Now this is my first rant. So go easy on me.

Now, this rant I'm going to talk about is mainly about insalting comments, that has happened to me recently. What I'm talking about is that SOME people are insalting other members on the shoutbox.

And I'll just put up a bit of things that happened when I got insalted by the person.

He constently did not intend on stoping to insalt me and my friend. He kept on calling me gay/homosexual. Which really did get on my nurves, and I stood up for myself (and the friend that was getting harrased aswell) and replied and tryed to reason with him, but I should've just ingnored him.

I have reported him and so has one of my friends. So hopefully this person has got banned. Because he could do this again to anyone.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else or not. But its horrible when it does.

This topic may get locked. But please, this could happen to someone else too. So I just want to warn people.

-Silent

Well, you shouldn't have pin pointed that the person was emo...I mean other members who aren't emo insult others. So next time in another rant try not to select a specific kind of person because some may find it offending.

Anyway, I understand that somone who insults you is annoying but, there will always be name callers and trouble makers. So the best thing to do is to ignore them and report them. If you react to their teasing and misbehaviour it will only get worse, they you to react and get angry.

I must agree with Emily; just because someone is presenting the traits associated with emos, doesn't mean you can label them as one.

But don't worry, I agree with you to Silent. That creep shouldn't have done that. It was unprovoked and you don't deserve such treatment; no one does.

Thanks for th warning, but if someone doesn that, just log out of the shoutbox. It's not like you live with this person, so if you log off, you won't be bothered by them anymore.

I believe its 'insulted' or 'insaulted', for one.

And people are GOING to do this. And its not right to stereotype people by what they are. Not ALL emo's insult people.. Its a general statement - PEOPLE insult THINGS. It Happens. The best we can do is avoid it.

I really don't know why you added the word emo. I Know you used the term "SOME" but still, this could be insulting to some...

You sort of refer to the emo as hostile.

"we were insalted by the emo"

I dunno...Just sounds weird...and this isn't a rant with a meaningful topic-insults are bound to happen anywhere. Do you have suggestions on how to stop this? Ban emos????

Topic Locked.

No, not really, I'm not a mod...Do I sound like one? Because I'm not...IM NOt.... okay...Ima go get a haircut...

Yes, I should not of used the word emo in the post. And I understand that It would hurt other emo's so I might aswell just delete the topic or just change it.

Well, if you want my opinion, I see no need to change your words. Since this is a rant topic and you were "ranting" (keyword=rant) about your sudden "unpleasant" experience in the shoutbox and it's your opinion, why would you change your own rant due to the fact that someone thinks that you are blaming some anonymous "emo" for making fun of you?

Heck, as long as you don't mention a specific name, I think you're fine. Besides, the person may have only seemed to be "emo", but he/she may not really be one. Heck, I haven't a clue on what an "emo" is anyway, so I could care less.

And besides, what other words could have come to mind instead of that one, right? I think you shouldn't be flamed for calling this unknown peon an "emo", whoever this person may be. It's like a couple of other members said: No matter what you do nowadays, there's always gonna be some idiot that's going to put you down by insulting you without even getting the chance to learn more about you. That's life, it sucks sometimes - Deal with it.

And IMO, the shoutbox always seems to attract these types of people. Why is that? (that's a reason why I like the forums better than the shoutbox. Sure, there's some intelligent people on there, but the growing number of random "emo-traited-wannabes" and "newbies" (no offense if you happen to be one of these, BTW) that are on there is ridiculous. Meh.)

Ahh, ranting is fun, don't ya think so?

Yeah, some people will say things like "shut up" or something not as serious, but if it continues for a long time then yes, the mods will get involved. If you know of anyone like this, PM a mod and they'll take care of it. Simple as that.

I think I should know how you feel like. A few months ago, I came home from my grandparents' house. I got 3 private messages (2 from Dragonwings and the other on was from Thorn) , so of course I read them. One of the messages said "YOU SUCK!" and the other one from Dragonwings said "Killing Wolves Is Just Plain Stupid!"

Now, I will admit that I do want to hunt Wolves (again it is MY choice that is MINE!) and I felt VERY OFFENDED with those messages. Don't worry, Thorn was nice about it.

So, here is my message to everyone else:

If I EVER get messages like that, I will notify Steet and the mods!

please dont write in those giant bold colors, its very didtracting and yes i have seen many man y insulting comments from a few classice troublemakers here.
