This is based on the character seen above in the movie Balto 2 Wolf Quest

Blaez was the Beta Male of a pack which was once one of the most powerful packs in the entire area but one day it all changed.
His pack crossed the great water to a new land and everyone expected something better, plentiful food, a land that was safe and warm were the new Alpha Female Aleu could raise pups and they’d all be happy, but that dream didn’t last long at all.
Being a close friend of Aleu she had confessed to Blaez one day that perhaps leaving the land they had come from was a bad idea, the pack was slowly starting to disappear through the harsh weather and lack of food.
The next year when the water froze over Blaez and a few other wolves agreed to go back to the land they had once come from to see whether or not they were able to return. All the wolves knew that they would be gone for a year but the fate of the pack rested in their paws.
It was a stormy night when Blaez and the other wolves walked towards the beach where they could all see an ice break forming to the other side where they had come from.
Turning to Aleu Blaez made her a single promise that in one year they would return with news that would save the pack, and as they climbed on the glacier that slowly started to float away from the dying pack no one knew what Blaez and the others were about to face and how much the land they had come from had changed.

Not only has their land changed, but another pack grown strong from the weaker packs was waiting for them on the other side as well a new dangers that Blaez must either avoid or deal with for entire year before returning to his pack. Although Blaez has other reasons for returning to the land he once left but he has yet to tell anyone of his secret agenda…

This is Blaez the Beta Male returning to a land to find something he’d lost as well as to try and the save his pack from extinction...

UPDATE: Since my story is going to be set over a year I've decided to split my story in to four parts, each part covering one season that Blaez spends back on his old land. The first Book 1: Autumn (This is when they first arrive at the lands before it turns in to winter) should be out in the next few days, the links will be posted here.

I'm really impressed by the video! I love the idea of using the unnamed wolf from the movie and making him a main character, and it's cool how you arranged the footage so it makes him look like a leader. It's a very unique idea. The fanfic sounds interesting, too. Keep up the good work!

Wow, that's a cool idea to incorperate a very minor character seen only in the background and give him a back story and a role to play. Quite interesting!

I haven't seen the video yet, but I plan on it!

(Actually, I've used that exact same character in one of my Aleu stories . . . not the same name (thank goodness), but his story is a bit different. I guess great writers think alike sometimes, eh?)

Oh I haven't seen your story of Aleu with that character in it, I hope i'm not copying any of your ideas!

I've started to write it today and with the holidays coming up I should have it finished in no time

I hope not either! Actually, my version of that character (whom I've named Scarlet) is in one of my recent fics, "Here I Am" (here's the link to the beginning of the fic - Here I Am); he's actually a son of Nava with strong leadership qualities to hide his true self . . . plus he has a slight crush on Aleu (but in another of my Aleu fics . . . well, you'll just have to wait to see if they hook up in the end! )!
