I read on a magazine that the longest somebody havent slepped was in 10 days!!! That very long!! I wonder how long he slepped after that!!?o_o < Eyes wide open>

I'm an insomniac...I don't sleep for two to three days...but I ge deathly sick afterward...odd huh?

I can't go one night without sleeping. If I do, or if I get a bad night's sleep then I feel really bad the next day and end up being ill.

One time I didn't sleep for 3 days. I think then I slept longer than I stayed awake.

There was a girl awake for 3 weeks which is 21 days

You crushed me. The longest I've ever gone was 73 hours. Let's just say that I wasn't the most active person in the world for the next few days. I couldn't even imagine going for 10 days. I would probably end up killing myself before day 7.

Actually, there is a disease that causes people to literally never fall asleep. I believe they have to be chemically knocked out so that their brain can regenerate, because the stress from being constantly awake will drive you insane. They live out their days in mental institutions, because they have literally been driven insane by the fact that they never are able to fall asleep. It's a horrible condition, from all I've heard.

After several days without sleep, you'll start to halucinate.

After about 7 days, you'll actually being to go insane.

Usually, after about 13 days or so, you will actually die. This has been proven with mice who were woken up every time they tried to sleep, to study what sleep deprivation does to an organism. Literally, you simply collapse and die.

Normally, it's impossible to force yourself to stay awake for more than 3 or 4 days. You'll simply start to experience "micro-sleeps" where you fall asleep for 5 or 10 seconds without realizing it. This is one of the dangers of long-haul trucking without sleep; it can cause accidents.

Sleep, especially deep, REM sleep, is extremely important to the body, even though scientists aren't quite sure exactly why.

lol Maybe I'll try that over the summer! Doupt it wil turn out since I can fall asleep any time, place or weather condition!XDD

They probably slepted for a regular amount of time after that, but even so, they more than likely were not able to function properly.

Wow the only way i would be able to stay awake more than 2 days. I would have to have a lot of skittles and mountain dew.
