Okay, I asked a question about this a week or two ago, and here it is showing up again. I'm not trying to hold anything against the artist, I'm just curious about something.

Personal characters as humans, right? Well, I'm just curious about some things.
My personal characters drawn as humans won't be accepted here, along with others' I'm sure. But, why is it that others' personal characters as humans are being accepted?
I know, just know, that the same situation has happened to others, and Steet himself has said that if it's not a Balto character as a human it shouldn't be accepted (that's how I understood it in the question).
Link to the Question: http://baltosource.timduru.org/balto-act-questions-numg-1004.html
This isn't an angry rant, this is like an "Uhhhmmm..........." rant. So, please don't think I'm trying to put anyone down here, I'm just kind of feeling curious as to why the rules are being "bent" for other people.

I don't know who allowed that picture, no idea who did. But this is a Balto fan site, which means wolves, dogs etc. are allowed. Humans are not a huge part of this film, which is why we don't allow them on art. If you want to submit non-fan art etc. go to http://www.deviantart.com

I have a DA, I'm just [severely] inactive on it. XD I'm more active on SheezyArt (it's my art-storage unit until I get it onto Balto Source).

It shouldn't have been accepted. (read the fanart rules) The site is not for everything, if you want to add more picture just add a link to an external gallery...

Wait a minute . . . I thought that the fanart rule said that there has to be at least one Balto character in a fanart in order to be accepted!
You are wrong about one thing, Drew: Humans that were in the Balto films (like Rosy and her parents, Duke, and perhaps the sled mushers and whatnot) should be fine, because they actually were in the film, just like Balto and Jenna were. However, if the human(s) are fan-made and whatnot, they shouldn't be allowed (unless Balto or some other official Balto character in included with them in the work).
That makes sense, right?
IMO, I believe that official Balto characters as humans should be okay, as long as a shot of their real form in included in the picture. I've done it before once. However, that piece of art should be taken off, because it clearly violates the recent rules (well, the ones that I last read, anyway).
But of course, Steet gets the final word on this, so I'll leave it to him.

Yes, there are humans in the Balto movies. I have seen pictures of Rosie (a lot of them) or some other Balto-based Human. BUT; they were with the pup(s) they adopted. So therefore, it has more to do with canines rather than just the human being in the picture.

No, Juucahan. Thats is exactly what I ment.
No Fan-made characters, balto-human characters are allowed.

But the topic is about Balto non-human characters as humans (a la "Wolf's Rain"-style). What about them?
And actually, the way that you answered sounded like we couldn't have humans in fanart, so your response wasn't not exactly true. (I'm not trying to be difficult or anything . . . just trying to prove that you're not perfect either. XD . . . seriously.) I really don't want to quote the statement again . . .

Most of the off-topic pictures were there before this rule was made. If its such a huge problem, report it

Yea, the rule is pretty new and yes, those pictures were in the gallery before the rule was made.
I have a couple of human pictures that are there from before the rule (I don't know if they show up or not...).
Quote: I don't think there should be such thing as wolf chararcters as humans. The site is based on wolves and dogs only. (aCtually anything dog related)
Well, in case you haven't noticed, this is becoming a "trend." It's called "shape shifters" (many of my characters are, but I keep their canine forms here). And no (not trying to sound offensive) but this is not an "I don't think..." topic. It's simply to try and resolve my confusion with the issue(s) about humans in wolf galleries.
This topic is strict because I was confused about the rule and how human art was still being accepted. So, please, I know where you came from, but don't bash people's preferences about character breeds (I, personally, felt bashed by that comment). If you ask me, YES, the site should be canine-only. BUT: With this statement- " I don't think there should be such thing as wolf chararcters as humans." you basically just said "I prefer just plain characters."
Now I'll shut up before someone gets offended or I take this topic too far (apologies if I already have).

The rules are precise : only Balto-characters humans are allowed. (Rosy for example) No other humans.
