But hear this, the wolves many people here worship (not including me) are murderers. If everyone in the world was a vegetarian or a vegan, most of the plants would be gone, and everyone would starve and die, leaving the earth blank, eventually plants would grow back and rule the world with nobody to eat them. It's the carnivores and omnivores that cut back on the omnivores and herbivores that eat plants. The herbivores and omnivores eat the plants, the omnivores and the carnivores eat the herbivores and omnivores, when the omnivores and carnivores die, they make the dirt richer so more plants for the herbivores can grow, understand?
No, I don't think vegetarians and vegans are aliens, it's just ecology is never explained to them good, which I'm not sure if I explained it good or not, but that's the best I can do.

I'm a vegatarian, I can't stand to think about whats in the meat, let alone what the poor animals when through. I wasn't always a vegataian, but once I stoped eating meat I felt healthier and it made a huge difference in my skin, it's clear of any acne now. I won't eat any animal not even fish, some people say they don't count... they do.
And it's not that I don't understand ecology, I get it. I'm not saying that everyone should be a vegatarian, just that I am. But I think that it would be good to have more, people that are vegatarians are typically not overweight (like most americans) and they supposedly live like 10 years longer. but I don't know if I would say thats true. But thats what tests have concluded. If all the land that is used to raise "slauther cows", was used to grow plants instead I think we would be set. Once some plants are harvested new ones will grow fine, it's a renewable resource. Of course I in no way think this will actually happen but, I can dream.

There's nothing wrong with being a vegetarian, but there's nothing wrong with eating meat either. If people are going to say that meat eaters are bad and evil then they can say the same about vegetarians for killing plants.

Just because people eat meat doesn't mean they don't like animals.

I'm not a vegetarian but I don't eat meat that much and I could be if I wanted too but I don't. I only have steak once every 2 months and that's pretty much it, except pepperoni pizza..

I agree.

I know a few vegetarians at school and they are some of the nicest people I know. They are no different whatsoever to any other person though - they just don't eat meat. There are a few idiots at school also who seriously mock and torment a vegetarian boy with meat and pictures of sick animals. This is ridiculous. It's people like that who don't get anywhere in life.

However, I do not like the sort of vegetarian who will look down their nose at you for eating meat. I mean, if I don't eat that ham sandwich, someone else will. You can't stop the entire world eating meat. Humans and many meat-eating animals have been eating meat since way back when. I guess you could say that it is natural. Vegetarianism is a pretty recent thing really.

I often think about becoming a veggie myself but firstly my entire family eats meat and secondly I just love so many meat products. However, if I ever did become a veggie it would probably be quite simple. I don't eat fish anyway and I love cheese and most vegetables and fruit.

And yeah, fish is a form of meat. A real veggie wouldn't eat fish. A fish is still an animal after all.

You know, not all hamburgers and hot dogs have crap in them. Some of them are made with 100% real meat. So don't generalize the situation.

I have no problem with veggies, one of my friends had been vegetarian for 2 years until just recently. I tried but, I love meat.

I really hate when people say things like the world would be better off if humans wouldnt eat meat. I know that no one has said this yet.

I am aware of what some of the meat is and also think about what is holding a brot together. The truth is we get use out of eating meat, IE proteins, and Fats. Yes we do need that fats to store energy.

You have to also look at it this way you are eating meat you get what ever they put in that meat, most of the time chemicals. If you are a vegetarian you are also getting all the chemcials they spray onto them and the fertilizer. The best thing to do is eat organic food.

And really the whole you are killing animals thing is one sided because we raise the animals to be eaten, we get more energy while eating less. If we all were vegetarian we could use up all of our vegitation and have other animals dieing or being killed only to rot (though it helps the soil but it can reach it's limits)

Yay people agree with me! XD

Whitewolf, Organic vegetables and fruits aren't any different from the normal ones, I didn't know until a few days ago when I read it in my moms Readers Digest magazine, to think of all the money we wasted...

I beg to differ, organic foods are different from regular processed foods.

There is less chemicals applied to them and:
A recent study in 2006 measured the levels of organophosphorus pesticide exposure in 23 schoolchildren before and after replacing their diet with organic food. In this study it was found that levels of organophosphorus pesticide exposure dropped dramatically and immediately when the children switched to an organic diet.

You would be talking about PETA and ALF (Animal Liberation front) The ALF is a terrorist group with little interest in the animals they save. I say that because they let animals not native to an area free in it. In 1998 they let 6,000 minks go in Britin 2,000 were captured and 2,000 were killed while 2,000 are still lose.

They have also blown up testing facilities with the animals still there.
