Here is a Visual Guide to making a clip on Windows Movie Maker. Someone had mentioned that no matter HOW hard she tried, she couldn't seem to get it. So, here is this for her. Its not so complex, but its good enough, and should help.
Ready? Lets go.
Well first, you are going to need to import your video, but I am not going to help you with that. I am simply here to get the clips done. But, once you have your video imported, we can move on.
So, lets say you only have one big movie file. But I dont. I have many clips. Many many many clips. But, I am going to turn a clip, into TWO clips. So, just think that the clip I am changing is one big movie.
So, we have our clip/movie. And you have clicked on it. Now what? NOW, you must play it until it gets to a point where you want to make it into a clip. THEN, you pause it.
Now, when you pause it, it should have the triangle on its side. Like so. That means, its paused. Sorry that there is no image avalible, but it wont work. So, just use your imagination.
But anyways, so now that it is paused, your going to have to split it. How do you do this? Click the 'Split Clip' button.
Once you click that, it will auto split the clip for you!.. Its amazing, nu?
Now, if you are just starting, you will probably be needing to STOP the clip somewhere. Well, its simple. Just repeat what we have learned. Go to where you want the clip to end, and then click on the split clip button. And thus you have it.
Now that you have a new clip, you need to drag it down to your... Whatever you wish to call it.
And then, you will have a new clip to gloat over. ;D
And that ends my little Visual Guide type thing. So, have fun.
