I think some rumours out there are ruining the movie. I'm talking about false things like "Nala is Scar's daughter and Simba's cousin" and much more I've seen around (I don't remember them right now, but I'm sure there's more)- I mean it's a kids movie. If we stopped looking at it and expecting more realism on it, we'd enjoy it a lot more! Then, what's your opinion: Do you think this rumours are ruining the movie?

Yes, I do. You shouldn't try to make logical sense of the film by saying that Nala is Scar's daughter etc. I mean, you can write fan-fictions about it but just remember that Nala is there for the sake of being there. She doesn't need a 100% accurate description.

Personally, i dont think so because it's just questions that people have that they need help answering! That has nothing to do with ruining the movies. Now what would ruin the triliogy is the Lion King 1 & 1/2. (Once again, my opinion! )

I say no. It's all how people interpret it. I really don't think that having rumors about things in Lion King is ruining it. It gives adults and teens more to look at then just the simplisity that children see in it.

It is, but they shouldn't say anything that comes to their minds, it ruins the movie and adds a lot of false, stupid topics to it. And we're not talking about rights, we're talking about what rumours do to the movie

The only thing those rumours do, is making people insult lion king. I've seen lots of people insulting the movie because they've heard Simba is Nala's cousin or other stupid things other people create just to have something to talk about- And it's a KIDS movie, so teens and adults should look at it the same way a child does, not analizing every detail they find. It's all right if they make questions to themselves, but putting those false rumours up and starting discussions it's NOT right

I don't think so, because these are only opinions, and people know better than to believe opinions

Personally, no, I don't think they do, mainly as they are just thoughts fans have had and if some people don't like them they don't have to listen to 'em. I ain't being rude, it's just my way of thinking.

Yeah, exactly. It's just the way that you interpret what the people are saying. Different people have different ways of saying things so that may just be what people think.

I think no. These "rumours" are more like theories, which is pretty much a person's beliefs. They can believe or not believe a theory if they want to, it's a matter of personal preference.
Technicly, these theories that Scar is Nala's dad cannot be proven to be the truth or not. (I guess however maybe Disney could do something). It's the same as Balto's dad, it hasn't been proven in the movies, so it's up in the air.
But the topic of Nala's dad is a good fanfic idea (same with the idea of Balto's dad).

Disney wouldn't make Nala Simba's cousing...It's stupid to analize a movie like if it was a real lions documentary.
