Now We all know Universal hasent realeased any merchandise scence 1995.
But nothing for Balto 2 or 3.
Don't you think this is odd? It could be due to the fact that, not enough people bought merchandise When balto 1 was realeased.
it could be anything.
I just find this rather odd that Universal did'nt realease any merchandise with these 2 films.
Not even in Mcdonalds. Mcdonalds ushally realesess happy meal toys when a new movie comes out.( No I eat number 2 meals large fri.)
Like the time Spyro mini games just flooped into the place. i would like to see this happen to balto.

I don't know, this is my opinion, but I think it's completly stupid to release a film (even direct to video) without any marketing campaign. And this includes merchandise.
You have to understand though, that Universal does not produce merchandising themselves; they have to make deals with other manufacturers.
Although, they seem to go back with merchandise with the new TV series of Land before time and Curious george. It's now possible to find new merchandise for these two franchises, while there wasn't much more than for Balto released in the past years for Land before time. (except the video games, but in this specific case, I've noticed it was the other way round : the video game developer who asked Universal in order to be able to use their license)

I didn't even realize there was a Balto 3 until it came up on amazon.co.uk when I was buying Balto 1 & 2. I definetely think they should have made merchandise and as Steet said, they should have released it with more marketing campaigns.

Well that could be the part of it. But I wonder if Universal even botherd to ask other companys to make merchandise?
I also din't know there was a B3 untill my cousin told me.
I don't remeber when B3 was first realeased, but I din't get mine untill june.

I don't think so. Because I have seen them making an announce on the web, a call for manufacturers to make merchandising the Land before time TV series. But nothing for Balto (or for the LBT previous direct to videos)
