Aniu's Past
Story by Katja
Prolouge:
I am often misunderstood. Some say that I have no voice, or even no past. I have a past like everyone. Is just that I keep quiet; but today I'll talk. I'm Aniu. Balto's mother. My pups are Balto and Reea, but Balto doesn't know anything about her: neither do I.
So, to start off, I am a white wolf. I remember that as a pup I always liked snow. In fact, everyday I ate snow. My mother, Karissa, and my father, John, always said to me this: "Don't eat yellow snow, Ani!" Ani was what they called me. I was their only daughter. You know what was my mistake? To run away. I ran away because my father told me to keep quiet while parents were talking. I felt mad so I ran away. Hey, y'know, pups are very ignorant.
When I was one year old, I had my first litter of pups. Only two. Their father was Zitka. He was a black with white husky. My pups were beautiful... I named them Balto and Reea.
One day, I discovered Zitka had another mate. My rage was so high... My body felt hot. Really hot. I could hear a "SSSSSSSSS" sound on my ears. My yellow eyes penetrated into Zitka's big, green eyes. He seemed scared. I remember his words:
"Ani! I'm so sorry..."
I coudn't help it. I jumped on him. He yelled and tried to bite me back, but I got him by the neck. I swang him around, taking half of his skin off his neck. I felt the taste of blood on my tounge... and I liked it. Zitka's new mate looked scared. Her yellow eyes were full of tears, but I didn't cared. I went to her and bit her entire face. I wanted to stop but I coudn't. I kept biting her until she stopped breathing.
"Two murders on one day," I thought. "I'm in so much trouble." I said smiling.
As I walked outside from the cave, Balto and Reea were waiting for me. At only four months of age they asked for everything.
"Mom, why is you face red?" or "Mom, why do you look mad?"
I didn't answer. "Just keep walking; we'll get home soon," I said.
As we walked towards our den, Balto seemed sad. I noticed. I said:
"What's wrong dear?"
"Why didn't you answered our questions?"
I stood quiet, and replied:
"Somethings are supposed to keep quiet, Balto,"
We later then reached to my den. It was confortable, made with my fur and plants I gathered up. I layed down to feed my pups. "Drink, my little ones," I said softly while they drank milk. Everything was good for now, well, atleast for me...
More comin' soon!
