I was randomly looking around on google and came across a site.
Yes once you look at the site you will see the reason for the title of this topic.
Link here: http://www.sorryagain.com/
Yes it is about the way dogs are misunderstood by nature but really do those dogs deserve SB861 just because of some humans and the force on the dogs to be what they are? I truely think that is it unfair and more should be done about it, not on the dogs but the owner.

Please take time to look at this site and reply with your opinion to it.

---------
(Update from another post)

All the site is, It is sort of a petition against SB 861 in Oklahoma, but instead of signatures, people have posted pictures of their animals in an effort to fight this unfair and discriminative legislation.

Punish the deed, not the breed, as they say. People use and abuse these dogs by teaching them to be aggressive, and something goes wrong, and someone gets attacked. These dogs are not born aggressive, they are taught to be aggressive. It is so unfair to ban the entire breed for a few cruel people's actions against these dogs. Please stand up and speak out against BSL and SB 861!!!! That is all i can say.

Well, the people who own those dogs' don't like to take responsibility, and when they finally do admit to training the dogs to kill, they've already been forced to be put down.

It's really sad, and I was looking at another site about Pit Bull fighting too, I'll post it here once I find it..

Yes it is but it's not only Pit Bull, it's also Rottwilers, german shepherds and dobermans. And i would do anything to defend my rottwiler from B.S.L/ SB861

and who was the one who put yes :? must of been a mistake...

Yeah I know, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Pit Bulls are supposedly the strongest dogs, German Shepherds have 1200lbs of biting power per cubic centimeter, Rottweilers have 1500-1800 and Pit Bulls have 2500. All of those breeds (including dobermans) can do much more damage then any other breed of dog can. But they need alot of training..

I saw the movie titled "Off the Chain." It's about dog fighting, and if you want me to tell you about it then you can PM me, but I can't post it here because it's a bit harsh..

I voted no.

All I can say is my Dad bred English Bull Terriers for about 8 years.

We have never had an incident when our dogs turned vicious.

We had a few people say our dogs had bitten them/their pets/their children.

The first incident was a female child of about 12 who repeated kicked our 1 1/2 year old Bull Terrier in the face until she turned and bit them. After that she was vicious around young children and we had to have her destroyed. That abuse cause lasting scars and it is not the dogs fault. She was my dog as well - and I was heartbroken to lose her.

The second was a man who was delivering oil to our house when our most recent bully wandered out. He kicked her so she ripped his trousers off.

Luckily both the above incidents were witnessed by people. The twelve year old child went to my school at the time (I was a year above) and I won't go into the details but she spent a day in hostpital and needed stitches because I wanted her to know what my dog had gone through.

Bull terriers are known as a fighting breed but unless there are exceptional circumstances none of ours ever had a problem in 8 years.

Most aren't born vicious they are made vicious. But if they are a danger to people then they should be destroyed - but it's a shame the innocent have to suffer.

I've said before and I'll say again:-

ANY DOG CAN BE AGGRESSIVE.

It is all down to the owner. It's PURELY the owner's responsibilty to train and socialize their dog so he/she is not disobediant or bad-tempered. When you here about Pit Bulls or Staffys on the news mauling little kids and the like, they never tell you what training the dog has had. Whether it has been used for fighting or whether the owner has bothered to train it. The dog is just instantly stereo-typed as a mean killer.

Pit Bulls and Staffys are more likely to attack IF untrained. It's in their blood to fight so they must be trained and socialized early, they will then probably never even snarl at another dog. However, if their fighting instincts are encouraged then obviously, they'll turn aggressive.

My neighbour's lab was viciously attacked by the DALMATIAN over the road. My aunt's old Pit Bull cross NEVER attacked another dog.

Yes that is what this whole thing is about and that problem has lead to this, that dogs are getting banned in different countries because if the owners. What i am try to show and get through this is people who are trying to fight against BSL/ SB 861 and saying no to ban them breed of dogs. I am clearly just showing what can be done to help.

Well if I were a fighting dog, I would attack people/things also. They don't get treated good AT ALL.

I'll post what I saw on the movie anyway, but if you guys are sensitive about this stuff, then I suggest not reading this.

1. First, they train the dogs to fight, they use treadmills and make the dog run on them all day, they also make them swim in a pool with no way to get out and attach 200 pound chains to their collars & make them drag them around all day. They starve the dogs for a week or so and then throw two dogs a peice of meat so they'll have to fight eachother for it.

2. Sometimes, they crop the dogs' ears by themselves using office scissors.

3. They breed dogs until they die (They're supposed to retire at about 5) & they must be muzzled to mate so they don't kill eachother.

4. If the dog loses a fight, the owners beat them, stab them, starve them, there has even been some incidents where the owners threw the dogs off a cliff. The dogs are lucky if they die during the fight.

5. When the dogs aren't fighting, they are chained up with not enough room to even stand up.

6. When the dogs die they give them to the other dogs to eat.

7. They give the dogs steroids to make them 'stronger.'

8. Some people cut their dogs' tails off so they don't get hurt in the fight.

9. Police once found 75 Pit Bulls in an old mans house, he bred them, trained them to fight and sold them. 75!

..and there's quite a bit more.. it's really harsh, really. I don't blame the dogs for attacking.

The truth about Pit Bulls: (The third picture of the brown dog was 10 years old, pregnant, had a tumor on her leg and a brain tumor, her head was tilted permantly to the side.)

Amen.

It's not fair, not fair at all. Laradors, Golden Retrievers and Pomeranians (All said to be 'family' dogs) are actually some of the top contributors to dog attacks withing families each and every year. Heck, Labrador Retrievers have a higher bite rate than Pit Bulls, and those other breeds.

And, Labradors and such are a very popular breed, and then we have all of the puppy mills around. Most are in pet stores, backyard breeders, puppy mills.. And, dog ends up wrong.

But yes, it's most of the time, the owner. Not the dog.

That video was so sad... :(

But I bet that most of the Pits put to sleep purely for being Pit Bulls haven't even seen a fighting ring.

Now.. I know, not many here are pit bull haters, but I just thought I'd show that. And, for people that are pit bull haters, I would like to say I pity you. You are saying all pit bulls are bad, just because a few attacked? Doesn't mean their all bad. Think how many humans killed. More than pit bulls.. So, you must be bad too, if you believe all pit bulls are bad just because a few killed..

Here in Winnipeg, where they ARE banned, there has been 3 attacks by Pit Bulls and 76 attacks by German Shepherds JUST in the year before they were banned.

I've been attacked by 3 German Shepherds in my life time, and my sister by one.

German Shepherds recieve the same bad reputation as Pits sometimes.

They're not all bad either. But they need strong handlers.

Yeah, BUT here, where Pit Bulls are banned, German Shepherds aren't. and that's NOT fair at all.

40 years ago, Dobermans were banned here. 30 years ago, Rottweilers were banned here.. 20 years ago, Pit Bulls were (and still are) banned here.

They just can't keep the story straight, they shouldn't ban the dogs but the fighting pits that people put the dogs through.

They really need to learn how to 'Punish the deed and not the Breed'

Yes they do need to learn to push the deed and not the breed but this is one problem that will take alot of time to get through to them it may not even happen and all those breeds of dog and more will be banned in other parts of the world and there is very little we can do to stop that.
