My Goldfish died yesterday.
I know people say "So what it's just a fish" but the fact is, my fish was special to me. He was about two years old and still had a lot of life in him. He had a personality, I swear.
And I know why he died.
Goldfish in tanks need a pump to oxygenate the water. My pump blew up about two weeks ago. My friend at school said she's bring me her old fish pump. Day after day went by and she still had the same thing to say every morning "Oh, crap, I forgot. I'll bring it tomorrow." And it never came.
Then yesterday I came downstairs to feed my little fish and he never ate the food. He was just floating on his side in the tank. Dead. I cried. I was so sad. I buried him in the garden. R.I.P my little fish.
But this friend... I've given her so many things in the past. I drop everything for her. Just shows she won't do the same for me. And yet, she thinks that she can look after Archie when I go away. I think not.

Thanks, yeah, it is hard to regard this person as a friend now... I haven't actually spoken to her about my fish's death yet as I haven't seen her. All I know is that I won't be confiding in her anymore.

That's sad. Fish or otherwise; it was a beloved pet.
I had a fish named Shelia. She was meant to be food for our Garter snake, Squiggles (who died a few years ago giving birth). I liked Sheila because she was different from all the other goldfish; she had big white patches on her. So, I put her in a small maccaroni pot. She lived there for a full year. Then, we moved. We lived in Reno NV. at the time and we moved to Las Vegas. I was visiting my dad in Louisiana when my mom called up and admitted to accidently leaving my fish in the truck. If you know the hot, sweltering Vegas heat, you can probably guess Shelia's fate. I was absolutely crushed. So, I know what it's like to lose a pet fish, no matter how silly it sounds.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry 'bout your fish. My aunt lost her whole tank of gold fish 3 weeks ago for no reason whatsoever. She just went down stairs and they were all dead. And don't feel bad about crying over it, i cried over my pet toad that died.
Also, your friend doesn't seem like a true friend in this instance...
