I have noticed that many forum topics are something like this (just giving a brief example):

"Have you noticed that when Balto entered the boiler's room he said hi to everyone apart from Dusty (or whatever). I can't remeber them being in a fight, or did i miss anything?"

Well, the answer is NO YOU HAVEN'T MISS ANYTHING, becasue it's a CARTOOOOOOOOOOON and thing may go different to the reality!

Or something like that. Now, it really bugs me when people post topics like that, only because something went odd. Can't they just get the message that Balto is not a film, but just a simple cartoon, which is not about getting everything exactly right, but it is about a hero that saved a town, not about a stupid blooper.

Also there won't be much discussion over it. A topic like that would probably receive around 15 replies similar to my example and that will be it.

But even if you want to share out with the world your "discoveries", then write an article. It has a greater chance to get people interested, than a forum topic about the same thing. That's what an article is basically about.

I must agree that topics with 3 or less sentences are usually pretty useless.

Mrawhahhaha. I find that a lot of topics are pointless. And a lot of people ask the same thing over and over again (like in the Balto sections, not that I go there very often).

Generally topics with one or two sentences really arent worth being there. But hey, we can only do so much.

Yes i agree. A good topic can not just possibly consist of two sentences. The more desccription you give to your topic the morei interesting it seems to be.

Asking questions aren't a bad thing, but if they are totally stupid, then don't ask them with a topic. You'll save yourself from other members who respond by ridiculing the question.

If you're question might sound dumb, PM a mod. I'm sure if they aren't busy at the time that they could help you.

(this suggestion, however, is only that. The mods didn't tell me to say this, so if you get scolded for asking, don't blame me. 99.9% of the time thy don't mind clarifying something.)

Ditto. Also, for the people who start topics in order to ask questions (such as the example in the beginning post), it takes intelligence to admit that you don't know something; therefore, if a member has a question (that has not been asked before, anyway), they should be allowed to ask without getting trashed by others. Also, this is a public forum, people will post things that you personally don't like, but that others do.

In other words, if you don't like the topic, ignore it and go read something else.
