Hey, this is my second fic, my first one didn't go too well, so I kinda decided to make a new one here it is, enjoy

Chapter One: Cruel Winter Part 1

Euan's mother, Tirion nuzzled him as he cuddled next to her on that cold winter night. They were in a cave after she and the pack tried to hunt for food since they haven't eaten anything since Euan was two weeks old. Everyone in the cave tried to keep warm and tried to ignore their hunger. Each day, Aleu the pack leader watched sadly as her pack grew weaker by the hour from starvation.
"Mother," said Euan, "Are we ever going to find food?"
"I don't know, Euan." said Tirion as she fell asleep.

The next day was better, it was a bit warmer out, and there wasn't that much snow. Aleu, Euan, Tirion, and the rest of the pack left the cave and spent most of the day finding food until at sun down they found a herd of carribou trying to find food. Aleu signaled the herd to spread out and to get ready for an ambush. Tirion hid Euan in a bush to keep him safe, he was the only pup in the pack because there weren't that many female wolves in the pack because of hunters and other predators like bears killed off most of the wolves in the pack. Euan watched as his mother tried to take down a carribou herself. She snarled, bit, pounced, and barked until she actually took it down she howled to the pack that the hunt was a success. Euan ran out of the bushes towards his mother and the dead carribou. The pack waited as Aleu took her turn eating the carribou first, then it was the adults turn and since Euan was the only pup in the pack he ate his bit, it wasn't much, but he was happy to eat something after so long. The pack left the area and went back to their cave. Tirion and Euan stayed in the far side of the cave to keep warm when they sleep. Euan relaxed and closed his eyes as Tirion sang him a lullaby to help him sleep.

Cruel Winter Part 2

Tirion and Euan played together in the snow the next day, it's been a while since they had fun because of their starvation and the snow storms. But while they played, they were unaware that they were watched by two other wolves. They were exiled some time ago, and they were plotting revenge. The wolves were Niju and Diego, and they were exiled for plotting against Aleu, but Jade, a friend of Tirion, overheard their plans and had Aleu exile them, and they've been planning their revenge ever since.
"Will you look at the cute little pup, Surda?" said Niju with a growl, "Isn't it nice that he'll be joining us for breakfast?"
Surda kept looking at Tirion and Euan and sighed, "It wouldn't be breakfast without him."
"Especially after his pack leader exiled us and killed half our prey. An eye for an eye, don't you think?" he snarled at the memory of being exiled.
"We'll teach that half-breed what happens when she messes with pure wolves."
"Alert the wolves. We attack at dawn." Surda was walking away until Niju added, "And Surda? Bring me the pup, alive. If I'm going to enjoy my revenge, I want it to be fresh."

When dawn came Tirion and Euan slept in their usual spot in the cave until Euan knew that something was wrong. He nudged his mother and said, "Mother, something bad is happening." Tirion yawned and said, "Euan, I'm sure you're just imagining things."
"But mother..." started Euan but he was interupted by many wolves snarling. Euan and Tirion looked at the mouth of the cave and saw the exiled wolves coming in snarling. The rest of Aleu's pack woke with a start and snarled back at the exiled wolves.
"Hello, half-breed." Niju said glaring at Aleu.
Aleu snarled and said, "Niju, what are you and you're pack doing here? I exiled you and told you to never return."
"We just have some unfinished business." Niju said with a smile. He turned to his pack and said, "Attack."
The exiled wolves snarled again and ran towards the the pack. Aleu looked at her pack and said, "While we fight we can escape!" Her pack growled and began to fight Niju's exiled pack. Tirion picked up Euan by the scruff of his neck and ran past the fighting pack to get Euan to safety. Tirion hid Euan in a bush and said, "Stay here, and don't come out until I tell you it's safe." Euan nodded, too scared to speak and watched his mother run back into the cave to help the pack. Euan looked around, hoping that an exiled wolf wasn't anywhere near him until he heard a twig snap and something suddenly grabbing him by the scruff of his neck and running away with him. Euan was even more frightened, he franticly called for his mother knowing that she was still in the cave fighting. He was carried far from the cave until the dog carrying him dropped him in the snow. Euan looked but didn't see the wolf that took him, but Niju. Niju smiled and said, "Say hello to your father for me." and he pounced on Euan, holding him down. Euan couldn't get out of Niju's grip. Niju was about to bite Euan when another wolf bit his leg, Niju got off of Euan and started to fight the wolf that bit him, it was Tirion. Tirion put up a good fight, she didn't show weakness or fear and used her full strength against Niju. Euan looked around and saw that the wolf that had taken Euan must've ran away, he looked back at the fight and saw that Tirion had her jaws clamped around Niju's muzzle. With one swipe of his paw, Tirion let go of Niju and shook her head to get rid of the pain from her face. He turned to Euan and was about to pounce when Tirion jumped at Niju. While he layed on the ground, Tirion grabbed Euan and ran as far away from the cave as possible. Tirion stopped by the river and gently set Euan down so she could drink from the river. Euan looked at his mother and asked, "Are allright, mother?"
Tirion gulped down the water and said, "I'm feeling fine, but now we must leave the forest, and get to a human town."
Euan has heard of a human town and saw the outside of it but his mother has never let him go inside it, "Why do we need to get to the human town?"
"I know someone there who can help us." said Tirion.
"But what about Aleu's pack?"
When I left, we retreated to our hiding spot that neither Niju or any other wolf inside his pack know the location of. We'll meet them again soon enough."

Cruel Winter Part 3

Tirion walked through the woods that night, with Euan at her heels.
"Mother, why are we only traveling at night?" asked Euan.
"It's a lot safer getting to the town than it is in broad daylight when there's dangerous animals on the loose now." answered Tirion, "but don't worry, at the next cave we past, we'll stop and rest."
"Will we be able to travel in the day again?"
"Yes, once we get to safety and once we are in contact with our fellow wolves."
"Why can't we go to their hiding spot?"
"It's best that we get to the town because we've already gone this far." Tirion stopped and looked around and saw a nearby cave. "We'll rest here for the night." She led Euan to the cave and layed down. Euan yawned and closed his eyes, exhausted from the day he and his mother had.

Soon Euan opened his eyes from a good sleep and looked around, the sun was setting so Euan knew that it was time for him and his mother to get up and start walking again. Euan looked around at his mother only to find that she was gone. Euan quickley got up and looked around franticly for Tirion, he ran to the mouth of the cave to see if she was there and to his relief she was.
"I'm sorry if I scared you." said Tirion, "I got up a little while ago and I saw this beautiful sunset and i didn't want to miss it. Would you like to watch it with me, Euan?"
"Sure, mother." Euan said, sighing in relief that his mother was still there. He sat next to for the remainder of the sunset, when the sun was completly down, Tirion and Euan started to walk again. They walked for hours until they were at the end of the forest, "We're almost there." Tirion said to Euan.
"What's a town like?" asked Euan.
"Well, a town is kind of like the forest only they have dogs, unusual homes, and humans."
"Will the town be like home?"
"Well, you can't hunt for live things and we'll have to live under the unusual homes. And speaking of the town, I think I can see it." Euan looked at where his mother was facing and saw the town his mother showed him when he was younger.
"If we run, we'll be able to have an early rest."
"Okay, race you there!" Euan said as he and Tirion started to run to the town. When they got there, they saw that the streets were deserted because it was late. Tirion led Euan to a nearby house and crawled under it, there was enough room for both of them and it was perfect for them to stay in until it was time for them to get back to the forest.

Sorry that this post was short, but I'm kinda busy at the moment, sorry

Chapter 2: New Home, New Friends, New Enemies Part 1

Euan woke up to a sound of barking and got up. He looked around and saw his mother crouched near the entrance to the outside. Euan walked over to her looked out, it was a beautiful sunny day with dogs running and playing and strange beings(Euan guessed were humans) playing with the dogs and talking. He looked at Tirion and asked, "Is it alright if I played outside, mother?"
"I'm not sure if that's a good idea, Euan." answered Tirion, "There are many dangers out there, even if you can't see them."
"I won't get into a ny trouble," said Euan, "Please mother?" he put on his cute face that his mother never resisted. Tirion chuckled and said, "Oh, can those eyes get any bigger? Allright, you can go, but try to stay out of mischeif." Euan nodded happily and ran outside; he could see a lot of strange things that he's never seen before; there were strange building with big words on them(Euan couldn't understand them, of course), many people with dogs, and he even saw something bigger than a bird fly in the sky. He looked around and saw some dogs his age playing together, he ran over to them and asked, "Is it allright if I played with you?" One of the puppies looked at him and said, "Sure, ever wrestled before?" Euan shook his head and said, "I'm the only cub in the forest."
"Cub?" said one of the other puppies, "You mean, you're a wolf?"
"Yes," said Euan, "Is that a problem?"
"No," said the puppy, "It's just that we never actually played with a wolf before."
"Well, if you don't want to play with a wolf, I can just go." said Euan turning to leave.
"We don't have a problem with playing with a wolf," said the puppy, "I mean it's not like you're dangerous right?"
"No, I'm not dangerous."
"Well, we'll teach you how to wrestle then." said the puppy, "But before we do, we should introduce ourselves. I'm Delilah, I'm a Alusky, a malamute/husky mix." she added after seeing Euan's puzzled look, "This is my sister, Sasha, she's an Alusky too, Roxy and her brothers, Stokey and Skidder, they're Carpathian sheepdog/husky mixes, Comet and his brother, Chaos, they're Bea-tzu/chow chow mixes, and Sledge, she's a Afghan spaniel/Shiba inu mix. What's your name?"
"My name's Euan, my mother and I are from a cave in the woods."
"Well, let's teach you how to wrestle, all you do is push, bark, growl, and bite, but just play bite, we don't bite to hard. It's actually kinda like hunting."
"Oh, you mean like this?" Euan pounced on Comet and bit him soft on the ear.
"Yeah, l-l-l-like th-th-that." said Stokey, he was scratching behind his neck no-stop.
"Is he okay?"
"Yeah, he just has a bad case of the fleas." answered Skidder, "But it's okay, he's used to it."
"Y-y-y-eah," said Stumpy done scratching, "But I-I-I'm s-sure th-they'll go away soon."
"Hopefully." said Chaos and he pounced on Stokey. Right after he did, a snarling voice from behind them said, "What are you guys doing?" They looked around and saw two puppies, one of them was growling and snarling, "Oh, um, hello Blunder, Bando." said Skidder, obviously scared of the newcomers.

New Home, New Friends, New Enemies Part 2

The pup named Blunder and the other pup Bando walked over to the group, as they did so, Blunder kept glaring at Euan until they were face to face.
"Listen, wolf;" said Blunder, "My team don't hang around with different species like you so why don't you get back to your pack?"
"I don't see why I can't play with them, I mean it's just harmless fun!" said Euan.
"I suppose you don't know how things run here, so I think I'll make it simple for you. Me and my brother Bando, my ma, and pa run things around here so if you get in my way, it'll be the last thing you'll ever do."
"Actually Blunder,: said Sledge, "Correct me if I'm wrong-which I'm not-but last time I checked, that St. Bernard Doc and that wolf/dog Balto run things around here and your family are just outcasts." Blunder barked at her telling her to be quiet before facing back to Euan.
"Get out of here wolf, there's enough filth like you here without it getting any filthier."
"My kind are not filth," growled Euan, "And neither am I, also if you really were running this town, and hate filth like fleas, then I doubt tht you'd still have Stokey here when he's clearly covered in fleas." Blunder turned to face Stokey who was scratching the back of his neck again and turned back to Euan, "That's different, he's a dog, and you're a wolf, so get lost."
"Leave Euan alone, Blunder!" said Skidder, "He didn't do any harm."
"Yeah, stop doing this prejudice stuff!" said Chaos.
Blunder snorted with laughter and said, "'Euan'? Isn't that a girl's name?" Euan felt embarrased and said, "It's better than 'Blunder' that name is most definetly stupid, like you and where I'm from 'Bando' means dim-witted. So leave us alone!"
Blunder growled and suddenly pushed Euan to the ground, "I'm not going to have a wolf talk to me like that!" he snarled. He got back up and started to walk away with Bando until Euan jumped on Blunder and started biting him hard on the ear. Blunder yelped and bit on Euan so that he could get off, Euan yelped too and tried to shake away the pain but Blunder pounced on Euan and bit his muzzle. Euan pushed Blunder hard away from him and bit his tail, Blunder howled and something big came over and pushed Euan roughly away from Blunder. It was a bigger dog, almost as big as a wolf, he was black and white and had a look that made hi look like he was glaring all the time. Euan backed away slowly from the snarling dog.
"Get out of here, wolf!" the dog snarled, "And stay away from these dogs, or it will be the last thing you'll ever do!" He turned away from Euan, he walked back towards the group until the dog turned sharply around and said, "I said, stay away!" he barked at Euan who ran away from the dog, but it didn't do any good, the dog was chasing after him. Euan tried to outrun the dog but he was still right behind him. Euan howled for his mother and hoped that she heard him, he ran all through the town until he ran into a dead end. He franticly searched for a way out through the fence but he was stuck. The dog was at the entrance of the dead end, getting ready to attack.
"I told you to stay away from those dogs," he growled, "and you went right back to them! You should learn to listen to your elders!" Euan closed his eyes as the dog ran towards him and waited for the worst until he heard a thud, two dogs snarling and barking. Euan opened his eyes and saw his mother fighting the dog, she was biting onto his leg and snarling while the other dog yelped and tried to push her away from him. A loud sound was heard and Tirion let go of the dog and she and Euan looked around, a human was holding a long medal instrument with a hole at the end of it. Tirion backed away from the human for some reason looking scared, she turned to Euan and said, "Run Euan, and don't look back!" Euan did was his mother told him to a ran from the human and the dog, another loud sound was heard and Euan stopped to look around. He didn't see his mother running after him, I was running pretty fast he thought, Maybe she's catching up and waiting for me back at the hiding spot He ran all the way back to the hiding place but saw that his mother wasn't there. He waited until sunset for his mother, but she never came. Euan layed on the ground, trying to get comfortable but he couldn't knowing his mother wasn't there with him. He ran out of the hiding spot and looked around to see if she was on her way, but she wasn't. He layed down on the cold ground and silently cried until someone said, "Don't be sad, Euan. It's allright." He looked around and saw his mother standing over him, she was a bit bruised and she was holding up her paw because it wasa broken, but she was smiling at Euan. Eaun wagged his tail and nuzzled his mother, happy to see that she was alive.

New Home, New Friends, New Enemies Part 3

"I'm so happy to see you!" Euan said, still crying as he licked his mother's face.
"Don't worry, I'm here, I'm here." said Tirion as she nuzzled Euan.
"Mother, can we please go home?"
"I'm sorry Euan, but we can't go yet, we still haven't gotten a messae from the pack yet. Besides, I have to stay here and meet with all the dogs in the town."
"Why?" asked Euan.
"Because of my actions today, I'm to meet them tomorrow night, and Euan, I want you to stay here tomorrow. We can't risk you to leave and get into even more trouble."
"But mother, it wasn't my fault, I was just playing with some of the puppies until that dog and those other two puppies came along."
"I know that, but you still have to stay here where it's safe. Maybe your new friends can come here and play with you. Now, let's get inside, we must get some rest."

The next day Tirion left to go hunt while Euan stayed at home feeling bored. He missed his friends and wondered where they were. He left the space under the house and looked outside to see his friends, he saw them talking near the street and there was no sign of Blunder, Bando, or that dog. He ran over to them and said, "Hey guys, can I join you?"
"Sure, we were just discussing what we should do today." said Delilah.
"Why don't we wrestle again today?"
"We did that for three days, it's kinda boring now." said Comet.
"I know," said Skidder, "How about we race?"
"Skidder, we did that all week last week." said Sledge, "Besides, everytime we race Sasha always wins so what difference would it make if we did it again today?"
"How about we go to the forest and do an obsticle course?" said Roxy, "You know, climb, jump, swim, run."
"That s-s-sounds great!" said Stokey.
"I'd go with you if I could, but my mother told me to stay at home today. She said we can't risk me getting into trouble again like yesterday."
"We could play with you at your home." said Sasha.
"But we won't be able to do anything, there's nothing to do under there except eat and sleep."
"Where's your mother?"
"She went hunting but I don't know where."
"Then why don't you secretly come to the forest with us and come back before your mother does?" asked Skidder.
"You mean, lie to her?" asked Euan, "But I've never lied to her before! In fact, I haven't lied to anyone my whole life!"
"Big surprise." said a voice behind him. Euan turned around and saw Blunder and Bando coming towards them.
"So you've neverl lied to anyone before, what a big surprise." said blunder in a sarcastic tone, "We don't need telling twice that you're a mama's boy."
"I'm not a mama's boy!" said Euan.
"Then come into the forest and do the obsticle course, maybe we'll do a little race."
Euan thought about it and said, "Allright, but if I win, you and Bando stop being mean to me and other wolves."
"Okay, but when I win, you and your kind leave us dogs alone, deal?" said Blunder. Euan thought about it again, he knew he was fast but he wasn't a good climber or jumper but he didn't want everybody to think that he was a coward so he said, "Deal."

After a few minutes, the pups were at the forest and getting ready to run.
"Before we play," said Delilah, "Euan and Bunder should have a partner in case one of them needs a break."
"I choose Bando." Blunder said instantly.
"I choose..." Euan said, looking at the pups, he was told the talent that each of them had; Delilah was fast and a good climber but she couldn't jump or swim well, Stokey could swim but every time he ran he would stop and scratch himself, Skidder allways went off course when he ran, Roxy was smart and a good climber but she was a bad jumper, Comet could swim but he couldn't jump, Chaos could jump and climb but he couldn't swim or run, Sledge was a fast runner but she couldn't jump or climb, but Sasha could swim, climb, run, and jump well without any problems so Euan decided to say, "Sasha." Euan and Blunder stood at their mark between two pinecones.
"When I bark," said Chaos, "you will run from here to the river, where either you or your partner will swim through, then you or your partner will climb those rocks, and you or your partner will jump from that ledge to the next, and run back over here. So on your mark, get set..." Chaos barkd loud and Euan and Blunder sped off to the river and jumped in to swim, the river was a bit cold but Euan ignored it. When he and Blunder got back onto land they rolled onto the snow and ran towards the rocks where Sasha and Bando waited for them. Euan hit Sasha's paw to signal her to run and sat down to rest from all that running, he climbed up a hill near the rocks and waited for the others to come. Sasha came up first with Bando right behind her, panting from the rough climb. Sasha hit Euan's paw while Blunder tried to keep up, Euan looked around and saw that Blunder was waiting at the bottom of the hill near the ledge, Euan guessed that he was just going ot have Bando do most of the work. Euan looked across the ledge, it was pretty far and he knew that e might not make it. Bando was at the top of the hill trying to catch his breathe, Euan didn't think that it would be fair for him to jump and run ahead of Bando when he was mostly tired so he waited for him to catch his breathe and keep up. Bando caught his breathe and ran towards the ledge and jumped, his front paws caught the end of the ledge just in time and used all his strength to pull himself up. Euan looked at the ledge again and looked down, if he fell, he wouldn't have to worry about getting killed sine there was just snow and mud at the bottom. He heard Blunder laughing and saying, "What's the matter you scaredy cat? Can't jump?" Euan turned around and ran to get a heard start, he turned back to the ledge and ran all his might, when he got to the end of the ledge, he jumped and closed his eyes, he knew that when e opened them Blunder will be at the finish line and he would be covered in snow and mud. When he landed, he didn't feel any mud splashing on him, he opened his eyes and to his surprise, he was at the other side. Euan didn't stay and stare in amazment at the the other ledge because Bando was already running towards Blunder so he ran all the way down the hill. He sped past Bando and Blunder and next thing he knew, he was at the finish line and all the pups were congraduating him and telling him how amazed they were when he jumped the ledge. Blunder came up to the finish line and snarled, "What's the big deal? Anyone can make that jump!"He ran up the hill and was a couple feet away from the ledge. After he made sure everybody was watching him, he ran to the ledge and jumped to the other side, but he didn't make it, instead he fell in the snow and mud at the bottom. Everyone howled with laughter, Euan the loudest of them all, they all celebrated Euan and Sasha's victory by playing by the river. They all wrestled, raced, laughed, and swam for a few hours until Euan decided it was time for him to get back home, before he left he said his good byes to his friends, he asked Delilah and Roxy why they were laughing so much. "We're just talking about you and Sasha..." said Delilah.
"And how much you guys make a good couple." finished Roxy still laughing. Euan blushed, "We're not going to be a couple."
"Well, not now," said Roxy, "But soon."
"Actually we're never going to be a couple ever!"
"Oh come on, just give her a chance!"
"I'll give a chance as a friend but not a mate."
"Ypu'll be together soon, I just know it!" said Delilah, she pushed him playfully and he pushed her back, only to accidently pushing Sasha into the river and him falling into the river with her.
Everyone except Euan and Sasha laughed and Roxy said, "They're so cute together!" Euan got out of the river and shook the water off along with Sasha. Euan looked at Sasha and appologize for accidently pushing her into the water only she wasn't really in a forgiving mood, "You shouldn't have pushed anyway!"
"Delilah started it!"
"I don't care who started it, you still shouldn't hit someone back!"
"Look at them," said Roxy, "Quareling like an old married couple."
"They're definetly right for eachother," said Delilah, "They both know right from wrong."
Sasha glared at them and said, "You two are such... ugh!"
Euan ran out of the forest while Sasha was yelling at Delilah and Roxy. When he got back to the town and back home, he saw that his mother was already home and was looking stern.
"Where were you?" she asked still looking stern.
"I was playing in the forest with my friends, and mother you wouldn't believe what I did, there was this ledge and this far jump and you won't believe this but I was able to make that jump without stumbling and-"
"You went into the forest without adutl supervision?" asked Tirion, looking shocked, "You could've met Niju and his pack and...hang on, did you say that you made a huge jump from one ledge to another?"
Euan was confused, "Yes," he said, "why?"
"Hmm, I didn't make a jump like that until I was six months old." she said impressed, but then she remembered why she was mad at Euan and said, "But you still shouldn't have gone into the forest without me or an adult."
"I'm sorry."
"Well, you're safe, tha's all that matters...why are you wet?"
Euan remembered that he fell in the river and simply said, "Girls are crazy."

Chapter 3: Life Part 1

That night, Euan woke up from his easy sleep by his mother who was looking grave.
"Euan," she whispered to him, "please, my son, listen to me. Everything I've done, I've done to protect you. remember this, Euan. No matter how things may seem to change, never forget who you are."
"Why are you telling me this?" asked Euan.
"I'm going to my trial sentence and I just wanted you to know. We'll meet again soon. I love you." she licked him and walked outside. "I almost forgotten." Tirion walked back to Euan and took off the scarf she wore and put it on Euan, "I want you to keep that to help you remember me." She nuzzled Euan and ran back outside. Euan waited a minute and quietly followed her. She waslked through town for five minutes until she reached into a shed. She quietly went inside, and he heard voices, he ran to the shed and looked through a crack in the doorway. Euan guessed that all the grown dogs in town were there and a big dog with another dog were sitting at the far end. Euan recognised the other dog at once and knew that it was Aleu's father, Balto, Tirion was sitting in front of them looking even more grave.
"Tirion, gray wolf of Aleu's pack." said the big dog, "You've been called here for your sentence of attacking a dog and human. How do you plead?"
Tirion was silent for a moment and said, "Both guilty and not guilty."
"Explain why you feel both, Tirion." said Balto.
"Doc, Balto I know I deserve something bad to happen to me for attacking a human and a dog, but I had to for my son's safety."
"You have a son?" asked the dog named Doc, "Why haven't you brought him here to explain for your actions, also?"
"Doc, this is a waste of time!" said the dog that attacked Euan the other day, "She said she was guilty and I think that's good enough for us!" Other dogs barked in agreement and disagreement, until Doc and Balto called for silence.
"I didn't bring my son here because he wasn't at complete fault of my actions and that he shouldn't pay for the price I'm given. You see, my son wanted to play with some of the pups in this town but two other pups-I think their names were Blunder and Bando-came over and picked on him and his wolf heritage. Then Blunder and my son were in a fight until that dog," she nodded towards the dog that attacked Euan, "Came and threatened my son. My son went back to the pups but then the dog tried to attack him and started to chase through the town. I think that if I wasn't watching, I doubt that my son would even be alive today. So I had to stop the dog. but then a man came with a gun thinking that I was trying to kill him so I sent my son back to where we're staying. I decided to try and take the gun away from the man's hand but only to end up almost killed so I decided to bite him so he wouldn't shoot. I was trying to protect my son, and I didn't want him to grow up by himself with no guardian."
"He doesn't have any other family members? Don't you have any adult friends that could look after him, like the pack?" asked Balto ignoring the dog's scoff.
"I don't have any other family members, my mate died a month after my son was born, and Aleu and everyone else in the pack were in a fight with an enemy wolf pack and are now in hiding, my son doesn't know where they could be so he can't travel in the woods by himself."
"Well," said Doc, "Protecting your son may have been the right thing to do, but attacking a human was a foolish action. Tonight, you will find someone to care for your son, and tomorrow morning you will go to the woods and meet a human holding a gun, you will not attack, you will stay where you are and wait for your sentence. Dismissed." All the dogs got up and where headed for the door to leave the shed. Euan ran aside and hi behind the doorway so no one would see him. He saw his mother sadly leave the shed but suddenly stop in front of Balto.
"Tirion," he said, "How about I save you the trouble of finding a new guardian, Jenna and I will be happy to take care of him."
"Thank you Balto," she answered, "and i want you to know that Bayou from Aleu's pack sent us a message that everyone is safe, and I'd appreciate it if you would take him to where they're hiding as soon as they send a message."
"I will, and Tirion. I'm very sorry."
"It's allright. I knew this would happen, I better get back before my son worries." Tirion ran past the door towards house she and Euan were staying. Euan quickley ran past after her. When he got there, he was glad to see she wasn't there yet. He layed back down where he was before and pretended to sleep until his mother came and layed down next to him. She softly nuzzled him and licked him before she went to sleep, and Euan started to get into an uneasy sleep. The next morning, Euan woke up and looked around for his mother, she wasn't there.

Life Part 2

Euan left the house and searched the town. Everywhere he looked she was no where to be found. He left the town and searched the wods until he heard a sound from a gun. Euan ran to where the sound came from until he ran into something solid and furry-it was black wolf. He seemed very familiar to Euan, but he knew that at the moment it wasn't important so he asked, "Have you seen a female gray wolf?"
"I have." the dark wolf said solemly.
"Could you please tell me where you saw her?"
"Forgive me, but you cannot. For you see, your mother can't be with you anymore."
"What do you-" Euan knew exactly what the wolf meant. His mother was gone, and she was never coming back. He lowered his head and silently began to cry. The dark wolf looked at him sadly and said, "Come, my friend." He walked deep into the forest with Euan walking behind him.

Euan never went back to the town after he looked for his mother, but after the dark wolf took him in, he returned to the town but only to get his mother's scarf so he could always remember her. Every night when he slept, he would lay on the scarf for warmth like his mother gave him. Euan never saw any of his friends from the town again, he didn't want to get in trouble just for being near them. The dark wolf told him to stay near him wherever he went so he could keep an eye on him. Whenever the wolf hunted, he had Euan stay in a bush and watch him take down an animal for their next meal. Euan wanted to explore the forest but the wolf told him to stay with him at all times
"I don't see why I can't just wander around a little bit." said Euan.
"It's not safe right now to go on your own, there are many dangers in the forest uch as Niju's exiled pack."
"But it's playing is important in a young cub's life."
"Is it now?"
"Yes, my mother told me. On nice clear days like these we would always play in the forest until sundown."
The wolf looked sad and said, "Euan, I think it's best to leave the past in the past. A wolf does not look back. Only ahead."
"Oh. I've never been taught that before."
"Then I think it's time for you to learn. Now come along, we should get back to the cave and get some sleep." Euan followed the wolf without another word until they reached the cave. When wolf fell asleep, Euan felt wide awake, he looked around and saw a family of feild mice around an oval rock. He crept a little closer to them and listened to what they said.
"I don't hear anything." said the oldest male mouse.
"Is it empty?" asked the youngest mouse, "Can we have it?"
"Cody" said a female mouse.
"Maybe we should tap it, so it can wake up." suggested another male mouse, he looked like the oldest sibling in the family while the other mouse named Cody seemed to be the youngest.
"I don't think it's going to make it, Beltzer." said the female, "Let's just get home." When the mice left, Euan took a closer look at the rock and saw that it was an egg. He rolled the egg into the cave and layed next to it to keep it warm. He even rested it in his mother's scarf to keep it warmer. The next day, Euan heard something cracking and shaking next to him and looked around, to his surprise, the egg was hatching and a baby bird was coming out of it. He looked next to him to see if the wolf was there only to see that he was gone. Euan looked around and saw that the wolf was standing over him and the baby bird, Euan made himself closer to the bird to keep it warm and looked back up at the wolf hoping he wouldn't try to eat it, but to his relief, the wolf smiled and said, "I'm proud of you."

Life Part 3

After the next fews weeks, the little goose Euan helped hatched learned to waddle. Euan always kept a close eye on her to make sure that hunters and animals like foxes or bears wouldn't eat her. After three weeks, the goose named Harmony and Euan grew to be best friends. One day, little Harmony wadled into the river and started to learn to swim. Euan kept a very close eye on her to make sure she wouldn't get too far or drown. But she did a very good job learning on her own. Euan swam into the water with her and made sure that he wouldn't splash her when he got near her. The dark wolf smiled as he watched Euan and Harmony swim around. When Euan and Harmony finished playing, they climber out of the river and shook the water off.
"We better get going," said the wolf, "It's getting dark, and I've been told that it's going to be very cold tonight." Euan followed the wolf but Harmony stayed behind because she was trying to catch a fish that was swimming near her. She tried to catch it with her "paws"(she thinks she's a wolf since she's being raised by them) but she couldn't reached so she tried to grab it with her mouth. She still couldn't reach it. Euan turned and walked back to Harmony, "Come on, we got to go." he said, nudging her.
"Can you help me get this fish?" Harmony asked.
"Alright, but after I do, we're running to the wolf, okay?"
"Okay." Euan shot his face into the water and pulled the fish out, "Okay, now let's go."
"Well, look who it is," said a voice behind them, "It's the wolf cub." Euan put the fish down and turned around and saw that Blunder and Bando were walking towards them.
"And look," said Bando, "He's got a little feathery friend too. Dinner time."
Euan stood in front of Harmony and snarled, "Leave her alone."
"You don't want to share?" Blunder asked pretending to sound hurt, "Aww, and I thought we were friends." Bando tried to move around Euan but Euan growled, "Don't lay a paw on her."
"Who's gonna stop us, wolf? It's just you against us." said Blunder. Euan turned to Harmony and said, "Go on, get out of here, fast!" Harony started to run and Blunder and Bando started to run after her. Euan shoved Blunder and bit his paw. Bando pushed Euan off Blunder hard and they started to run after Harmony. Euan ran after them and bit Bando's tail, Bando yelped and bit Euan's leg. Euan bit Bando's ear and ran after Blunder. He shoved Blunder out of the way, gently picked up Harmony, set her on his back, and ran off after the wolf. When he got ot the wolf, he said, "There's some pups trying to eat Harmony and they're trying to attack me." The wolf looked behind Euan and when he saw Blunder and Bando running up to them, he barked and snarled, "Leave here, outsiders. You are not to come here without an invitation."
"Our father said we shouldn't listen to wolves like you." said Bando, though he and Blunder were looking scared.
"Your father doesn't know our laws, leave now, for it is unwise for newborns like yourselves to come here by yourselves." he barked again and Blunder and Bando ran off. Euan and Harmony smiled nut they stopped smiling when they saw the strict look on the wolf's face.
"We need to talk."
