What's so superior about wolves? I doubt we can call it "superior", but there are various reasons why people feel connected with them. One part of it is their "lovely", almost "fluffy" look, another important one their enormous sense for sociality (last but not least why "dogs" are our ideal partners)... and because of that again - another part - their similarity with domestic dogs. For big cats - big cats are "big", "strong" and extremely "intelligent" predators. They are apexpredators, in fact, which makes them "ruling" over every land-living animal else. Hence, what people primarily assign with them is "power" and "royality" (lion heads, manes, entire lion statues... that are all symbols for royality in our cultures... another great example would be the Sphinx of Giza). Though, they also have a "loving" side, and in the case of a tiger some sort of "fluffy" and "healthy" look... what attracts another group of people as well. Same here, I even work with them

I love wolves as well. Wild cats are nice, but... I don't know, they're not really very exciting. I find that once you've seen one lion you've seen them all. But that's just me, I don't know anything about wild cats.. I should really keep my mouth shut.
For every wolf that I've seen, each has been different. Even though I've never physically met a wolf I've watched them through bars.. zoos, wildlife parks and the like. Each just seems to behave differently and as his or her own personality. They're mysterious and just so unlike other creatures. They are so unique. Whilst being very beautiful as well. However, it does annoy me that people think wolves 'rule' and the like. It's a very childish attitude towards such majestic creatures.

Pantherines don't have much diversity among their own species (except for genetic errors). Yet they are just great in personality and mental capability, making them highly adaptive towards the most unimaginable circumstances of life, even allowing them to break their own native social behavior. It really depends. When you put animals into an equation of their attributes it's not much more than an expression of their physical might. However, it's wrong to put an animal above another one (hence, the reason why I questioned the "superior"), as an ecosystem itself is a sensible equation, an equation of survival of species, giving any surviving creature a good reason to exist and removing any "superior" status from any creature that belongs to the equation.

Got a poin, that its bad to over exagetate the good points.
I like their traits and looks. Socially they are exllcent, pack and family life. They are tough and very smart, and I also see that they are very relatable to humans (THats why they seem spritual) To me they seem rather mystic and wise.
If its animal animal I like its the wolf.
