Animation Source Forums

Alright, about a week ago or so, I logged onto the site, and came onto the forums, the started posting. I realized something the second after I posted, that my post count went down. How is this possible? Only the day before I had 2871 posts. I PMed a mod about it, and I never got an answer. And I PMed the most active mod on the forums, yet the person didn't answer.

Does anyone have an idea about why this happened? I didn't do anything to upset the mods. I hadn't broken any rule, so I was, and still am very confused.

Now, today when I came onto the forums, I went to the Animation/Cartoons Board to check on a topic I had made about a Warriors movie. I sincerely doubt itcould have dropped off the first page within 1-2 days. People had still been posting the last time I was on, which wasn't too long ago, as I said. I scrolled carefully up and down the page, but my board wasn't there. Are the mods purposely deleting my boards and my posts?

I have always been one of the few members on this site to respect the mods, and agree with their tactics to handle bad behaving members. But now, I feel as if they're turning against me. I still respect them, but why all the hate towards me? Is it just a miscommunication, or did I truly do something wrong?

You didn't do anything, it's just that sometimes the mods have to delete large topics to save space. If you posted in those topics that were deleted, then your post count will go down. It happens to everyone.

Hmm, I think you misunderstood me Kari. That topic was ony created a few days ago, and it didn't even have one whole page of replies. I don't understand why it was deleted..

Then you'd probably have to look for the mod who deleted it to find out why. Maybe it was a duplicate; who knows?

Hmm, maybe something's wrong with my computer then.. Well at least that's solved. But I'm still annoyed at the post count.

Well, that I can understand. It was probably just a glitch with the site. It could happen to any forum.

Yes, that's a bug...I don't know what's causing this though.
The last time it happened, the topics reappeared a few days after, but no idea why.

EDIT : I just posted in it, and it reappeared...I guess you'll know what to do the next time something like this happens.

About your post counts, yes, some sections of the forums are regularly emptied to save space in the dabatase.
Besides, the post counts are not that important. I even thought of removing it, some time ago.
