Hullo.
This one is for you Steet, because your the Admin.
Why was all my Private Messages deleted ? I know you said somewhere on the site, we should keep the inbox clean, but NOT that clean!
And i would like to get a warning next time before someone just WIPES away my private messages.

Errr...I need to reopen this, because he's right to some point.
I did delete part of the private messages. Well they weren't exactly deleted, but the message was replaced to something saying that "the message was removed because it was too long".
If that's your case, then the reason is that the biggest part in the dabatase is...the private messages. It takes even more space than all the topics posted on the forums...So I tried to make some space by doing this. Although, it should have "deleted" only the messages that were very long. (> 2000 characters) Like fanfics sent by PM, for example. (I can't keep these things in the database, and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience)

I didn´t adress the mods. If you clearly read my first post, i adress Steet.
Who gave a logic explanation.
I know what a moderator can do & not do in a PHP forum.
@Steet:
The messages wasn´t chainletters & fanfics. Mostly short messages from different people around this board.
Could be a glitch in the MySQL DB on the server. One of the tables got corrupted perhaps ?

I don't remember deleting messages, only changing the text to that sentence I said earlier. So I guess this is another problem.
Maybe you accidentally deleted them? Or someone had access to your computer and did it? This could also be a bug, but if it was I think it would have happened to other members as well.
In any case, I don't think I have any way to get them back, very sorry...I have backups but it would be very complex to get only your messages back.

I do know something though : if the sender of the message delete it into his "sent messages" box on the forums, the message will also be deleted for the receipt of the message. This is due to phpBB, not me.

Hehe i didnt delete them by myself. And none has access to my computers at home.
Besides i logout from the site every time. And my password is a combination of letters & numbers.
