Role playing is when you and a friend (1 or more) are using characters in a imaginary world. (Such as wolf rp) And the characters may interact and talk ect... I was kinda confused at first too.

That's post-by-post roleplaying. There's another kind of Roleplaying too. You may have heard of World of Warcraft. That's a roleplay game. A MMORPG. Massivly Multiplayer Online Role Play Game. Any game which you can wander around freely without having to go directly to the next part of the game and build up experiance and gain levels can be considered a Roleplay game.
