Well Linkin Park is showing their new song off, This is just my opinion but they really should have not showed people this....It is not a good song..especially for them. They really need to go back to their Hybrid Theory roots. I'm going to pick up the album none the less, just in hopes that other songs might redeem them, but I am not really...thrilled at this moment.

This is my opinion thus far..if might change at some pint depending on if the actual album itself is good. But thus far my words stand.

"What I've Done"

It sounds nothing like them...which annoys me.

I had been keeping up with news on the song before last year so I expected this but I love the song I much better showcases the vocals of Chester and I can't wait to hear Mike.

Hmm, i like this song. It sounds a little different from their style, but it's still a good song. At the very least, at least this shows they havn't broken up.

In a recent interview with MTV.com, Chester explained that the nu metal sound from their previous albums is completely gone. He also stated that the new album is a mix of punk, classic rock, and hip-hop beats

Ok I'm not buying the album period. and I will no longer refer them as Linkin park. You lose your style..you lose your name.

I dunno if i'd go to that extreme. I'll probably end up buying the album like I have for all their CD's so far. Granted all of them have been lost due to an irresponsible sibling i lent them to. It doesn't come out till May 15th though. (Comes out May 14th everywhere but North America.) 'What I've Done' sounded good to me, i rather like the style they did the song in. From the same source I got the last qoute from:

Quote:
After hearing the entire album, AOL Music editors commented that it was "most melodic and diverse stuff they've ever written...some of the best music they've ever recorded.

I'm just curious to hear what the rest of the songs on the album will sound like. Mike Shinoda is supposed to be singing alot more in this one.

Honestly after thinking about it a little more could we expect anything less of Linkin Park? Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora, and Fort Minor look at and listen to each, everyone is different in it's own way. Now Minutes to Midnight showcases a very different style, but who's to say that the next album won't have them change again. Linkin Park's music is anamorphous it has no defined shape and they shall continue to adapt and change for better or for worse.

And for those who have yet to see the video or hear the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sgycukafqQ

They are Nu metal...reanimation and the mix with Jay z were cuz they had no money. Their Genre was nu metal...and they have gone and changed that.
