my to-do list ). The movie may be a little tough to find, but it's definitely worth a look.
You said it I thought that the movie was pretty sad. I have the bonous edition and on there there is a scene with Soda Darry and Pony and Soda is crying cuz Darry and Pony were fighting again and it was so sad.

We had to read the book in 4th grade. I haven't seen the movie, but the book was ok. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it.

I love Dallas :3 XD Yeah, I had to read the book this year, but I already knew what happened [my sister told me...that, and I forced her to let me watch the movie XD]. I love both the movie and the book, although I wish I had the extended version of the movie. I only have the original, so some of the parts aren't exactly there XD. I find it's more fun to watch the movie in a classroom environment than at home. It's really funny watching with your classmates [especially mine. We had to compare and contrast the movie from the book, and one of the guys in my class kept on pointing out the fact that it looked like Ponyboy had an enormous mole on his neck XD] So yeah, I love the movie and the book
