I know some of you must be thinking that I'm too new to this site to be ranting, but believe me, this is something that I think has bothered many people on this website.

*Rant Begins*

I've been scanning through some of the topics in the 'Balto' boards and saw some topics such as 'Which character would you marry?' and 'Jenna's Bark'.

I guess it's more about me complaining about these types of boards. They are just stupid and serve no purpose whatsoever. Yes, it's not like the people who created these threads are breaking any rules, but if I had to choose, it would be considered spamming.

Does any moderator feel like they should have the right to lock topics such as these? (No, this is not meant to be an attack on mods, I'm just merely asking a question.) I know that if I were in a forum moderator's psotion, that I would feel obligated to lock and/or delte somethign as immature and stupid as this. ('this' meaning some of the tpics I mentioned earlier.)

First of all, you need to learn how to watch what yer saying. XD Lotsa mistakes.

And second, They are called 'topics'... Not 'boards'. >3... And next, its not 'Immature'. I think its kinda Immature to be ranting about it. There really isn't a point. Do you actually go and READ these 'topics'? The mods do. If they think it needs to be locked, THEY WILL LOCK IT. Obviously, they aren't as bad as you think.

And you also must remember this is a KIDS site. A lot of younger kids get on here. Youngest I have seen is Nine years. So what do you expect? They are only in like what... third grade by then? You can't expect much. XD

Okay, I might have been a little harsh. And on some forums, people call 'topics' 'boards' and vice versa. I realize that some of the members on this site aren't very old, but normally you can tell how mature a person is by the way they talk and sometimes, by the way they type. I thought very carefully about posting this, so I obviously don't think that this rant is 'immature' in itself, but that's your opinion MayaHuskee. And yes, I did read the threads before I posted this.

Hey, anyone can rant. XP It doesn't matter if you're new. But I think it would have been better if you looked around a little more. Like Maya said, if they really were that immature, then they would have been locked by a moderator. Although, I do understand what you mean; some topics are pointless or just branch off of another previous topic. If you think you see a topic that needs to be locked, report it to a forums moderator. (their usernames are found at the upper left part of the forum index)

And no one needs to be mature to post...........

As to marrying a character, what of it? If you think it's retarded, then don't post on it. Maybe the person who started the thread is a furry and is into that type of thing, Or maybe they're some little kid who just airing a casual idea. Or maybe they're just posting to a Balto board about a Balto related topic, for crying out loud. Who cares? Who wants to be Joesph Goebbels and decide what is mature and interesting and what isn't? What would you have the mods do, lock every topic that doesn't meet a 10th grade reading level or have some intrinsic, deep thought behind it or that you personally don't have an interest in? Sheesh.

somehow, I can see this topic going downhill, real fast.


as for my two cents, if something's retarded, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Just because someone says it's stupid, doesn't mean the collective forum community necessarily agrees.


However, I am annoyed by pointless things, no matter what they are. If you are thinking of posting something you know won't attract attention, then don't.
