Quote: *Watch "Dolphin Massacre In Japan" on YouTube.
*The Japanese eat dolphins (endangered species) for sushi & sashimi.
*They bleed dolphins for slow & excruciatingly PAINFUL death (lasting up to 10 min.) because when the body is in pain, it releases adrenaline, which makes the meat more tasty.
*They love to eat raw horse meat, so they do the same thing to millions of horses. (Many of the horses are stolen pets from Europe & US)
Japanese method: more PAIN = more adrenaline = more TASTY
This made my eyes water. Dolphins don't deserve to die like that! The sadest part is that we are monsters! Every second a dolphin is killed! I want to hurt these people!!!

I'm part of WDCS (Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society), and this is nothing new. No animal deserves to die like that.
What makes me angry is that the majority Japan does not even want whale and dolphin meat anymore. Demand has been falling, but the government still want to encourage people to eat it, even putting it in school lunches. Whale and dolphin meat contains high levels of mercury and other pollutants from the water, and can very easily damage your health.
More and more of the unsold meat builds up in warehouses, and more and more dolphins are dying slowly, painfully and needlessly.

That's sick. I don't care if that's their religion or whatever, it's evil. THIS is a perfect example of why I hate most of humanity. They think just because we are at the top of the fricken' food chain that we can do anything we want without regaurd to any other living thing.
And for the horse meat thing.. If they want to eat horse (which I also think is wrong and pure evil) they can eat their own dang horses! Stop trying to get America's! Horses are meant to be in a stable. Not on someone else's table.

Despite the fact that you all seem to believe that this is morally repugnant, what do you suggest these people do for work? This is, obviously, their job. That is what they do for money. What work would you like them to do instead?
Also, I see there are numerous threads indicating the great moral qualm that many seem to have about wolves being made into rugs (even though we don't know how the wolf died) and dolphin fishing, which comes with a graphic video. Interestingly, there doesn't seem to be much moral outrage about exterminators or pesticides killing insects. In fact, I would be willing to bet that not a single person on here would hesitate to pick up the phone book and call pest control if they opened up their corn flakes and a couple of dozen roaches climbed out of the box or if their house was being devoured by termites or carpenter ants. Why is this?
Also, why is it that no one protests wheat or soy harvesting, when millions of animals are killed every year by combines and harvesters. Rabbits, voles, mice, rats, snakes and other animals are mutilated and simply left to rot in the fields where they fall. A doctor named Stephen Davis did a study where he determined that simply mowing an alfalfa field resulted in a 50% reduction in vole populations in the area. Why does no one find this objectionable?

Yes, now I realize it . It's the "Eat or be eaten" rule, dolphins will die anyway, by killing or by natural causes , so it's not such a big deal for them to kill the dolphins, but they just remember not to overkill , if we don't kill animals then the ecosystem will not be the same, also with their jobs. Assuming that you're a butcher, how will you live if you don't kill pigs and cows to sell for money? Yes, it's the same for them too, so don't worry, OK^^? (Even if it may upset you, there is nothing abnormal 'bout it anyway, "Massacre" may be too much for it. Finally, there is nothing disgusting 'bout it, like eating insects for instance )

This is disgusting but you know we do almost the same thing to pigs, chickens, cows, etc too eat them. Sometimes they will chop a pigs head off and let the body run around for awhile. We are cruel, disgusting animals, but we ARE indeed animals. If you look at it that way we are just hunting down our food....but an endangered species is not something to fool about. Japanese eat domestic dogs too.

Oh. My. God. Not this again.
Do we really think that in that fast food restaurant, there is a little slaughterhouse? Tucked into the back, maybe? Pretty clever, really, seeing as we never hear mournful cries leaking through the walls.
Did we never stop and think that KFC possibly orders their meat? Maybe it was already killed?
Now, I don't eat KFC. I have a reason: It tastes like crap. That's just me, though, as I don't particularly like fast food. Though it angers me to hear "OMP KFC is soooo meeen! Hav u seen wat dey do 2 dere chooks?!". I'm guessing it was frikkin' PETA again. They've "cleverly" put together a video and made out that KFC slaughters their animals in very inhumane ways. PETA sucks. Don't even listen to them - they're saying that keeping a dog and giving it obedience training is cruel. Hmm? Like them as much now?
I've talked to somebody who worked at KFC for a while, and confirmed that the meat was ordered. There you have it.
As for the dolphn "massacre", I don't know what I should say. I would certainly not like to die a slow, painful death, nor would I like that to happen to any living creature - spider, human, dog, dolphin, anything. No further opinions. I simply agree with HrryNrm.
I get the feeling I'll be tied to a post and beaten with a stick for saying this. Whatever.
Thanks much.
