I think I was about six and we were studying early 1900's American history. When we got to Balto, my teacher let us watch it.

Actually, yesterday was the first time I saw it complete from start to finish. I had seen bits and pieces on TV from time to time, but I always seemed to miss seeing the whole thing. So I took the time last night to sit down in front of YouTube and watch a pirated version someone had posted. The clarity wasn't the best in the world, but it was nice to finally see it in its entirety.

'twas 2005, and I was 9. My friend saw it on TV, as well as part of Wolf Quest, told me about them, I hired out the DVDs and here we are today. After seeing both B1 and WQ, I hired out WoC but I didn't understand it and found it boring. Still, I think the plot is a bit flat, but I want to see the whole thing again.

Badabing badaboom, just like me!XD I saw it when I was about that age. It was the only movie I would ever rent at the video store apart from 101 dalmations. And now, I own it on VHS it took me a while to convince the store clerk to sell it to me.

All of you who don't have the dvd : feel free to buy it when you have the occasion. The problem that Universal has with Balto is that there aren't enough sales, so give them more sales...Don't wait for a special edition, this is only a petition for now and it would still be a miracle if they would do it.

Anyway, coming back to the topic, I saw it for the first time at 19, when it aired on the french tv for christmas. I had never seen it or even heard about it before, even though I've always been interested in traditional animation films...And I will never forgive Universal for that.
