It's a sad fact I've learned as well. You can't trust many people with art anymore. Originality is dead really, save for a few. I don't know if you should stop posting art, but maybe start nagging more about theft and copying when you see it. I've thought about leaving a few times, or atleast removing my art, but I haven't followed through yet. I understand where you're coming from, and what's happening. And not to sound mean, but allowing people to make their own WdK's was a bad idea. It was nice of you to want to share your original creations/species, but it was pretty much asking for trouble. people see that 'oh those are sooo popular i'm going to make my own species that looks almost EXACTLY like them with a few different quirks' really it pisses me off. It's not fair to you and the other artists who created those pieces. I say either do a recall of the WdK's or stop letting people make them, maybe stop posting pictures of them here. Other than that I don't know, sorry.

Heh, this is why I revoked my DeviantArt account, so no other person could rip off my art again. I'll tell you this now:

"Art theft is the new fad like crystal meth to eighteen year olds at rave parties: unpredictable, unpreventable, and downright dangerous to step your nose into.

In reality, every artist is a potential victim to these circumstances. Don't get too upset because you cannot really do anything about it. It's not like art thieves will care more or less that you are getting upset (and chances are, they will feed off your anger and continue their epidenture towards running you down to a nervous wreck whilst sitting in their chair laughing at your misfortunes).

Method 1: I say go for it: remove your art. If people cannot respect an artists' property, then what rights do those people say that they have to be capable of seeing it in a gallery? Let the innocent people suffering from this loss become pissed off with the potential art thief and allow them to bide their own doings. After all, it's not your fault you're revoking your work, it's for safekeeping not selfishness.

Method 2: You can go for the alternative: make an original of your image and a distribution copy. Leave the original untouched, but leave a nice long thin black bar through the distribution copy and post that artwork online. Effective against theft of the distribution copy and you can easily deterrent theft by simply reading the publish date of the image compared to that of a fresh piece a thief has just posted online.

Method 3: Get character copyrights to you as an individual. Although a painstaking process, is somewhat effective as now theft can become legal issues. But keep in mind that many still won't heed this warning or think they can steal because these copyright laws do not afflict them in their country of origin.

You have no idea how many people tried sending in characters that looked exactly like yours. Not almost, but exact. I've tried only letting the different-er ones slide only because I have to (people here have different views on what art theft is and no one seems to want to face the facts of what it really is.) As much as I like seeing your art, I hate seeing it stolen. If you remove your art here, theft will still go on (mind you, I'd still bust people for stealing your stuff) but Amaterasu is right. If they can't respect an artist, that's their problem. Whether you remove your gallery or not, as of now, just report the pictures you have a problem with (all of them ) And I'll take care of them. I'm sorry it had to come to this, and I don't want to make excuses for this because there aren't really any, but it's hard to keep track of these things when the majority of the time its only one person updating art.

I really don't want you to leave, because as you know, you are a major inspiration to me. No, I won't hide that fact.

And yestarday I came across someone's art of a black wolf who had patterns JUST like Amaya's. When I find his/her gallery again I will report them for character theft (I don't know why I didn't at first). Maybe I was uncertain on if they did it on purpose or not.

But please don't leave. The 'emo wolf' thing is something I backed up off of, and the only "emo" character I have is Black Blood but she's not like a cutter (no offense intended) she's just like, "I don't want to be this way" Emo. o_o

I know that you and I have had a spat in the past, but you're really cool and have done a lot for the site. It wouldn't be right for them to 'chase you off'.

But overall, it's your decision on whether or not you leave. If you want to, there's nothing we can do to stop you. If not, you'll stay.

It's your life and your choices.

But do know that if you do leave; you'll be greatly missed.

You're not the only one who's going through this, and I am sorry to hear this Liv.
Also I have no any other words what to say. And advices either( I am kinda empty at this moment).
But hope things will get better, and don't leave yourself down.. just because of those brats.. cause there are 10 times more people who likes you and your art, and you can't make them dissappointed because of the quarter.

That is clearly my charater's design. The sockthing, the necklace, the ears and the pattern of the leggings. All that person did was change the color and ripped the design.

This utterly TICKS me off THAT IS MY FLUFF OF HAIR.

Those are all really close (too close for comfort).

Livz---> The one I PMed you about had the SAME marks as Amaya. Only:
the wrist scars were higher up, about midleg and closer together.

It had a scar on the side and front of the neck.

Had 3 scars on the back, 3 on the side of the leg and 3 more on the "knee" (JUST like AMAYA).

Had some under the eye. (two). Had the two bite-marks (?) on the hind leg (Like Amaya).


That one was a DIRECT rip off of Amaya, and you could TELL. What got me; is no one else noticed it (that or didn't say anything?).

We shall gang up on seh peoples and take tem down. >:D

Next time, guys, just report it to one of us fanart mods. I especially will not have a problem removing it
