Something that I don't like is how several people have the same usernames. Granted, it's hard to see who has what username out of 4,000 users.

Also, not so good usernames are an annoyance. I was searching thru the Memberlist and these are some of the names I saw...

Ihatebalto (no joke. This is the username)

Sexy..(something. didn't pay attention)

and there was another one that said the word sexy in it. This is a kids site for crying out loud!

I hear you.. and this goes for any community, I don't like it when people call themselves 'Balto' and make everyone else call them that. There is only one Balto and it isn't anyone here or there.

What's crazy is that the username was 'I HATE BALTO'. (they wern't all capitals)

This forum is supposed to be for Balto, not against him!

Because of Ray Quinn,and Ronno Fanatic,I had decided to take the a-t-i-c off of my username.

I know what you mean I don't know why someone would want to dub themselves a hater of something either. Like "# 1 Kiona hater" I have no idea what that person's issue is, but it's quite annoying. (and i don't care if i mentioned names, any username with the word "hate" used in any way is in it, I personally think it falls under the category of stupid names)

Don't ask me,but I've noticed these a VERY VERY VEEEEEERY long time ago..~ or more 4000 registered users...which 40% IF are active..and I desgust the fact that there are "stupid" people who are creating double accounts with OFFENDING words...like "cacaca166"? What the world?Poo? Pfwahaha....that person must be "SICK" in heir head to create such a username...like dude...Are you really bored..or why are you doing this?
Tss....I wish this would never happen,which this hardly would be.In a huge community...you can expect more of these...

I agree with you.. Some of the names are just disgusting, for example, a while ago there was a user named "balto IN alue" spelled exactly like that, and their profile was..disgusting (for lack of a better word).

You don't know HOW many people come on the shout box named "Ihatewolves", "IhateBalto", "Kiona_hater", "F***Balto", "Wolves suck", "Balto sucks" and so on..

Most of them are deleted, but still, it's SO annoying..

No offense to RQF,or RF intended,it was just that I decided to shorten the username from Sarabi Fanatic to Sarabi Fan.

All right. My God, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with what they're talking about!

And, yes, I've noticed it too and most of those people get banned before they can even start posting. I remember a user name "man boobs" or something...XD Wow, what a problem that kid was.
People are idiots and there's going to be people like that on a site as popular as this one. Yeah, it's annoying, but it can't be prevented, only helped.

Wow. I didn't realize this many people thought the way I do.

Maybe we can do something about this. I noticed the usernames while I was flipping thru the member list. I was thinking, if any of us see one, we could report it to a moderator.

Does that sound like a good idea?

Forgive my ignorance...but is this rant arguing against rude/offensive usernames or the ORIGINALITY of usernames (you said there were a lot of people that had the same name)?

Because IMHO, offensive usernames is what I can relate with you all on. People who make names like "ihatebalto" or "#1kionahater" just for the sake of declaring their hatred for something rather pathetic, and I wouldn't think twice about banning someone with a name like that.

As for people who have the SAME username...I suppose you can call them copycats...it IS a trait to look down upon, but it's not anything I'd ding someone for.

I think its both, Suka. I hate people with offensive usernames like "I_hate_Balto" what is their point on this site? They seem horrible and should be banned with a name like that. This is a Balto site and we don't have time for these people. If people want to join seriously, they should think of a respectful name.

I am sure Cat will remember this one, "Cat_Who_Has_14_Tails_Jenna"... Or whatever her name was. Made me laugh when I saw it. It was like "HOW UNORINGINAL!!!"...

Oh, and then one time someone took my 'Huskee' because they thought it was more 'manly' or something. I sent them a PM asking them to change it before I ate the two EE's off the end. XD!...

And I also notice there to be a lot of Maya's lately. o_0 It throws me off sometimes because someone will be calling one of the other 'maya's, Maya. Its like this user name is 'maya08' or something... It depresses me.

And some of these people who create usernames.... its... discusting. This one person for their interests it was something about eloping(sp?) with other humans... I was like. "o_0 This is a Balto site, not a Dating service"....... <.<;

There was also a person called 'emo<3' who had a picture of two guys kissing for his avatar & alot more pictures like that in his profile.

They came on asking if anybody was gay and if any gay guys wanted to date him.

I don't have a problem with gay people at all, but this is a BALTO site, NOT a dating site! How can it be so hard for them to understand?!

There was also a user named 'catwhohas16tails' and another time it said 'the newest registered user is: steet.'
