Was reading in an animal rights book cigarette and marijuana companies make dogs smoke until their lungs burn out (sometimes catch on fire) in often unnessasary expieriments. Often this involves shovig a tube down the dogsthroat and blowing thick dirty cig smoke until he dies.

Another reason why cigarettes should be banned completely. They aren't good for the health of those who smoke them and they also damage the life of others who live around them. They cause dependancies and they just plain stink up the world. They banned them from almost everywhere in France. It's just depressing how the people reacted. "We are furious that they have taken away our right to smoke inside the caffee." Said a woman from France. God how stupid can you be? It was done for the well being of France. That woman should seriously read up on the effects of smoking.

As for the drugs, the same thing. Except they are already banned so all we can do is catch the rats that slip through the cracks.

If you ask me humans need to wake up and start worrying today because tomorrow it WILL be too late. And I bet I know what the smokers will say, "People should have told us to stop." Oh, and the ever so popular, "It's not just us cars and trash polute too"

Because they think that animals are jsut animals. They don't care, the wolrd revolves around money. That's the only thing that matters to most people.*sigh*

They don't care they're on four legs and can't talk our language so lets kill them all seriously people are just retarted these days oh yeah and one more thing people who do animal abuse go straight to hell I don't know how you can live like that killing innocencs

I do agree that it's wrong they test it on animals. But I don't see any thing wrong with smoking either tobacco or marijuana. If people want to I say let them, but don't make a dog smoke, thats wrong.

I saw this on PETA, now I know PETA's full of crap but that isn't the only place I've heard it from.

It's sad and ignorant, but if they don't ban cigarettes for killing humans then there's even less of a chance that they will ban them for killing animals.

There's really nothing we can do except complain, it's sad but it's the truth, and we have to live with it.

Um, I'm going to call BS (not BaltoSource folks) on this one.

Number one, your lungs can't catch on fire from smoking. I don't care if you puff for an hour as fast and as hard as you can, you're not going to make it hot enough to start your lungs on fire. Yes, if you puff too hard, a cigar can get hot enough for the smoke to be uncomfortably warm in your mouth, but it's not going to start you on fire. Flesh doesn't burn at the same tempurature as paper or tobacco.

Number two, you mention marijuana companies. What the heck is a marijuana company? Are we talking about overseas (not in America)?

Number three, why would they bother to do this? It doesn't make logical sense for this to happen, especially in this day and age. What are they supposedly trying to prove with this?

In all, I don't buy it folks. Maybe it happened a long time ago, but I don't see it happening today.

And lets not get into a debate about smoking. I'll smoke a stogie if I want to. If you don't like it, then don't stand near me. I can't smoke it in a restaurant or a hospital. Heck, I can't even bring my Cuban Coronas in bar for crying out loud. But if sitting outside and enjoying a smoke, doggone it, I'm going to enjoy it.
