Does anyone like rats?

I know most people think rats are disgusting (NOT TRUE). Well at least most people I know.XD I have a white/orange ratty at home, his name's Luigi. And I must say rats are extremely smart and clean for rodents. My rat acctually acts like a cat.XD So I was wondering...does anyone here have a rat or know somebody who has it? Just curious ;D

I used to breed rats a few years ago. They are cute and very clever. Unfortunately, they have a very short life span; they rarely live past 3 years. I don't have them anymore, mainly because I prefer animals that live a little longer then 3 years. But, yeah, I like rats. My breeders' names were Fievel (my female) and Stuart, (my male). I saved both of them from a terrible fate (snake food.)

Now, I breed poultry. They live longer, are self sufficient and they provide you with eggs, meat, fertilizer and feathers.

They also live for a long time.
Chickens: 15 years.
Ducks: 25 years
Geese: 40 and over (sometimes they live to be over 100 years old!)

I'm not a big fan of rats. They're ok, their better than snakes or spiders. :lol:

I think I'll stick to goats however.

I love rats. A friends of mine used to have them and they were so adorable. Pet rats aren't like their wild ancestors, they are clean and affectionate. They are also smarter than dogs!

Wow, didn't expect this.XD I agree, rats rule. And yes, they can be as smart as dogs or even smarter than some of them. But that's rare.XD

Rats are awesome!! I had 3 rats in the past. The first one knew how to play tag and hide-n-seek lol...he really did know how. But sadly all of my rats died now but the rats living in my backyard.. These little rodents are awesome *when there pets*

A lot of people think that way, mostly because of their hairless tails. I have a schoolmate with rat-o-fobia.XD The only creepy lookin' creatures to me are spiders. And scorpions. And mosqitos. :lol:

Again, Lordlion, that's your opinion. That came off a bit rude to me, since I like rats and think they're cool! The ones I've had the pleasure of meeting certainly weren't "infested" with anything, or infected, infarcted, or anything else (infarcted means that they had dead tissue, usually from a stroke or the like). And meeting them certainly wasn't a "waste of my time". Jeeze, man, take it easy on the poor little rodents.
