Even if I know I am responsible for this, there are still very few visitors on Lion king source, compared to Balto Source. I know I don't update it and make efforts as much as BS, but I'm wondering if it's truly the only reason why it's not so popular.

I'm thinking maybe that the current design/layout of the site has some issues. Some people have recently reported to me that "the bright colors hurt their eyes", and I can't blame them for this, because that's something I've always had a problem with. Also, this is related to this, but the text is sometimes difficult to read because the text colors are very close to the background color.

So I am asking : what's your opinion, do you have the same problems with the design? Should I change it? I know I'll change it one day or another, but it would help me to "prioritize" all the work I have to do.

No,I don't see anything wrong with the design,it looks just fine to me.

Yes, its a bit to bright. I don't know what you could do about it. Maby red?
No effence, but maby a better banner too. Its got yellow in it and makes it bit to bright.

And yes, Steet. Tibby and I, where talking about it not long ago how why the questions aren't updated as frequently because the bright colours hurt her eyes after about three questions, or less.

The colours are just so bright... I never really cared because I didn't really go onto LK Source. But, now I have been trying to more. I attempt to go one once a day, or at least 5 times a week. Which I normally make. Just to see whats up over there.

And yes. The text is pretty close to the backround, making it hard to read. >.> I wouldn't know what to change it too. Wasn't it black before? And then you changed most of it to white..?

I like the layout and such, if only it wasn't so... bright. Thats what I like about BaltoSource. The colours are dark. And the forums colour works too, because its not to light to where I can't be on much.

It's too bright, that's a given. Personally, I like the design because it stays consistent with it's partner site, Balto Source, so I wouldn't change that.

Actually, other than the brightness, the site is fine by my standards.
What I suggest adding, however, is a Lion King Source forum skin because the forums is shared by both sites.

Another solution might be to advertise Lion King Source a little more than it is. As far as I can tell the only way to get to Lion King Source is by the button on Balto Source.

Yes, like most people have said, I think LKS is a bit to bright...especially after you're used to seeing BS blue and you suddenly starting seeing bright yellow. Other than the color scheme, I think it's fine.

Yes, I agree with the fact that it's like there isn't no Lion King forum for most visitors, without a Lion King skin. So many probably don't register for this reason. So, I think I'll make a Lion King skin as soon as the next version of the forum will come out.

Ok for your opinions, that's what I expected. I have an idea...I may not have the time to make a new design, but I'm not the only one here...I'll write a news on the site as soon as it will be ready.


Well, there is a link on the Wikipedia page for Lion King, and one on the Lion King.org links page...
I'll try getting more links from other sites though, I haven't really tried asking for link exchange for the english side of LKS.

Hmm... Lion King Source? Well, I have wondered too why it wasn't so popular. My reasons: The colours are too bright, the yellow doesn't look good. It should be a calmer colour and less bright, the Balto Source colour are great, but I am sure the LKS ones can be too.
Balto Source is one of the best Balto sites around. Balto has a lot of fans and I know Lion King does as well (and I don't mean this in a bad way, or saying that LKS is worse) but there are some main Lion King sites that people seem to prefer to go for Lion King. I think Steet you should focus on Balto Source still. Lion King has a lot of fans and big sites for its fans, but Balto needs all the help it can get since some of the other main sites such as Balto Central have shut down and Silver Wolfs page hasn't been to active lately. Maybe you could get someone else to take over Lion King Source and tackle its problems. This is only a suggestion though and my thoughts, so I understand if you disagree

I could always ask people for yahhs. XP.. I have nothing better to do, then to try and make BaltoSource, and LK Source better.

No, the two sites are both very integrated (on the programmation side), so they can't be separated like that. So it is, and it will stay my site.


Well, don't forget that LKS can be an open door to get more Balto fans...Based on the fact that anyone who likes Lion King has very good chances to like Balto as well.

Waaaaay too bright if you ask me. I can't stand the brightness. That's why I don't go there much, the colours make it unpleasent to visit. Sorry.

Yes, I agree with Steet. In fact, that's how I became interested in Balto (and came here ). I found LKS and eventually started seeing the Balto movies and stuff.

Yea, that is true. I like both (but I have to admit I prefer Balto, a lot) and if a fan stops in LKS and see the link to Balto Source maybe they will get interested. And they will already be a member if the registered in LKS, so yea, your right there Steet.
