I really don't like drawing dragons, but when a contest at another site came up, I decided to put myself to the test (of course, my competetivness had something to do with it )
Here's a Little Peacock Dragon:
And a Two-Headed Dragon:
Both done with Derwent Shading Pencils. Both were also done on really large paper, so when I scanned them, I had to do it in sections then mesh it back together (which ruined the quality). This meshing is especially apparent in the 2-headed dragon pic.
Anyway, constructive crits would be appreciated (just don't nit-pick >.<)

Thanks everyone
Yeah, the reason the 1st dragon looks like a lizard is because it is a 'Western Dragon'. The other is a European Dragon. I may do one more: an Eastern Dragon.
Western Dragons are known for having a set of hind legs and a pair of wings. This makes them appear bird-like or reptilian.
European Dragons are one of the most popular. They have 2 sets of limbs seperate from their pair of wings.
Eastern Dragons are serpantine and usually wingless. They have facial whiskers and one, sometimes two pair of tiny, almost non-existing limbs.

The detail is very good, and the scales look very nice ! Both were done very nicely, and you have a great imagination. I can't draw dragons anymore, they sort of floated out of my mind a few years back when I wasn't obbsessed anymore xDD
Very lovely work though !

Thank you very much^^
But the real problem with dragons is the scales; it takes alot of time and effort to draw every individual scale and make sure they are going the correct way (with the folds of skin). If you're already good at drawing and shading (and you're not lazy), then you'll be fantastic at it.
Thanks to everyone else! Your kind words are very much appreciated.
And here's a new dragon: An Eastern or Chinese Dragon. My first attempt at this species. Done with Sharpies.

Not bad for a first try, but for eastern dragons the point is usually not to show all of it, to emphasize length and the mystery/mysticism that surrounds them, which is why they are often partly shrouded by cloud.

I must say, nice Eastern dragon! But like Grhaeh Lit said, it's so 'revealing'
