The story I want to tell you happened in ancient time.It has no releation with Balto,if you really want it,I only can tell you:maybe the leading actor of this story is Balto’s ancestor.At that time,Egyptian of south haven’t built their great pyromids,and north areas are still in one part.Then we will have a look at the icy northern Europe…….
Chapter one,The last day of this hunting season
“Why do you kill your brethrens?” After Vikin tore out his throat,the wolf says shaky, his blood is shedding into fallen leaves and groud under his body.Vikin,the killer,is standing near this wolf,and appreciating his dying.A few minutes passed,the wolf’s legs straightens and stops struggling against death.He’ve just been failed.
“Your brethren?How can I be your brethrent?”Vikin says, to both that lifeless body and himself.At that moment,wind brings lod barking,a big dog pack is running towards him.
“Well done,youngster.”Shaka,the leader of the dog pack,says to Vikin,then he introduces Vikin to other dogs of another tribe.
“This is Vikin.Don’t look down upon his youth though he is only two years old.He is the best hunter in this area,a real wolf killer.But it is not enough to him.Last month he even killed a seal on the sea shore without people’s help.Now when someone call out him name,all wild creatures begins to run as quickly as they can.”
Vikin stands straightly,and coils his tail as a wreath.His pure black fur is twinkling under the sun.He’ve never felt so strong and brave like this time.
“You are really good.”other dogs are astill speaking highly of him.”good and brave.Can you really can kill 3 wolves 1 day like they told us?”
“In fact I can tear out their throat before they can say something to me,and get no hurt.But today I underestimate this one a bit.”he looks at the wound on his left claw,but doesn’t mention the last words of the wolf.That wound is ashamed enough to him.
“No,don’t say like that,you are still win prides for our pure-blood dog pack.”
Vikin agrees with that,and of course he can be proud of himself.At that time dogs are still tameless,some of them even have heritage of wolves, half wolves can do hunting better. But all pure-blood dogs can’t bear it, including Vikin.Thanks to his achievement, they do better than half breeds at this hunting season.
“Vikin here?”his owner calls,and toss a big pieces of flesh when Vikin is running towards.People are always give meat to the best dog after huntingfor reward.Suddenly,a half wolf jumps up and grabs that in his mouth.
“Please give it back to me,sir.”Vikin says gently.
He gets no answer,that dog begins to tear into the meat.
“You’d better give it back to me.”Vikin repeats with the fur on his neck is straighten.”You can win yours next hunting season.”
“Go back to yourden.”The half breed growls.”Or I’ll tear you into…….”Before he stops,Vikin lightning jumps on the top of him.”Och!”his left ear is be torn into”V’form.
“I don’t want the meat you’ve ate any more,go away with that,it is enough.”Vikin kicks the meat to half breed,then he turn to his fellow dogs.”I want to go home now,I can wait to see my dad,see you guys at shindig tomorrow evening.I also can’t wait to relax and play crazily with you.”
“See you,Vikin!”They says.”Without you that shindig will be boring.”

Vikin runs back his home and finds his father is sleeping near the tent.That is a stranger black mixer,about him there are many legends and tales.It is said he also was the best one ,or great hunting dog before,Wolves,deer,and even bears he’ve killed can’t be counted.But with no reason,he become doll and lazy at last huting season, anything can escape in front of him.Now the only job he can do iswacting over reindeer ,which are kept by humans,but he is still eat too much,much more than his value.
“Luric is a waste dog now.”People talk to each other.”But his temper is better than before.”
Vikin knows a little of that,but he can only remembers his father’s past,his promptness,his bravery and his headstrong.He loves his dad deeply and can’t wait to get his praise now.
“Dad,dad!”he pushes Luric but get no answer.”I’m back ,wake up.”he grabs Luric’s ear and pulls.”Wake…………up!”his voice is coming from the back of his fangs.
“What?What?”Luric is woke up at last.”What is the matter?.........Vikin?You are back?”They rubb neck with each other.
Then Luric sits down……..Vikin is a big one,but Luric is taller than him for a head………..”What about the hunting,son?”
“Prety good,dad,you should had gone to see me.”Vikin can’t control his exciting.”I killed many wolves……….nearly as two packs,and that is not plus another animal.I got champion in this season,our owner even gave me meat!They says I am the best!”
“Well done,my son.I am really prond of you.”Luric rubs Vikin’s forehead with his chin.But he is not looked happy.
Vikin doesn’t realize it at all.”Because of me,we beat those half breeds this year,and I taught a half breed a lesson when he've robbed my meat.”
“Haven’t I told you never fight with others?”Luric says.
“But I can’t bear it,dad,He robbed my meat and insult me.No one can bear it if he is a pure-blood dog.Dad,am I the true pure-blood dog?”
“Yes,you are pure-blood ,my son.”Luric says slipshodly,but Vikin is too tired to realize his father’s stranger temper.He lays nest to Luric,fall asleep quickly.Luric looks at him,and begins to lick the wound of his left claw.
The aurora is weaving and dancing on the skyland,moon is shedding silver downwards.Everything is calm ,no matter for reating or for hunting.Luric is still awake.he is distracted.
“Maybe must tell him.He must know”He says to himself soundlessly.”But…….his heart will be broken………Or I can tell him all of this is my fault……..but………how an he accept……”he sigh heavily,but also soundlessly.
A lonely howl is blown from forest,Vikin’s ears sensitive straight up ,and Luric notices that.

Chapter2 The shindig

“What does that white wolf say next?”They ask Vikin.
“He says to white fox”Vikin jumps on a rock.”’you needn’t call me brother or teacher.’he looms to the fox.’you just call me-------------wolf!’then the white wolf begins to eat that white fox.,the white fox dosen’t stop crying until his muzzle is ate up.”
“Hahahaha……….you are really a big joker!”A big amount of laughters breaks out,thenVikin’s fellow dogs arrive.
“Hello,Vikin.”Where is your father?”a dog asks.
“He doesn’t want to come. ”Vikin answers.”I am afraid.Maybe he is old , nothing can make him excited now.”
“Luric was the best player when he was young>”Shaka says to Vikin.’no one can beat him in any game..I envied him very much at that time. But………….”He sighs “how does he become like that?”
“I believe my dad is the best when he was young.” says Vikin with shagging his fur.”but now my time is coming .And now who wants to scuffle? All of you can come.”
A big crowd of young dogs jump on the top of Vikin with loud and playful barks.,but Vikin instant rushes out. He grabs anyone nears him and drops them one after one on the ground.Just after a short time,all of attackers have been beaten and laying on the ground.
“Any challengers?” He yells. But there is no replies.
“We don’t dare.”A moment later,one of his best friends whispers.”You are the best.”
Vikin shags his fur and turns his tail up. In fact he never know what is humility in his life.
“Stand up,underdogs.”He shouts to them again.” And relax yourselves from now on!”Then he disappears rapidly.
Every years while the hunting season is over,all dogs of this area would come to this open place beside forest, to celebrate their successful hunting and their coming long holiday.That is the most important festival of them,even their owners know that,they often put some fresh preys for their dogs for thanking their hard work during last years. Every dogs share news with others and make friends, but this time is also for some young single dogs to look for their mates.
That is Vikin is going to do, he is walking across the crowd to look for Kerta,his true love. That is a beautiful silver dog………….nearly pure white.Her body is white and lithe as snow.Her eyes is clear and calm as lakes,She is clean as ice,passionate as flame,mystic as aurora, resolute as black rock,beautiful as…………Vikin can hardly find suitable words for describing her beauty.
Kerta is standing near the lake,Vikin knows she is waiting for him.So he slows down his steps and closes to Kerta.”Kerta.”He calls her name suddenly.” Have you already heard………..”
“I heard of the great Vikin today.”Kerta replies with a smile, then turn to Vikin.”I have known you killed two packs of wolf by yourself this season.”
“What do you think of that?”Vikin is always excited while someone is mentioned his achievement in this hunting season.”I’m sure you’ll like it.”
“That is good ,but.”Kerta nuzzles the wound of Vikin’s left claw and says.”If you can stay home with no harm.I’ll be more happy.”
“Is this your true thought?”asks Vikin.
“Of course not,dear.I like brave warriors,no matter how many wounds on his body,those always are good symbols of his bravery.”says Kerta while walking nearer the lake with Vikin.
“Look.”Vikin looks down to the water, two dogs are looking upwards .One is black ,the other is white.
“They are ourselves in another world.”Kerta says,and then put her head on Vikin’s shoulder.” How do you think about our puppies’ looking?”
“Er……..I’d love they will be white as snow field:clean,lithe and sweet.”Vikin says solftly.
“No,I think they’ll be black as sky of long night: :strength,brave and mystic.”Kerta replies.
“Maybe it is good for them to look like both of us.”Vikin says.”I’ll love them,as I love you.”
“Oh,my love.”Kerta bite Vikin’s ear gently and runs swiftly towards to the forest.Vikin rapid runs after her.
They are running into the forest of this autumn one after the other, fallen leaves are whispering under their feet. The first pieces of snowf lake are wafted around them, dancing with them silently and happily. Upon their heads, the aurora is still weaving mysteriously on the sky land.

When the moon is rising to the middle of the sky,they come back to the open place.The big crowd is parted into several packs around each prey that people had sent to them.
“Dine together has already begun.”Vikin says to Kerta”I’a afraid we can hardly find something to eat.”
“Look at that!”Kerta touches Vikin .”A young caribou.”
Vikin goes there and check it.”It is very thin,but we can get enough silence here.What do you think of that?”
“As you like,my dear!”Kerta replies.”Actually I am not hungry at all.”
“Well.”Vikin says.” Please taste it first.”
Kerta begins to bite into that little deer, while suddenly is knocked down by someone.Vikin glaring at the stranger angrily after taking care of Kerta,he finds the left ear of that stranger is in “V” form.
“How dare you mutt!”Vikin growls to his old enemy.”Don’t you know you can never bit females?”
“For us, whoever bother us is our enemy” After saying that, the small pack of such half breeds jump on the preys and eat rudly.They even combat with each other while eating..
“Stop,I warn you!”Vikin looms them slowly with the fur on his back is straight up.”Don’t be covetous like your wolf father or wolf mother!”
“We are just half wolves.” the one with “v” form ear raises his head while stops eating.” and you brat had better don’t be smug, you are a PUREBRED WOLF!!!”
“That is impossiable.”Vikin growls again.”How dare you call me a wolf.I am the real prue-blood…………”
“Wolf.”the leader mutt says with a grim smile.”Or you can bark like us.”
“Bark?”Vikin had never heard of this before,actually hunting dogs like them must learn how to be quiet as their first lesson.
“Only dogs can bark,if you are a dog,then show us.”the leader mutt says.”Woof,woof.”other dogs bark all together.
Vikin tries to bark like them,but it is strange: he can’t bark like that at all.He is surprising over there.,some pieces of dark clouds cover his eyes.
“Nonsense.”Kerta sudden jumps at the front of Vikin and show her fangs to other dogs.”For thisI’ll teach you a lesson !” Before Vikin can stop her,Kerta have jumps into the pack of half wolves,A stormy battle breaks out among them.
Vikin is also be pulled down by his enemies,but he doesn’t realizes it for a while,At that time,he suddenly reminds the last words of the wolf he killed yesterday.” Why do you kill you bretren?””A purebred wolf.”These two sentences appear in his heart alternately.”If………….”he thinks,and doesn’t care about fangs are cut into his body.
A sharp crying is brought in his ears.He tries hard to raise his head and finds Kerta is pinned to the ground unexpectedly, the leader of mutts bites into her throat cruelly while other dogs is tearing her.Kerta isn’t able to fight back,her clear eyers is becoming dim………………
Vikin sobered by seen this scene!His true love is killed because of his fault!He jumps up with a horrid roaring,and then flies himself to the leader of his enemies.Before he can notice that,four sharp fangs are lightning cut into his throat.Vikin is too sad to control himself,No matter how his enemy struggles,he is still biting heavily, until that mutt is stiff.
He drops that corpse for fighting with another one. But he don’t know while the pack is crowding to his back……..Abruptly,with sonorous barks,Shaka leads other pure-blood dogs are rushing to those half breeds.They hate each other for a long time,and eager to break out a battle.Now,they are scrimmaging with each other,their blood is shedding like rain.The sounds of growling,crying,bones breaking and whisper before death are heard here and their.
The shindig is becoming abttoir.
After killed 4 enemies,Vikin tries his best to crossing the battle,he must find Kerta.
Finally he finds her laying at the bonder of that open place with her eyes closed,her body have nearly been torn into pieces.When Vikin nuzzles her forehead,Kerta opens her eyes.
“My……………..love.”she says fitful.”You are almost covered with wounds.”
“Please………..please………forgive me.”Vikin says Tears is falling off his face.”It is my fault,I didn’t protect you well.I don’t know what I was thinking at that moment you are fighting with them……………………I……………..I……..hate myself,really.”
“Please don’t’ say that.”Kerta says tranquilly and laborsomely .”I know that is not your fault,and about me…………….I’d love to die for my true love.The only thing I’ve wondered is how can they kill a female?”
Vikin can’t says any word.He is just licking Kerta’s gory muzzle and chest,licking the open wound of her neck again and again.A huge sadness breacks his heart.
“I have to leave you alone now,.”Vikin’s figure is becoming more and more blurry in her eyes.”Vikin,dear.I feel very sad now.”She raises her muzzle a bit to Vikin’s ear.”But it is not for myself,it is for you.”With her chest is fallen down,her eyes are closed forever.
Vikin feels there is no warm breath touching his ear,he knows what’s happened:Kerta will not wake up any more!.Without anyomen,he abrupt raise his muzzle upwards and howls sorrowfully to the sky.No one have heard ssuch a sad song before,it is fling upon the forest ,the grassland and gets echo from roaring sea far far way,.Everything turns calm while hearing this sound and feeling the sad in it.Even the moon stops rising for seeing what happens below him.
After a while,a continual response is answering form beyond mountains.
A soft noise gets Vikin’s attention,he turns back and finds Shaka and other dogs are stands behind him.On farther place there are many corpses laying ,at that battle,half breeds lost most of them,but pure0blood pack also pay too much.They all look like red dogs because of covering with blood.
All of them are gazing Vikin oddly,esepcialy his fellow dogs,maybe they feel both angry and sad:how can their best friend,the great dog Vikin,is a wolf?
Vikin also notices that,he is gazing their friends back for a while,then get away from the open place without saying anything, A deep trace of dragging legs is leaving behind him in the snow.
Shaka and some older dogs are looking at Vikin’s back view,and sigh heavily together in their chests.

This is the chapter 3
Chapter 3 neither a true dog nor a eligible wolf
Luric finds Vikin is very different from the himself at noon,His beautiful fur’ve become disheveled and covered by blood and snow. His left hind leg is wounded seriously, and beeing dragging behind. His eyes are dim, tears are still keeping flowing along his muzzle and freeze on it.
“What’s wrong,Vikin.”Luric asks worriedly, then he begins to clean Vikin’s body.
Vikin Steps back, his face is seriours.”No,dad,please answer me first……………..”
“I know what you want to ask.”Luric sits down in the snow.” I should tell you about ……………”
“That is really true!”Vikin cries sadly in his heart.
“But………….”Luric becomes very angry suddenly.” Who told you about this? He broke his pledge, he should be punished………..”
“I don’t care about this.”Vikin breaks Luric’s words.” And I’ve punished him. I just want to know, why I am a wolf but living there?”
“Listen,Vikin.”Luric puts his claws up and down alternately, thinking how to tell this.” You’ve found after the hunting season before last, at that time, Actually we shouldn’t go for hunting after hunting season,we just thought that was for fun.I liked to go because I was the best wolf slayer of them,

“He understood my intent at last, but for him, there were still chance for living,but he gave up it.He turned back, at the edge of the cliff and glared at me. I loomed him with growling, there was no hope for him but two ways for death.And I was eager to fight with such a handsome and strong enemy.”
“But he didn’t rush to me, he just had a look at me, his eyes were full of scorn! Then he turned his back to me (For him that was very dangerous),I was surprised with his freak action, and forgot to attack.”
“And then that would be the scène I am not able to forget till my life. That wolf shags his fur to make himself looks bigger,and then raised his muzzle to the sky, opened his mouth, a long and mystic howl was flown out of his chest. I can understand most of wolf talk, but till now I am still can’t explain who he was talking to, what he was saying and which feeling he wants to show. Moonlight was covered him ,he just looked like a spirit at that time.!”
“Suddenly he jumped up, too high to believe in, and became one with the black sky land at night, I also thought like that.But he fell spang while reaching the highest point,.Like a spirit whose wings were broke. He sank and was swallowed by d he darkness below………..”
Luric is too feverish to say more, he take a deep breath to make himself calm, and continues.
“That was really a tragedy for that black wolf clan. Each of them must fought with several hunting dogs and the only end of it was be tore. There was no Fair,dogs even killed females and pups.But both males and females didn’t give up fighting until they bled white”
“I rushed off the cliff, still though about the sconce just now. That was the first time I felt sorry of a creature ,which was die for hunting, I decided to leave alone. But abruptly I found a corpse of a female wolf laying near a mound, some dog were digging and biting something.”
“While reminding that female may be the mate of the wolf who’d jumped off the cliff,Without concluding ,I knocked into them and found there was only one of pups were alive.,his brothers and sisters had already\been dead..”
“That pup must be me.”Vikin says while sitting.
“Yes,Vikin.”Luric says.” Depends on every rules, I must kill you or let you stay there to die, but something grabbed my heart when you were calling your family,so I raised you for my own and told this to other dogs>Because of redeemed for killing females and pups and hunting at the wrong time,or because I,the wolf slayer wanted to raise you, Strangely most of dogs agreed with my opinion, Then Shaka,the leader let all dogs swear :They’ll never tell you, and even their children you are a wolf, that is easy because there is no black wolf in this area after that tragedy’s that is wht your friends don’t know that and tell you.”
Luric stopped,.Both of them are sinking silence for a long time. The only sound around them is just the wind howling and snowflakes falling.
“Why did you tell me that earlier?”Vikin breaks the silence around them.
“I decided to tell you this for long,”Luric says” Because as a wolf, you’ve already become a wolf slayer>I don’t want you be that,Slaughteing other creatures is cruel.”.That is the same reason why I am acting as a useless dog these years. But out\ of my surprise ,you love and proud your job so…………it is also cruel to you…………….”
“Cruel?”Vikin shouts out at last,” You think that isn’t cruel that you tell me this too late! Because I am a wolf, a big battle broke out between pure-bloods are half breeds, because of this, many of them have died, because of this,Kerta also died for me,!that must be the cruelest thing I’ve come across! If you tell me I am the enemy of myself before, time can cure the wound of my puerile heart, that would be easier to cure wounds on a soft heart, but now, you rips my heart and leave a eternal scar on it.Isn’t it crueler than tell me earlier? Or just kill me when you found me!”
“You must hate me after knowing what I had done.”Luric says.
Vikin takes a painful deep breath .”No. I shall never hate you. You’ve saved me when I was young and brought me up,I also can understand a hunting dog’s eager, So I’ll never hate you, dad.”
“My son.”Luric is moved first time in his life.” Since you’ve known your life experience,I will compensate you with the rest of your life, I’ll…………….”
“No, dad, I must go.”Vikin says, sadly but calmly.” I can’t live here both as a wolf and a dog any more.”
“Vikin!where will you go?wait……please………”Luric stands up ,but he is tied to the stick near the tent and can’t move, he can’t not help but sitting right here.
“Good bye dad.”Vikin hangs his turnup tail like a real wolf.” I shall always remember your favor and love.”
“Maybe this is the farewell..”Vikin turns his head back and thinks, the figure of Luric become smaller and blurrier in his eyes……………
Falling snow covers all his footprints soon…………

Vikin is running away from the humans’ tribe,just like running away from himself before.
Two days have pasted.Vikin look more pitiful. Because haven’t ate anything these days, his stomach got in but ribs were protruded .Because of no shelter, his fur is freeze then become dirty and lackluster, His eyelids even are freeze so he can hardly see clearly.
But the most problem for him is hunger ,he’s never known that is such a terrible thing before., but now he taste the bitter of it. Although he is good at hunting with humans, but no one taught him how to hunt for food in the wild>.He is familiar with fighting with his preys face to face, but now, when he stops his preys’ way, all of them choose running away, he haven’t had enough powers for chasing in long time. There was only one time, a deer was compelled under crag. It suddenly turned back and knocked into him. He was flown out then fell into snow; his prey ran away as fast as it could.
After those unsuccessful huntings,Vikin was too hungry to bear, so when he was three wolverines
Were eating,he jumps into the pack and wanted to drive their prey off without concluding. But with such few powers, he wasn’t able to fight with those full wolverines, he ran away at last with His wounded hid leg was hurt again during the fight.
These are situations Vikin’d come across in two days, but I had never thought about go home even as such a wretch.
But now, There are dangers waiting for him.
He’s known he was noticed by at least two meat-eaters.One is a saber tooth lynx,he’s already sure about that,the other…….he doesn’t know what it is,but also sure about that is for him.
The long night of winter is coming,the sun fell more and more earlier. Without heating,Vikin is notable to go fast,he know ,if he can’t find food and shelter soon, he must be dead tomorrow.
One of the trackers is still follow him,but the other………….maybe that lynx………..had disappeared.”Well.”Vikin says to himself.”There is only one I have to deal with.”
“Where should I go next?” he thinks” Go home?…………no, that is not my home any more……….finding the wolf pack………….no wolf wants to accept a wolf slayer like me…………..still reaoming like this?………….hmm,”He laughed soundlessly.” I will die soon.”He is sure about this,,his steps are becoming shaky with his eyes can’t see anything clearly.
He is passing under a big tree while thinking, Abruptly a soft sound gets his attention…………..his sense of listening is still keen even at this hard time…………..he lightning jumps away from where he stood………….With spraying a lot of snow, that saber tooth lynx is standing on the place Vikin’d jumped from .It roars angrily for this failing.
If it is not in such a situation,Vikin will glad to fight with such a powerful enemy, but now, only he wants to do is running away..The lynx jumps close to him, he steps backwards and flaps snow to lnyx’s eyes,and then begins to ran.He would feel ashame when he is a hunting dog, but now,he have no time for thinking this.
Lynxes are all good at running.Vikin is dragging a wounded leg, that is even more difficult to win the lynx. The breath of his enemy can be heard mre and more clearly, it is jumping to him………….he suddenly stops,the lynx is flying over his head. Before it lands,Vikin turn left and runs uphill the crag.
That is a serious mistake. All lynxes are also good at climbing. Not long time passed, he’s notices that,the lynx nearly grabs his for leg several times ,the only thing he can do is keeping kicking stones down, some of them hit lynx’s head, it growls with pain.
That is a wonder for Vikin,he’d never climb at the top of this mountain while he was strong and healthy, but in such a poor situation like that, he climbed up for surviving.
Vikin has no time for rejoicing. He finds there is no way any more.” How did I make myself here? I will die for sure………..”At that time he notices that mystic creature, the other tracker is running to him rapidly.
“There are two want me to die, it must be the end.” he closes his eyes and waiting…………somebody rushes on him and then he feels there is no grounds under feet.”That one must knock me off the cliff” he thinks…and on a thick tree heavily, which is protruding from rocks…………..A sharp crying of lynx is flying into his ears, then he hears a heavy body are rolling off the steep side of the cliff with stones and ice.
After a non-short time,Vikin hears something knocks on the ground, and everything turn into silence of dark night.
Vikin feels headache, he is safe now, but all powers he left are squeeze out, He raises his head and find he can hardly climb off, he also has no power to use..”Well.”he sighs.” I am neither a rue dog, nor a eligible wolf.”
Snow is still keeping falling.Vikin changes his posture, and make half of his body under a protruding stone>Although it can’t cover all of his body, but is still the best shelter he’s found these days. He feels very tired so that close his eyes and turn himself into spoor.
If he’d got some mistake these days,that one must be the worst. Every one who is sleeping in such a cold weather outside and without eating anything, it would die very soon. But no one taught Vikin about this before,
The tree can’t bear the height of Vikin and snow, Chucks are coming underhis body,but he can’t hear them while sleeping……………………

Chapter4 Maya
A warm tongue touches Vikin’s eye lips。He opens his eyes, finding there is a blurry silver figure moving at front of him.
“Kerta?”Vikin socked, and then tries very hard to stand up, but he falls back to the ground weakly. He finds there is no feeling in that wounded hind leg.
“Don’t move.””Kerta” comes near, laying next to Vikin for keeping him warm. Then Vikin feels a little better.
He looks around, and finds he is in a lee cave,. Snow is still falling heavily outside. Although he is in this cave, he also feels very cold, Because he’d been wet all over. His head is painful while that hind leg’s already stiff like a stone.
Vikin turn his head to “Kerta” and looks at her very carefully, then he disappoint finds she is not Kerta,they just looks similar. The one who is keeping him warm is a wolf. She is in silver fur………nearly pure white.She is lithe as snowflake, beautiful as aurora………...but dislike Kerta,although this wolf is still young, a mark of laborious life has already cut in her face, like almost all wolves.
“I am not Kreta.My name is Maya.”that wolf says to Vikin.”But if Kerta is the one who is always getting ready to help you,I’ll be.At frist.open your mouth.”Vikin dose like she said.Maya put her muzzle into Vikin’s mouth,then Vikin tastes some meat jam.He swallows it edaciously, then Maya gives hi more patiently, until he feels full and warm.
That is an action of parent wolves who are feeding their pups, but Vikin doesn’t know it.
After Vikin is full.Maya begins to rub down his wounded hind leg with her tongue. At the beginning,Vikin can’t feel that for long. But wonderfully, a sharp pain socks his leg. The feeling is coming back slowly.”I can feel now.”Vikin says gratefully
“That is not enough.”Maya says. “Just look at here.”Vikin looks at his leg, and surprising with such many wounds on it, and he didn’t notice when it got hurt.”I know a little about healing. I promise you’ll be all right soon.”
Suddenly he reminds what happened yesterday, he was staying on a tree at last……..”How can I be there, it is impossible to climb up or down.Maya ,was you who took me here?”
“Me?” Maya says.”No,I suppose it was you who guided me here, but I found I was wrong while I saw you here.”
“Well, that must be strange.”Vikin says”.Maybe someone saved me first and guided you here to heal me. But who is that, why did it stay here and let us know?”
“Maybe you are right.”Maya says,”But the most important thing to you is getting better as soon as possible.”

A few days passed,Vikin feels all right, now he can even run with that leg.maya is taking care of him carefully as all female wolves.Vikin can’t remember his mother ,Maya makes him very surprising. This out of him impression of wolves.
“You are really a strange wolf.”Vikin says to Maya one day.
“You mean I am good at healing?” Maya asks.
“No.”Vikin says.” You are kind-hearted and soft,that is very different from wolves.”
“Are you joking?”Maya asks with surprise. “Which wolf bullied you before?”
“Ah……..”Vikin suddenly realized he is a wolf now.”Yeah,I am joking.But,still thank you for your healing.”
“You are welcome.”Maya says.” But actually, I have some problem I need your help.Only you can help me with that.”
“Me?”Vikin is very surprising.”Why do you think only I can help you?I am just a poorr pup you know that,and we didn’t know each other before……..”
“At this time of every year. A black wolf will come and help us, so I needn’t know you before. And your weak and wounded is just feint, you have the magic power and kind heart. That is the you inside.”
“You really think like that?”Vikin asks. “Then I ‘ll have a try, tell me what do you want.”
“I am the one of bluelake clan.”Maya says.” the clan is the ruler of this area. My father is the alpha wolf. He ruled up the whole area for many years.But now, another clan invads our territory. They are also strong and power enough as us.We often fight with others, many of wolves died, but either of us can win at last.”
“You mean you want me to help you winning that battle?”Vikin asks
“No, that is not I want you to do.”Maya says.” I need your help with stopping this pointless battle.”
“Why?”Vikin knows wolves will never give up defending their territory until die.” Why don’t you want to win?”
“That is the reason I can’t tell you.”Maya says.
Vikin is falling of thinking.
“I need a pack. Maybe they will accept me if I help Maya.”

Vikin and Maya arrives the west border of her clan’s territory.
“This is our territory.”Maya says “Do you know what to do now?”
“Maybe.”Vikin says. Actually he has no idea at all.
Suddenly a scary growling gets his attention. A lone tan wolf runs pass his front, after his there is a small pack of grey wolves. They are chasing the tan fast. The tan wolf runs very fast, but Vikin notices blood is flowing down his chest and shedding on the snow,,Then he falls, that pack of grey wolves jumps on the top of him.
Maya cries sharply and runs to the crowd, but she is knocked down heavily by a grey wolf.” My love!” she cries, tears are dropping from her face.
Vikin understands now! No one knows the pain of losing true love better than him, he reminds Kerta………..”Stop!” he rushes to that crowd as the north wind, and bites into the shoulder of the biggest grey wolf.” No one touch this wolf again!” he covers the tan wolf with his body.
“Vikin.”Maya cries happily with tears.
“The black wolf!” All attackers shout together.
“Maya,I get your meaning now.”Vikin says to Maya and then turn to grey wolves.” Stop your pointless battle. There are enough places for all of you.”
“Stop defending our territory?” a grey wolf shouts.”No,we’ll never stop.No matter who let us stop it,even a black wolf like you.Go away,or we’ll rip you into pieces.too.”They make a circle and loom to Vikin slowly.
“Come on, if you dare.”Vikin growls to them. He know he was the best wolf slayer before.
“No,sir.”says the tan wolf while trying to stand up.” Don’t get yourself in such a danger, that is because of me. Fight with me, dirty mutts, I’ll not give up soon.”
“Don’t worry; we’ll also kill you at that time.”
“Manu.”Maya cries.” Please don’t”
“You’d better obey what your love said.”Vikin says to Manu.” Treasure your true love, or it will be too late to regret.”
“But what about you?” Manu asks.
“It dosen’t matter.I can deal with them.”Vikin says.” Stay with Maya and let her heal you well.”
Grey wolves is coming near,Vikin gets ready for a cruel battle.
“What are you doing there?”A low voice asks.
“No,it is my dad.”Maya signs.
Grey wolves make room for the leader, a big silver wolf. He comes in and stops in front of Vikin.
“What are you doing here?” He asks rudly.”We don’t need your advice. Why do you always trouble me every year? If you really want to help me,just let me win this war!Or go away and keep silence!”
Now Vikin knows why Maya only dare heal him in a covert cave.
“Black wolf won’t let such a brutal leader win this war,Lar!Old headstronger!”Manu breaks the leader’s words.”You are a real illiberal one; we didn’t want to rob your place at first. But now, we’ll fight with you to die!”
“You shouldn’t be here,sonny!”That leader quick jumps near Manu ,grab his neck and drops his very far. Then he begins to give the last attack.
Vikin intercept him by a knocking.”You can’t attack anyone in front of me.”he says.” I suggest you save your powers.”
Lar looks Vikin up and down and finds he can’t win him in fight.”Leave my place,Manu.”he says.”you‘ll die very sure, I promise this to you.and you.” he turns to Vikin.”I’ll never listen to some wolves who smell like a dog.Maya!Leave here with me!”He orders.Maya take a quick look at Manu,then leave.
“He goes too far,sir.”Manu says to Vikin.”No wolf can bear to be called a dog.For me, I just glad to see he is in trouble.”
“Yes, I’ve never seen a wolf like that.”Vikin says.
“Then come with me,sir.”Manu says.” I am the leader of our clan. We’ll play host to you well.”
“I’d like to.”Vikin says.” And don’t call me sir. I am sure I am younger than you.”

The moon is rising again,Vikin climbs up a hill and sits next to Manu.
“I can’t rest well.’Manu says.” I don’t know what to do. I want to beat the bluelake clan, but don’t want hurt Maya’s heart.”
“Is fight the only way to solve the problem?”Vikin asks.” Don’t you deal with each other with peace?”
Peace?”Manu looks at Vikin.”It is them who didn’t give us peace.We only wanted to pass without harm at first,but they attacked us with no reason,my father and mother was killed by them. I’ll not forgive them at all!I must revenge! But……….”he bends his head.”………if I kill Maya’s father, she’ll hate me forever.”
“Where is the end if most of revenging?”says Vikin.”Maybe most of you don’t like war. That is you leaders impose on them, and it is also most of deceased are innocent ones. And about Maya,you know the pain of losing family better than anyone. Will you let her suffer the same thing?”
Manu iis thinking about Vikin’s words without saying.
“As I said:treature your true love.”Vikin stops for a while.” I had my love before, but lost her now.”
“What happened”Manu asks.
“A war.”
“I am sorry to hear that.”Manu replies.
They both fall into silence.
“Well.”Manu says suddenly.” Although it is too hard to give up revenge, but I’ll have a try, at least for Maya.”
“It is great to hear you say that.”Vikin says while straighting up his ears.
“Listen!” he says to Manu.” A howl.What is that?”
“No.”Manu shouts “The bluelake is attacking. On guard! On guard! Everyone!” Then he runs downhill rapidly.
A grey stream is rushing towards………

I parted the whole Chapter 4 into two parts.

Vikin is coning back!
Chapter 5 Snowslip
Blue lkae clantakes the esit of the valley that Manu's clan lives in.
Vikin runs throgh the crowd and shout to Lar."Stop!"he growls."how don't you feek ashame for making such a sneak attacking?"
"Only failure can make us feel ashame."Lar answers."And you'd better don't make me angry,or even your magic power can't stop my fangs."
"If you dare,then come."Vikin answers,they loom to each other sowly......
"No!"Manu jumps at the front of Vikin."No one touches my guest ,he is invoilanle here.I am the one you are looking for,come and fight me."
Without answering anything,Lar've jumps on Manu and bites deeply into his neck...........very closed to the throat.He pins Manu to the groud,his eyes become dark red,Manu's blood is flowning out of his mouth......
"Dad,please!"Maya begs suddenly."Please loosen him!"
Lar looks at his daughter strangly but doesn't open his mouth.
"Please."Maya begs again."I......I........I love him."
That must be a big shock for Lar,he hasn'e understand it for a long time.But suddenly,he makes a growling while Manu get out of his
mouth.
"Are you...........joking to me?"Lar asks his daughter,he voice is very close to a whisper.
Maya nods while rushing to Manu and healing his open wound on his neck.
"No."Lar says ,to both Maya and himself."Maya,how can you be the trsaitor,how can you betray your family and me?I.I....don't belive it."
"I am sorry dad."Maya says."But I am not the traitor,Getting on well in peace with each other is the only way for survive,so that is why I finds Vikin to help with it."
Lar breathes painfully while thinking hard.All of wolves are waiting for his answer.
'No!"he roars madly st last."I shall never get on well with my enemies,I am dealing with them during my whole life,nothing can change my ind.Maya,you've broke my heart by speaking,I'll break your heart with killing1"Lar flies himself to is daughter as wild wind,but in his heart he is still wishing Maya can dodge,but Maya is still covering Manu with her body,and waiting for his father's attacking............
A black creature jumps up and knocks into lar's stomach like lightning.
That is Vikin,he is standing at the front of Lar."You can kill neither of them,unless you kill me first."
"I will."Lar is too mad to control himself now,then they knock into each other heavily.
Lar is a gresat alpha wolf ,he has expirence and good at fight,Vikin is you nger than Lar,but he've trained as a good wolf slayer.So just after a short time,everyone can see who is better.Vikin grabs Lar several times,but doesn't kill him,however,Lar becomes mad,he jumps to Vikin like a real mad wolf,but Vikin dodges rapidly , grads Lar's back and throws him to the crag.Lar bumps on the crag and falls on the ground .He lays there unmovingly.
"Well."Vikin says.?YOu should Now you should know what should you don next.Go back to your territory then I 'll not kill you."
"Fine."Lar tries to stand hard."I know what should I do next,watch youre cake1?Vikin turns back and finds other grey wolves've stood at their back while he and other tan wolves was paying attention to Lar."No."Vikin whispers in his heart,but it is too late.
"There is no way for escape for all of you."Lar says with a brutal amile."This is the end ofyou and your friehds,now get ready to die!"Blie lake clan are circling to Valley clan and Vikin.' I just want all livings to know,no one can leave y terrtory al.ive!No one can step on my place.Hahahah......"he makes evil laughters.
"Dad!"maya begs last "I justime,but all of wolves know that is useless.
Vikin is getting ready to fight,but suddenly he noticessomething is roaring above them,he rises his head and looks............"What is that?"he cries."Snow is flowning off crags!"
"Snowslip."Maya says."That is terriable,something must be knocked to crag."
"I am sorry that is your father."Vikin says,all wolves are scared and begins to run away,but there is no way to escape now.
"Quick!"Manu says weakly."Run into that cave."vikin helps him standing and running into the cave of Valley clan's with other wolves.After the last one enters,a big mount of snowstufs up the esit of it...............

I shall never be in a same place with my enemies."Lar growls while realizing bothe blue lake and valley clan are in the same cave."KIll them and enjoy this cave ourselves."he yells to bue lake clan.
"Defend our cave and revange to them now."Manu yells to valley clan,too.He wants to show his bravery thought as such a weak and wounded leader.
"Manu.Stop!"Vikin says while two clan is nearly fight with each other."Remember what I told you."
Manu stops hard and sits down."You are right,Vikin."he gasps."This is the suitiable time for fight."He turns to the whole blue lake clan."You ust know we all be stuffed in this cave,if you don't work togather,we'll all be frozen and die here."
"Yes."Vikin says."Neither of you clan has enough member to make a pack,if you want to survive,you must work togather."
bluw lake clan stops,Kerran,the Beta lader,is thinking about Manu's words.
"Yes."he says."Manu is right.We must workas one clan and tr to get out this cave.Lar,don't you think?"
"no!"Kar shouts."You can't betray me.........."he flies himself to Kerran with his last powers,but Vikin bites into his back and bumps him on the ground.Lar falls down on his hear.He is unmoving like death.
"Now,I've beaten your leader."Vikin says to blue lake clan."All of you must obey me,lat's listen what Manu says."
"We can't escape from this esit."Manu says."it is stuffed,we can't struggle with soft snow like that.This cave has the other esit at the top of this crag,we must breack ice that coverd it for a few months,but that is the only way for living.WE use this ice cover for keeping out cold and wind,but it becomes a big pain of neck for us now."
"Well,then let's follow Manu."Vikin orders.
They arrive the other esit of that cave and begin to breack ice togather.So Manu is sure Vikin is right at that tie,grey wolves and tan wolves become good mates and friends soon,there is no hatry amoug them at all,hatry was brought by their keaders."Ice 've been broken a little."Manu shouts."I've never known we can do such a hard jod before!"
"That is because we are working togather.'Vikin says>"WE are breacking ice as the greatest clan .I feel very powerful now."actualy he feels his claws are frozen.
"Brothers,work harder,we'll get out soon."Manu encouradge every one,then Vikin leaves the and fins Lar."Wake up."he touches Lar."Follow me and get out this cave,so you can know what a great job we've done ."
Lar is following Vikin with nom words.

Wolves are getting out one after another,they are standing aon the top of crag and never know working togather without hatry can be so powerful like this,
"Manu thank you."kerran says to Manu."It is you who teach us giving up hatry can be so useful."
"Yes."Manu says"Givng up hatry is very useful to clans like us.None of us has enough members for being a pack,so maybe we can be one.But this idea was not coe from me,hat is Vikin's idea."
Then all wolves is coming and crowding Manu and Vikin."
"No!"Lar growls and jumps to Manu.He just can't bear not the center of his pack.He jumps on nothing nut the slip edge of the crag,he body is sliped exept two claws are still holding the edge hard."
"dad!"Maya cries and,then she rushes to his father and grabs the back of his neck.She pulls hard,but as a female wolf,she is not able to pull a n old heavy wolf up.
"Leave me here.Maya."Lar yells ."Or you'll be dragged by me.",but because of her love to her father,Maya is still trying.
Suddenly Lar take a bite on Maya's forleg,Maya jumps back with surprise.At that time,Lar is sliping more.
"Maya!Stop."Manu says while she is running to her dad again.
"What?'Mayacries."You don't let me save my father?You want him to die?That is you,I know now.You are a brutal leader like all of them.I hate you!"she growls to Manu and looms him as trating an enemy.
"I don't want you to be pulled togather."Manu says,still calmly."Let me have a try."
Vikin sits down ,he knows Manu can do if alone."
"Go away,leave e here.!Lar growls while Manu grabbing his neck.He bites Manu's leg but don't bcause of wanting to save him.But Manu don't give up trying to pull jim up.His legs are grasping into ground,blood is flownin from his leg and chafed claws,but at last,he pulls Lar up to the crag.
"Dad!"Maya cries happily and rushes to Lar,they rub necks for a long time.
Manu is standing with Vikin,his foreleg is still bleeding.
"Manu,thanks for saving me."lar says to Manu."I am sorry for all bad things I've done to you and your clan,I just want to repay you,but maybe you won;t accet fro a lone wolf like me."he knows all alpha wolves would become lone wolves after being beaten by another wolf.
"No."vikin says."I don't want to be leader of your pack,I don't want to beat you,but I had to do so at that time.Your new leader is Manu."
lar comes to Manu and get ready to show his respection.
"You needn't do this to me,Lar."Manu says."That is me who must show my respection to my leader.You can still be leader of new clan.Beacuse Maya and U will leave here and make our own clan next spring."
Lar stands there ,he can say nothing about this mount of changing.
"What about you,my brother/"Manu asks Vikin."
"I'll leave and go on my journey for....for...."he is thinking."for my clan and myself.I am glad to meet all of you.I shall never foget you."
"I feel so sad you must leave very soon after help us.But no matter what happens,you'll always be my brother."
"I am proud of that."Vikin replies,then he begins to leavethe new clan.
Maya,Manu ,Lar and other grey and tan wolves are still standing at the top of that crag and looking at Vikin's figure.They don't stop watching until he disappeared in new sunshine.
