Zira did NOT commit suicide......

Everyone says zira commited suicide!

Thats completly NOT TRUE!(from my view)

When Zira and kiara rolled of the ledge and zira was about to fall kiara tried to save her,kiara wanted to HELP zira by pulling her up, but zira DID NOT want her help, she belives it is scars land and doesnt want help from the pridelanders, And then she DID NOT commit suicide she FELL,and just because a person COPYED a video with the name *ZIRAS SUICIDE* doesnt make it true!
And anyways, who would think to commit suicide ON A CHILDRENS MOVIE!?

Then sry to burst your bubble, but it's not copied, it's a deleted scene from TLK2. If you even look in the finished movie, you can see Zira smiling as she falls...

Also, they decided to cut it because it was to dark...

I don't know why they originally wanted it to be a suicide...that's a question for Disney...

Well yeah, if this wasn't a children's movie that scene might have made it. And yes, it is a bit too dark for my taste. :twisted:

That's kinda why they deleted that scene, because after watching it they realized it was just too mature for kids to be watching. The reason why they did that in the first place was probably to make the movie more dramatic and to give it more thrill. But, in the end it was too much for young audiences to understand and too scary as well.

I do not believe she commited suicide its a kids movie and I liked to act out those movies when I was 3-5 and they probably thought about it and didn't want little kids to pretend to kill themselves :lol:

I have never thought that much about that part. But I think that she did fall on purpose.
The cut scenes are not always even if they should be. The disney prodoction must have cut it out of some reason.
Anyway I think she may have comited suiside or she have jumpt whit a hope to survive.

It would have actually been ok in my opinion if they kept the seen. Why? Because for a more mature audience, they would understand the fact that Zira is evil and would rather die than join (which is consitent even after the rest of her pride joined Simba's).

I do NOT think that kids of that age would even comprehend that when she "smiles" she is committing suicide happily. Sure they might think falling is fun (like jumping on the bed or falling onto the rug) but most kids probably don't even understand the full meaning of the word suicide.

One of the great things of classic Disney films is that they KNEW how to talk to both audiences: adults and children. If you watch Disney movies now, there are things that you never knew were there. (many jokes that I know i didn't get when I first watched it as a child)

In the final product of TLKII it isn't apparent that Zira commits suicide, just that she lost her grip and fell and died.

Yes, she commited suicide.
The cutscene proves she did. Plus, when she falls off of the cliff, you see her smile.
