I saw in my newspaper yesterday they think they found the tomb of Jesus, Mary Magdelene and their kids. Has anyone heard of this? What do you think of it?

Da Vinci Code influence? I guess yes.

I think it is a hoax. It is very corny. It really shocks me that people would try to make up that stuff.

Probably not real. According to my personal theology, any tomb of "Jesus" other than the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem is not possible, as Jesus ascended into heaven 40 days after he rose from the dead. Therefore, he couldn't have been buried on earth, if you discount the three days after the crucifixion.

But again, that's just my $0.02

I really cant say yes or no. But i mostly say no. I do think it's a hoax too. They'll need more proof.

I heard about that, there's a show on the History Channel eventually (can't remember when it was) that was investigating into that.

I'd like to know what the Carbon 14 dating says. I and most people I guess have a feeling this is untrue

I heard someone (my friend) say they found they weren't related. I don't know if thats true or not. And why is this now discovered before Lent (says my friend) which adds more to the hoax theory.

I'd say that there's a better chance of it belonging to somebody else named Jesus.

I also agree. I'm not a religious person, but I honestly don't think his tomb has been found. People just love making things up. >.>

This is so false on so many accounts.
a) Jesus didn't have kids, nor was He married.
b) Jesus asended into Heaven after He rose from the grave.
c) sounds like someone just wanted some publicity and attention. What a fool... *shakes head*

who says he rose to heaven alot of the things in the bible aren't always reliable
