I would love to have a dog like Balto. Why? Because ever since I watched it, I wanted a dog like that. He's a hero for little kids of Alaska.

Wolf dogs also have tempers. Really bad ones and tend to get bored very EASILY! Just like border collies.....if you don't have the time don't buy them...you gotta find a dog that fits your lifestyle.

I have one, a Golden named Portia. She's the best dog ever. Aye, I have two Goldens, one of which has a personality like Balto's. Goldens are such loving dogs <333 Rosetta wrote: Wolf dogs also have tempers. Really bad ones and tend to get bored very EASILY! I think the poster means (like Panic_Wolf said) a dog with a Balto-like personality. Balto doesn't seem to be the type of dog to have a really bad temper and get bored easily. So not only a wolfdog, but a laid-back animal as well.
Like I stated above, having a dog like Balto is wonderful. They're great pets, yet happy to work (I'm afraid that's a bit of a lie, as Flora only works if she feels like it xD).

I would... but I have Archie.
He's actually similar to Balto in personality. He's very laid-back and wants to be loved. He hates to displease people and can be very determined. Some of the postures Balto has in the movie are like the postures Archie will hold.

Not really.
He's too laid back for me. I like hyper, crazyactive, sort of dogs.

Any dog is known to bite. Border Collies and German Shepherd Dogs are known to nip, also because their herding dogs.

Not like Archie then. I wish he was more crazy, he always seems very reserved.
