How many times have you heard a person say that they're leaving the site forever and never coming back? How often have you heard that person say that they were leaving the next day? How often have you seen that person linger around the site? How many more times have you heard them say they were leaving the site?

I can't STAND these people! These people who say they're gonna leave, BUT NEVER leave! Not the people who actually MEAN it and are just around to patch things up. No, I'm talking about these people who have been saying they're gonna leave FOR WEEKS on end and NEVER leave! What is the deal here, people? Why do you do this? Are you THAT depserate for attention? What happened to just asking people to pay attention to you, huh?

(I just want to let you people know that as soon as you leave, a week later no one's gonna care. Maybe like one person, but they too will get over you. Your constant thirst for attention is what makes people want to forget you. Its sad, but it's true.)

Yeah, they say they're gonna leave and their friends are all like "I'M GONNA MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111" Then all of a sudden its like "Oh! I'm not leaving!" or "I'm leaving tomorrow." then the next day comes "I'm leaving tomorrow."

I'm SICK of you people. Just SICK of you, your attitude, everything. I think it'd be WISE to leave WHEN YOU SAY YOU'RE GONNA LEAVE! When you don't leave, that makes you a liar. And you don't wanna lie to your friends, do you? Oh, but what do you care, right? As long as you get the attention you "so rightfully deserve." I wish you people would just go away because I'm THIS CLOSE to ensuring your departure by banning you -_-

Yes, I have said twice that I was leaving the site. The first time I think it was because I was starting to get bored with the site, and the second is when my gallery was deleted.

I think you were there the last time, that or it was DrewTheWolf. But Iceshadow said I would be letting her down if I left (and I totally felt bad), so I thought it through and I'm back again.

But people who do it continuously and frequently... Well.... I want to slap them. It's like:

Me: "You're not gone yet??"
Person: "What does that mean?1"
Me: "It means what I meant."

It's really like "RAW! Go away already!" when they do things like that and then they get mad "because you want to get rid of them." Boo hoo go home. o_o;

I do agree in a way, it truly IS annoying. (when youve heard it 80 billion times) but they should think it over, as you said, it IS a really annoying, but mabey only MODS can delete the account when they tell the mod there leaving, then when they say 'im leaving this site date and ill NEVER come back~! the mod would 'simply' delete the account and no more problems. but thats only an idea.

There are few kinds of leaving: 1) Saying you're leaving, but never do so, just to get attention, 2) Saying you're leaving for serious, but then it turns out that you may stay (believe me, there are people who don't want to leave, just the situation forces them to) and warning people that you may leave (so people won't be worried what's wrong with you), 3) Saying you're leaving and doing so, and 4) Not saying anything and leaving. Now, the type what you're talking about, the number 1 makes you hate those who leave in a way numbers 2 and 3 describes, because, as you said, you are SICK of hearing stuff like that. And then again, everything goes back to the SELFISHNESS of the people who are thirst of fame. They'd never thought about that they hurt other people (I mean, those who really want to leave and inform their friends), they're too busy with making themselves "famous".

I know I was confused at first, too (I read the topic, first). I thought Cat was leaving for good! XD

And, something should be done. Like "You've done this repetitively, you need to stop." and if they don't, further punishment. >D

I agree. If they do this, I vote that they be banned because its just spam to me.

I can't say I'm not guilty for something like this...and there's a fine line between thinking you can't come here anymore and leaving. Do any of you older members remember when all those really respectable artists supposedly left the site? Quite frankly, I think the only one that stayed true to his word was Ghraeh Lit. If memory serves me corrrectly, there was confusion over people like DrewtheWolf and even you (Catwhohas14tails) wre going to leave as well. I can't recall if you said you were, but regardless of that, you both are still here.

...And then that triggered that little trend, and soon, like, 100 people left after the artists, but about 98% of them, I still see on the shoutboxes today.

Sometimes, people just get too caught up in the moment, and are undergoes very large and unmanagable levels of stress for them. Stating that you're leaving, and coming back a few days later is VERY hypocritical, I do kinda roll my eyes at it. But, you know...once again, people often say things they don't mean -- but then again -- don't we all?
