Who here does photography? That's one of my main hobbies, and I'm not the best, but I'm pretty good. I'm making this topic cause I got a new camera, so now I have a Canon PowerShot A520 and a COOLPIX 5700 by Nikon that my Dad gave me. I can't wait to use it. Lol

Feel free to discuss your equipment and photographs you've taken. Lol

Wow your pics are amazing. I did take a photography class I liked it.. but I didn't have time to do it a lot. I wish I would have take more advantage of that class.

I've actually never taken a photography class. I took an electronic arts class though, but that has nothing to do with cameras. I mostly did it through expirience. And the ONE Thing I will reccomend you get immediatly is a tri-pod. All those pictures were taken using a tri-pod and a 1 second delay, so that the camera would stablize. The part I find hardest is setting all the exposure, shutter speeds and filters, etc. But yeah, go get a good camera and a tri-pod, a large memory card (if using digital like I do) and a crap load of batteries and have a ball! Hehe

Ouch, that sucks. I'd reccomend a Canon PowerShot, they're cheap, easy to find, there's a fairly large aftermarket for it, and most of all, simple to use. Lol

I do!

I use a (and all I have available) Canon PowerShot A80 4.0 Mega pixel camera and a tripod.

I've got my gallery on DA.

As you can see, I'm a novice.
I have plans to take the camera into the Arizonian desert with me this weekend to try my hand a landscapes.

You're actually pretty good, Rusty. Plus you've got a nice set up going there *thumbs up to ya* Keep clickin' along. I can see that you're an animal photography. I'm a vehicle and nature photographer (as you can see by my examples.) I don't have alot of my pictures up in public, but someday I might build a site for them.

I like to get into photography in my spare time. I have 2 different cameras I use:

Canon REBEL
10.2MP
3280 x 2600 resolution
28-105, 75-300, 200-800, and 50-125 Wide-Angle Lenses
Monopod (for the 200-800 lens)

Sony Cybershot
5.1MP
2448 x 2088 resolution
Fixed 35-100 lens (variable f-stop)
Tripod

I take a variety of pictures, from automobiles to nature to vacations, whatever. Just recently I came back from the AUTORAMA in Cobo Hall, Detroit, Michigan. Maybe I'll upload some of those pictures later via the REBEL.

Nice stuff. If I had the money, I'd go get equipment like that. I've tried pawn shops, but all they have is pretty bad equipment. By Dad gave me the Nikon though, cause he got a new Sony camera.

YES!!!! Finally... another photographer on BaltoSource! Wow... for a while I thought Rusty and I were the only photographers here, but... that's cool, Alpine!

Well, here's my gallery: http://www.wolf-blades6.deviantart.com

Well, I go the old school way, with film. (both black and white and color). My camera is really old school... Canon FTb, vintage 1975. Completely manual SLR, since it came out before anything was fully automatic (except maybe guns, that is, but let's not get off topic) I take photography class in my school, so everyone's SLR camera has to be film and has to have complete manual access. Anyway, the black and white pictures I've taken were taken on black and white film, hand developed, and the prints were hand developed as well. (and I greyscaled absoultely nothing in my gallery)

I've also got a tripod, a zoom lens, and a wide angle lens (for landscapes mainly) that are interchangeable, and a couple close-up lenses, plus a bunch of colored filters for the camera for when I'm using black and white film, which I have yet to use...

I'm also heading to New Mexico for spring break, so I'll be taking some pictures there as well.

Man, I just do everything, don't I? Airsoft, photography, road racing, target shooting, four wheeling and gaming. Lol

Anyways, that's a pretty sweet camera for an old one. You take some good pictures. I probably should've taken a photography class in high school, but this hobby didn't catch my interest until it was too late. Lol.

I've got to tri-pods, the table top one, and a full size one. I plan on getting a wide angle adaptor for my Canon, but I might try to find stuff for my Nikon, although I don't think the aftermarket is a very big one. Oh yeah, I also have the large, aux. flash attachment as well, and a 1gb in the Nikon, and a 2gb in the Canon. Lol

Scarface- I look foward to seeing your pictures. Lol
